Desperate Fire (Angel in the Whirlwind Book 4)

Overcoming adversity seems part and parcel of our heroine. This young writer is getting better and better as well. This tale was about as good as it gets. Detailed enough yet moving along at a rapid pace with just the right mix of politics and action. I should really read this stuff in order.

Waring with fanatics is costly. Kat and the fleet Marines
are sickened by the atrocities. Moving forward to strike at the core
of the sickness is the only answer. Great action, personalities coming through
clearly.

Continuing saga of Kat Falcone. This was near perfect until the end. I'm talking last chapter and the King. Very off putting. Nonetheless, an otherwise very good story with some surprises that really hit the heart.

excellent series. Nuttall's writing and characters have improved over the years. The only real negative (spoiler alert) is that the question of who appointed Morrison and did several other things is kind of obvious, even if not answered in the series.
