Strange and damaged characters that continued to surprise me until the final page. Smart description and good character development from the first page that fed the story till the end. I'm sure you will enjoy!

I could not finish the book. It was painfully slow, and pretty much unbelievable.
I ended up reading about a quarter of it. Couldn't take it any more, and went to the last
2 pages. It didn't seem like I missed much with the ending

Loved this book. Have always found mystery books written by English authors to be fascinating. Whether it is the settings or the particular slang, just enjoy a good English author. I read this book in 2 days, only stopping to sleep. Loved it. Will definitely look at work more by this author.

Interesting suspense story with some surprises. 2 main characters are very believable. Written by a British author, so sensibilities and language is a little different. Easy but engaging read. The more that I read, the more I liked it.

Love Kristin's first novel. Besides it being partially set in my home area, it pulls the reader in to the struggles of today. Urban versus Rural, use vs re-use. Sometimes we change in reaction to our upbringing only to return to our roots. Kristin developed thoughtful characters with real lives that end up weaving together. Cheers!

It's amazing that Cass Green can write novels with virtually no likable characters, and yet they are still compelling reads. Do we identify with their failures and darkness? Scary thought. I might have to swear off reading more of her work for a while.

Most books I've read where the author is English, it just moves slower than others. Does not keep my attention and was boring, even though there was a twist, which I figured out before the end. I like mysteries, but this was just weird and slow.

This book was more psychological than action. The description of the book was better than the book. There wasn't enough action against for me. The main character Hester was diabolical and mean and very twisted. If I had it to do over I would have read something else.
