This was my first Lalla Bains novel. I found the writing a little awkward and the plot was disjointed at times. It was an okay read but I can't say I am thirsting to read another Lalla Bains novel after reading this one.

I really liked A Dead Red Heart! The storyline keeps your interest so you want to read forever! Each character is flawed in some way...they are either too smart or too beautiful. Love the action between each character.

This book was ok, but a little misleading with the summary that was posted. It took about 3/4 of the book to find out there was something about a heart intended for one person but given to another. I thought for a while that the synopsis was wrong.

Good story with a different venue. Crop dusting, policeman as boyfriend. Inquisitive newspaper guy and various other interesting folks stroll thru the pages. Nice love interest as relief to murder
Mystery. Go girl, go.

This was a delightful mystery! I loved each and every minute of reading. The relationship between Lalla and Caleb is full of funny and touching moments, the plot just keeps getting more interesting the more you read. I have to check to see if there's another one soon.

Not a bad mystery. Lots of typos and double words. Needs editing to bring it up to snuff. if you like women who chase down a guy, then toss him up in the air, then chase him down again, only to peat and repeat, this one is for you.

I liked Lalla and her style. She keeps digging and manages to get into trouble and is lucky enough to squeak out of danger at the last minute. The supporting characters add humor to the story and balance to her character. After reading this I read the others in this series.

Overall a good read. I wanted to see the heroine. Beautiful and too good to be true. Wonder if she would go out to dinner with me? A decent page turner and good description of the characters in the book.

I liked every thing about the book, but she needs to research the flying part. I don't know all that much about crop dusting, but flying is still flying. Overall a very good book. I hav also read another one of the series after this one

It is unusual to find a grandmother involved in solving a murder, however, in this case it is funny and exciting to see the protagonists involved stumble their way through their lives in a small town.
