I have bought a number of coloring books that has to do with animals. I do enjoy animals and coloring them relaxed me. My grandchildren like to watch and wants me to hang the pictures on their walls. Anyone that likes animals I would say buy the books and let you kids or grandkids post them in areas that could decorate and not destory their walls. You could share the fun.

I bought this book as a gift, but it seems like it will be great for the intended recipients. It's quite different from most of the other adult coloring books in that it is very realistic. I think Mom can color while little ones watch, and then it will become a treasured family book because the pictures were colored by mom. The story will also be a jumping off point for discussing wild animals and ethical behavior towards them.

Not a coloring book...it looks like a story book with maybe half the page a woodsy picture you can color.. But lots of black and not much area to color. I return this and would not recommend for an adult coloring book

I'm an outside person, camper, birdwatcher, explore the woods and forests, etc. But there a times when I want to sit quietly and focus on something both fun and educational. With a handful of colored pencils and this coloring book where ever I might be, I can find that quiet.

I wish I would have read the discription better. The drawings are on both sides of one page. That doesn't work well with colored pencils, they tend to bruise and dent the picture on the other side. Very child like drawings. More of an 8-16 year old than an adult. I'll try another artist. I say read the discription and look at a sample page if they provide one.

Have you ever been on a nature walk? I have and really enjoyed being surrounded by God's creation and wonder. I have been able to do that again even though I am now a Senior as I color page after page of the beautiful and talented illustrations inside this awesome book! I highly recommend it to anyone who loves nature and the wonder of God's creation!

A BEAUTIFUL PLACE WITH LARGE TREES, A BABBLING BROOK AND MANY FALL COLORS. IF YOU LIKE BEING IN THE WOODS OR HAVE BEEN IN THE WOODS THIS IS A GREAT REMINDER OF A PLACE MAYBE YOU HAVE VISITED AT ONE TIME. I WISH I COULD GO BACK THERE AND SPEND MORE THAN JUST A FEW HOURS. IT'S QUIET AND TRANQUIL-IT'S A REAL PLACE WITH PINE CONES AND PINE NEEDLES AND SMALL ANIMALS.

while the scenes were ok - who can color in this ?

the pages were so intricate in details that even with colored pencil an adult will have trouble coloring in the lines ....

no kiddo could use their crayons to color in this - badly designed coloring book .... not happy with this purchase at all.

Purchased this for my Dad who loves to color. Not many color books are for adults; therefore this one was perfect! Gave to Dad as a gift and he was so excited to receive this type of color book. Thanks so much for selling these types of color books which are nice for adults!

This A Walk In The Woods coloring book is quite detailed and is good for older children or adults that enjoy work with colored pencils. There is a wide variety of wildlife to enjoy and discriptive information about the flora and fauna on each page. It is challenging, and a delightful learning experience.

This is a great coloring book for a forest themed study for any age! I simply photo copy the pages that I need so that I can reuse the coloring book each year. It's a beautiful collection of images that are realistic for children to color. I love all Dover products.

Purchased this coloring book for my father, who loves to color. He had a stroke a number of years ago that made his artistic ability decline substantially...he loves to look at the fine drawings in this book, and color them to look like the paintings he used to create. He was absolutely thrilled with them and I was thrilled with the wonderful price and quick shipping of the item.

I just purchased these Dover COloring Books for my mother and she loves them. The detail is out of this world and the variety of colors you can use are only limited by your inagination. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The pictures are too complicated and I do not like to be told how to color them. I know what a beaver or mushroom or oak tree look like and resent being treated like a child just because I like to color.

Adult coloring books don't need a 'story' describing the picture/topic. Illustrations were very good, but the 'story' below each picture diminished the size of the illustration. For an adult, a full-page illustration is preferred.

This book is so detailed I actually find it a little overwhelming. Each page has several paragraphs, which are very informative but have small text as well as extremely detailed images. You could spend forever coloring these pages. If you are looking for a project that will keep your attention for a while this might be it!

This is more of a kid-friendly coloring book, although I can also see adults enjoying coloring the realistic rendition of animals. If you don't care about line drawings in your animals, then this is the book for you! The paper is thin, so use crayons or colored pencils only.

This book is really neat. It allows children to color realistic drawings of animals they might be familiar with or might be just learning about. It encourages them to get involved in the world around them. A Walk In The Woods is a coloring book that kids of all ages will enjoy and adults too. If you liked this book and want to teach your kiddos more about nature you might also try Deep in The Wild Woods. You should check out the book Deep in the Wild Woods... It is available for free on the store.com for Kindle Prime users... It is a story that encourages an appreciation of nature for young readers and has some great life lessons too. Just an all round fun book. Fun watching child find the "right" color for each animal - helps to teach mixing colors even with crayons to achieve something realalistic. Recommend this to everyone/all ages.

Love this book and the chance to bring to life the wildlife inside. It s a challenge to get the colors and shading just right but that is what I love. If you love doing pictures of wildlife then you will love this book.

Do not care for all the writing at the bottom. To much of the picture is heavily shaded in black already and I can not do it how I like. Dover books are OK for little kids. The art work is not the best.
