This was a novella that attaches to the Elect series. It can be a stand alone but why would you pass up reading the others. Ax and Amy's story is so sweet. Can sweet describe anything related to the mafia? Yes it can. This series has plenty of action and romance

This book was such a disappointment from an author I love. It was so riddled with errors that I was too distracted from the contend and quit half way through. Don't we have editors for these purposes?!

I found this really disappointing. Had I known it was a novella and part of a series I would not have read the book. I found there was not enough charter development and was left with too many questions about what was happening. I don't think I will even read any of the books from the beginning because I am afraid there will be just as much disappointment.

The main character was getting his PhD and was in his early 20s??? Second of all the book was written in approximately 5th grade English.

Sorry was unedited didn't flee was rushed and seemed juvenile especially for a mob story.I don't think this was an American author because she referred to the mafia and American mafia constantly. Seriously anyone who has watched a Scorsese film knows that the mafia is not a place for great boys.

On a side note what is up with the no sex until the end...AND the changing of Campisi's name to Tex all of a sudden?

Totally stupid story.

To say I love this series would be an understatement; it is more like an obsession. It is as if I know these characters personally, so I was a little nervous when Rachel announced she was going to introduce a new couple into the series. I should have learned a long time ago to never doubt Rachel Van Dyken, like always she delivers a hit! Bang Bang ends directly after Elicit and features Ax and Amy. Ax is a cousin to Nixon and brother to Sergio and has not been in any of the previous books.

There is nonstop action from the first chapter, as is always the case with the series. Someone’s life is always in danger and alliances are always shifting. The dual POVs are perfect because these two complex characters often hide their true emotions from others. Although they are not overly involved, it was nice to see other family members. You can not have EE without all the banter and snarkiness of Nixon, Chase, and Tex. My only complaint is I wish the book were longer. I wanted to read more of Ax and Amy’s full story. However, sadly it was only meant to be a novella.

While it can be read as a Standalone book, I recommend that you start from the beginning with Elite. This series is phenomenal and you are missing out if have not read it! If you just have to start here, you will get the entire back story and will love Ax.

I loved this book, I enjoyed meeting new characters I did not even know existed. Ax is super hot and super sweet and Amy is such a strong woman, she has been through so much. I love Ax and her together, their banter, their friendship, and their love for each other. I cannot believe Sergio has a brother, I am so curious about Sergio, he has so many secrets. I loved when the only things she kept from her old life was a stuffed animal and a picture. She said about the stuffed animal "It slept with me every night, protected me from monsters, and never complained once." The ending is perfect, I was crying when Ax says "Love you more than words can ever truly describe". All of the same wonderful characters are in this story too and some of the parts involving them made me laugh so much. This was a great story.

For some reason I haven’t read Bang Bang before and I now that I have I must say I liked it. It’s a sweet short story that contains the badass mafia action. I also liked to see more of Bee and Phoenix. I really makes you want to read more about their story.
So what is this book about
This story is a side story in the Eagle Elite series It can be read as a standalone but I don’t recommend it. I recommend you reading it after elicit or it might spoil some things for you. This story is about Axton aka ax and Amy. Ax is the younger brother of Sergio and therefore the cousin of Nixon. Amy is a de lange and she’s Phoenix cousin.
Amy and Ax are best friends. Ax is the person Amy goes to after her father hits her again or when he and her mother are fighting. In the beginning of the books things go horrible wrong and amy and ax are separated. Amy’s mother is dead, her father gone MIA and she believes Ax is dead. Amy is put in foster care and they don’t treat her much better than her father did. Five years after the event Ax comes out of hiding, like Sergio and starts working for the family again. He doesn’t want to be he gets an offer he can’t refuse, amy. Since amy left Chicago after she graduated he lost track of her.
This book wouldn’t be a mafia book if there weren’t some shooting, killing, plotting and weddings involved.

What did I like about this story

I liked that it gave us some insight in sergio’s family and it was a nice set up for Phoenix’s story. I liked how ax was willing to do anything for Amy and how Amy was devoted to Ax. I’m glad to see they got there happy ending. And I can’t wait to read Phoenix’s story.

