I loved this book. There are several plot twists throughout the book. Riley seems like such a relatable character and since she is the main character, it feels like her perception of the situation is accurate throughout the book. We learn that it is not, and her perception of reality is greatly skewed.

I usually don't write negative book reviews, but because I've learned the hard way that often the bad reviews are more instructive than the glowing 5-star ones, I'm going to write this one in case it saves anyone else from wasting their time. I honestly don't know how to explain the great reviews this book has received - I could speculate but I won't. I was distracted by the present progressive tense of the narration; it was off-putting. And the story itself? The title of my review describes my opinion of it. Actually, by the end it had skedaddled beyond ridiculous to caricature. I am more than willing suspend my disbelief for a well written book or screenplay, but this book asked me to totally suspend my intellect.

TrueReader here to let you in on a little secret. This book is a page turner. The one thing I have to have in a book is a captivating brief summary and an amazing first chapter. It has to catch my attention at the beginning, then it has to submerge me, as if I'm the character in the book, third, it has to keep me guessing, fourth, I don't want to be right when I get to the end, and last it has to make me regret trying to put it down. This book did it all. From the beginning to the end. Amazing, absolutely amazing. Anyone who loves Psychological thrillers, or jut finding those rare reads that are good, should pick this up, find a quite spot and dive in.

OMG! This has been my first Andrew E. Kaufman story, but definitely NOT the last! What She Doesn't Know is so much more than a "page turner". I was kept awake, needing to know how and what the characters were doing. The kicker for me was, normally I can figure out an ending, plot, etc. I knew nothing!!! Even the last page caught me!! Loved it!!! On to My next of his books. ❤❤

A masterful work of psychological suspense. Parts of this book truly creeped me out and I even "tossed" it down and walked away a few times. But it's so well woven together and full of twists that ramp up one after the other, that it's hard to put down for long.

Wow! I was hooked from the first chapter I forgot how much I loved audio books. The story was a great physiological thriller with twists and turns. It always kept me on my toes and wanting to keep listening I hated when I had to stop. Great story and lovely reader. This book had great character development and made you feel like you knew them!

Andrew E. Kaufman has written another body clenching, spine tingling, mind bending, psychological thriller that will leave the reader questioning every twist and turn after every page. Mind blowing! You’ll never see the ending coming.(ARC)

Quite a it of character development, one really gets under the skin of each one.
Hard to know whom to like, but you definitely don't trust Samantha right from the get go.
I was disappointed at Erin's lack of support for her sister.

The books ending left many questions unanswered, but the way it is written, I was left unable to determine if it was deliberate or just not fleshed or flushed out. Furthermore, the majority of the book seems implausible; especially, when the main character is under surveillance.

Once again, Andrew has blown me away! This is one of his best books yet! In a nutshell (pun intended) this book threw out many twists and turns but it was very easy to follow along. The characters are all so realistic and relatable. The way he describes every detail of every scene right down to carpet fibers is quite amazing. It makes you feel as if you are right there part of the scene. Great job Andrew! I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a fast paced, mind boggling, psychological thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

This has an interesting concept with a potentially sympathetic character in Riley but for me, at least, it would have benefited from a strong final edit to pull some things apart and others together. It's a fast read (short chapters) but I didn't find it as compelling as I'd hoped. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

I was excited to have the opportunity to obtain an Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this book from NetGalley.
Riley can’t remember the details of the tragedy that resulted in her breakdown and commitment. All she knows is that her life will never be the same again. Society believes she’s responsible and reporters hound her. She believes that even her sister harbors doubts about Riley’s involvement. After her release, Riley, armed only with her moxie and the mantra “Get out. Stay strong. Trust your truth.” tries to start a new life. The deck is stacked against her. No one wants to hire her. She becomes the victim of vandalism. Her new apartment, located in a sketchy part of town, feels unsafe.
Things look up once she spies her enigmatic neighbor Samantha Light, but soon Riley’s obsession with the woman and her charmed life threaten to drag her back into the darkness.
Riley’s character intrigued me, especially her friendship with Wendy, another neighbor. The cast was heavy with female characters, with only one memorable male character, Randall, an attendee at an art gallery opening. While I enjoyed the book, at times I had difficulties in suspending my disbelief to buy into some for the events of the story and in the ending. The author did a good job of parceling out information to create a suspenseful read.
Fans of stories with unreliable narrators and readers who like to be kept guessing should enjoy WHAT SHE DOESN’T KNOW.
