Mythology is another addition to the Ologies series of books. This book has been written from the perspective of a historian, with comments of a man searching for artifacts. Mythology is a great read as an introduction into Greek mythology. The stories are exciting and to the point without needing to dig through an entire Epic story. This book is great for kids or adults hoping for a little inspiration into the Greek myths of the past. If you are already an Ology fan, it's a great book to add to the collection.

These are the absolute best books! The entire Ology series are worth their weight in GOLD! They are interesting to search through randomly or to sit and read the entire book. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for adults and children alike! We give these for every classmate birthday we are invited to, it's great when you don't "know" what the child is currently into!

This book is about greek mythology, it's filled with pockets and fold out stories on almost every page.
You'll learn new things on each page you read! On the sides of the pages there is a story about a greedy
treasure hunter. The book is big and easy to read with very nice illustrations. I've read the whole series and
I would place this one in the middle. It isn't as good as the dragon and wizardology books, but it's better
than the egypt and pirateology.

I really like Greek mythology and have read some books on it,so for anyone who is thinking of buying the book Mythology,I recommend also buying books in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series,by Rick Riordan. They are about a boy who discovers his father is a Greek god and the adventures he has. As for Mythology, I think it is a great source for information on the ancient Greeks, and highly recommend it.

Weaving together epic myths and legends with a journal of a man whose life parallels King Midas', this book is the perfect introduction to Greek mythology. Each page is beautifully illustrated, with pockets and flaps revealing surprises that add an entirely different dimension to the reading experience. Each story is told like it really happened, something that you may want to discuss with children with overly active imaginations.
All in all, this is an excellent book for children and adults who are excited about learning Greek mythology.

These are her thoughts about the book. She enjoyed the unusual construction of the book, including its little pockets and prizes and other surprises scattered throughout. The "pop up" features were especially entertaining. The colorful pictures were nice, especially those of the Greek gods. There is also a card game included (along with an instruction book) that she enjoys playing.Mythology (Ologies)

Okay, so the book is not as comprehensive as Edith Hamilton, but it is such a beautiful book. Plus, it is a fun way to introduce your kids to mythology, and not just Greek mythology. Would highly recommend this book to mythology lovers. We just love the ology books.

My daughter received this book as a gift and loved it. Although it gives shortened versions of different greek myths, it is a great book to get children interested in them. The pop up Pandora's Box was a big hit with my four year old and she loved all the different objects that she could interact with. The storyline in the margins made for a great bedtime story and she was excited to see how the book started to turn to gold after he was given the gift of King Midas.

My 10 yr old daughter loves Greek & Roman Mythology and got this book for Christmas. She loves it! The book has lots of little notes and other artifacts to look through. The book takes you through a 1st person narrative story based on King Midas.

This book is incredible. It was required for my Mythology class in college and it is by far the most enjoyable book I have ever purchased for a class. My kids love looking at it and having it read to them. Just a fun fun book. It is also very informative.

I was thrilled when the newest Ology hit the shelves, and even more pleased once I owned it. Lady Hestia Evans's book is beautifully made as well as written. Like all the Ology books there are presents within the pages. The golden pen was my favorite part, and I was amazed to find it; Ihad been trying to make one myself unsuccessfully for several weeks before.

I bought this for my daughter who loves mythology. It was disappointing, mostly because there was only one page of female mythology figures....There are more complete and inclusive books on mythology out there, save your money for those if you value more equitable gender representation.