I love this series, although sometimes I feel like I need a flow chart to help keep track of everyone. This novella introduced us to a new couple, Ax and Amy. My heart broke for both of them over what happened when they were younger. I can't imagine being in either of their shoes and feeling that pain. Ax's love for Amy and her feelings of abandonment toward him were both so palpable. I truly believe in their love and connection with one another. Ax would have done anything for her. As always I absolutely loved it when all the couples are together in the same place. The bantering, the threats, the camaraderie...I can't get enough. My favorite part of this series is the fact that even though these characters are Mafia and mean serious business, they are also one big family who will go to any means necessary to protect their own. I enjoyed Ax and Amy's story, and I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series!

Dang, why does the Mafia seem so appealing. I love a sexy, alpha male mobster and boy Ax fit the profile. Right along with all those new guys taking over the families. Amy and Ax lived next door to each other growing up. Both from crime families but Ax was keeping a secret from Amy. A horrible situation happened separating Ax from Amy for five long lonesome years. Life wasn't easy for Amy. Ax comes to claim what's his, but he's doing it for both himself and his family. Will Amy do what's right for the family is the big question. Will Ax and Amy's love conquer what stands in the way. Read and you shall find out. I loved this book. And am happy to find out this is part of the Elite series. I have lots of happy reading to catch up on.

I Flove, Flove, FLOVE this series! I say it with each review I leave. Rachel Van Dyken, seriously rocks my mafia-wanna-be world!

Meet Ax. He was mentioned in the previous Eagle Elite novel, but you finally get to truly meet him. He's softer, yet still so mafia bad-ass. Ax is Sergio's little brother who you've met in the previous books. Amy was the girl next day, a De Lange, and Ax's best friend. Until two shots took that all away from them. Amy spent five years mourning the lost of her one true love and best friend. Until one night, in a strip club, Ax returns.

You can't deny the chemistry between Ax and Amy. You want them to finally get their happily ever after after all they've been through. But, it's the mafia and nothing is easy. Throw in battling families and all of your favorite mafia men and their wives, and you have a great novella!!

I can't wait for Sergio's book. Heck, I can't wait for Pheonix's book. I can't wait for more Eagle Elite! Bring it, Rachel!

Bang Bang has been written to allow readers the chance to jump into the existing Eagle Elite series without reading the previous books. Bang Bang introduces the new characters of Ax and Amy so you certainly can read this as a stand alone. However, I would still highly recommend that you read the first four books in this great series first: Elite, Elect, Entice & Elicit.

Ax & Amy's story is an emotional one. Best friends all their lives they are pulled apart from each other with their lives taking them both in different directions. Rachel has the ability to write multi faceted characters that enable you to seemlessy connect with them. Ax and Amy were no different. Ax certainly had many of the traits we have come to expect from an Eagle Elite man, however, while Amy is clearly a strong woman given all she has been through, she felt much softer than the previous ladies we've seen in the series. Ax and Amy certainly felt fresh and new and added a new dimension to the Eagle Elite cast.

If like me, you're a super fan of this series, then don't worry, we get snippets from all the gang so you'll certainly get your fix. Tex really is trying his hardest to pull my loyalty away from Nixon.

One of the things I love about this series is that with each book you get a little something of everything - romance, humour, action and suspense. Bang Bang delivered on all points and I devoured it one sitting.

I really enjoyed this instalment of the Eagle Elite series and cannot wait for the next chapter!!

I would highly recommend this series.

Bang Bang was really well written. I found I connected really well Ax and Amy but DAMN, I needed more! I was totally sucked into the whole Mafia vortex and was totally and completely engaged then it ran out of story.

Yes this is a great little read, but Rachel needs to limber up her fingers and bring us more on these two! This story had/has so much more to offer!

Loved this novella!!! Amy & Ax are such a lasting couple. they endured heartache early on, but he becomes her saving grace. You get to see Nixon, Chase, Tex and the gang!! A great standalone for those who have not read the series!!!

Rachel Van Dyken did it again. Another very well written account in the life of the mob family. I could not put this book down reading about how Ax and Amy got back together. Although this is a definitely a stand alone series if you have not read the other books in the elite series you are missing how. Small but very powerful. Bravo!!!!!

This book was an incredible addition to a sensational series!!! Rachel certainly has a knack for writing intense characters and when you read something she writes, you feel a part of the story. Cannot wait to read more from the Eagle Elite series.
