The Battle to Save America's Middle Class - This Fight Is Our Fight

I do like Elizabeth Warren and support her drive to protect middle class America so I read through this entire book. It was faster than you might think since the last 40% is just citations for quotes. It is easy to see her passion but I didn't find much new here. The videos of her questions at the Senate hearings over the past year seemed much more to the point.

This woman knows stuff! We all should be paying attention. She truly is concerned about big banks and corporations smashing down the middle class to nonexistence and about pay not keeping up with corporation profits. She's a very smart woman with very smart ideas about how to get this middle class out of the ditch and living healthy and successfully. She believes that the middle class is what built this country and she believes the future lies in the hands of the middle class, not the CEO's and big banks.

Ms. Warren presents a very compelling picture of what is wrong and happening in America now. Many of these things I was aware of, and some not aware of. The greed, dishonesty, and corruption in the government and business sectors is enough to enrage anyone who believes in fair play and decency. And Ms Warren sites a few examples of this behavior by those in Politics and business.---which is probably only the "tip of the iceberg"

Were these same bad actors that are in the government, politics and business running things and committing the same acts they are doing now in the 18th and 19 th centuries----this country would never "got off the ground". We would have gone "belly up" and bankrupt. Just like many countries in South America, just another banana republic with riots, chaos and looting. Immigration would no longer be a problem as most people would be looking to flee. But here is the problem "where would you go"?

First comment: the stars summary by the store is wrong. As of this review, although it says 32% of the reviews are 1 star, there's actually only a SINGLE 1-star review. That rating was regarding the order process, not the book.

I have never read anything which more clearly describes the immense issues we face currently with government. The book is facts (not alternative) -- not opinion or political slanting or wishful thinking. The subjects and concerns that Ms. Warren raises transcend any political party or ideology. Quite literally, the future of the USA will have dramatically less quality unless courses change.

Almost 1/2 of the book is devoted to voluminous notes backing up the content.

If you care about an America that is still "by the people and for the people", read this book!

Dear Heavens, I am very grateful for the Truth. Warren has the voice and push that I only wish the entire Democratic Party had. How long is it going to take for the Democrats to get off their "duff" and get with the needs of the American worker? Thank You Senator Warren: I couldn't agree more.
I, too, was a product of the 50's and 60's: with one income, my parents were able to help us, (3 kids), with college, buy us good clothes, buy a new Chevy every few years, and take a family vacation every year. People have been squeezed to within an inch of their life trying to make "ends" meet.
Why aren't more Democrats standing up and saying what Senator Warren is saying! Hoorah for the Truth!
