Trafficked made the reality of how easy it is for young girls to fall into a bad situation, disburbingly clear. I couldn't put the book down. Sophie's extraordinary journey into and out of that world and the work that she continues to do is amazing. What an incredible woman!

Even though some parts of this novel struck me as unrealistic, it was still a gripping story of modern day slavery. If parts of the story are embellished, I suppose I can deal with that, since the purpose of this book is to raise awareness of trafficking.

Sex Trafficking is a Crime Against Humanity! Yet this criminal enterprise is an under-reported abomination that is shrouded in shadow and secrecy. Very few people are even aware that Human Trafficking, or Sex Trafficking, even exist; let alone that combined, they are the second largest criminal enterprise on our planet. Those in the west that are aware, suffer from the misconception that only those in third world and impoverished countries are at risk. The truth as evidenced by Sophie's harrowing account, is that it can happen to anyone, anywhere!

I am in awe of Sophie. After escaping her brutal enslavement, she could very easily have faded into the obscurity of perpetual victim-hood, her story forever buried under a mountain of shame and psychological damage. Yet this young women has had the courage and strength to share her very personal story with the world. Sophie's narration shines a very personal and focused light into the shadowy world of sex trafficking, and thus brings invaluable awareness to the rest of us. Her book will I believe make a profound difference in this world, by giving insight, and spreading awareness.

You will be shocked, you will cry, you will be very very angry, and at times you may feel very uncomfortable whilst reading Sophies words, but this is a story that had to be told, one that has to be read, and has to be shared.

This is a book that every young woman, indeed, every parent, should read.

This book is absolutely fascinating. Sometimes you want to yell at her to not take it anymore but then you are made to understand why she has to. One day I hope we can eradicate trafficking once and for all.

This actually happened and is still happening in the world today. Seriously we need to be raising more awareness and saving these girls from these vicious men/women who are preying on them constantly! If you want to know another way Human Trafficking can occur - READ THIS!

super redundant, poorly written. I was extremely frustrated with the main character for being so dumb on so many occasions. Commencing with going to another country with someone she had never really interacted with.

Thank you to those who added a review to recommend this book. It was a great book to read, but such a sad story. I know this goes on right in front of me, especially where I live. It seems that it stems from the needs and demands of men. It has been going on for years. Why?

I thought this book was excellent.
it was so sad , and to think that this is still happening in the world today.
I just cannot believe what human beings can do.
It is horrifying - and i think it made an impact on me , because i have a daughter.
I just get the chills for what Sophie went through, but i also feel sick imagining what the mother went through.
Sophie Hayes - stay strong , and you will heal , and i hope the courage of writing this book can help someone else.

Cant understand how many girls can get so brainwashed by these animals without drugs being a factor. Unbelievable story. I cannot understand why she didn't persecute him to the fullest extent. He never loved her. Why was that hard to see? I am sad this happened to Sophie and am glad she is trying to help raise awareness.
