This book kept me interested the whole way through. Darren is a great writer. He makes you feel his anguish. This book hit me extra hard because I have a seventeen year old daughter. I can only imagine the huge hole in his heart without his Bex. A must read book if you like true crime.

Well written, painfully engaging book. I am heartbroken. What a beautiful girl Becky is...she still is to me. Her memory lives on in the present. I pray for God’s peace on Darren and Anjie and their family.

It was strange at first reading about a family from the fathers point of view but I found myself admiring him as a man and a father. My heart goes out to the family. Their tragedy was doubled then tripled with the loss of a grandson. I wish them peace.

Devastating story. My heart goes out to this family for the nightmare that they endured loosing their child to another sibling. It was very hard to put down. I hope they find some peace in life and I thank Mr. Galsworthy for sharing their daughter's precious life in this book. Highly recommend reading this.

To read of the love and struggles this family endured and remained strong through is a true testament of love. I was totally moved by this book and hope that they can find some type of peace from telling this sad and tragic story. You will see your Bex again that I know.

This book is particularly sad because it is written by the grieving father of the victim and therefore it is all from his perspective. It became quite repetitious when he wrote about his thoughts and feelings. There was a lot of personal information about the victim, her father and the rest of the family but unfortunately, almost nothing at all about the investigation and the crime. It is very apparent that he did not have any contact with police, investigators, the prosecution or the trial transcripts. There was a little bit about the trial but it was based on his experience at the trial, not official transcripts.

The crime took place in Britain and so some of the words were spelled differently and some of the expressions were unfamiliar. Also some of the conversations sounded a bit corny and fake.

I don't want to be too hard on Mr. Galsworthy because I realize he just wanted his daughter's story told and I don't blame him! It is very obvious that he loved her deeply and he lost her in such a horrific way! It had a very good picture section and his daughter was indeed a very pretty young lady! My heart goes out to him and his wife and his family.

The book reads more like a journal than a true crime book but perhaps that is exactly how he wanted it to be. It is just different from most other true crime books.

Written with affection and bravery, this father portrays a loving family destroyed by a senseless act of treachery. Difficult to read at times, but tells a lovely story of a precious soul taken too soon.
