The World of Eric Carle(TM) The Very Hungry Caterpillar(TM) Lacing Cards

Sturdy, thick chipboard cards. Easy for my 3 year old to handle, yet sturdy enough I don't worry (too much - he is only 3!) about him damaging the cards. Colorful cards and laces. He likes to match the lace color with the picture color on the card. No reservations about recommending this. Makes a good backseat activity on road trips.

With all the latest gadgets and technology available to kids, I wasn't sure how much of a hit these would be. But since we have always loved the very hungry caterpillar I decided to give them a try. I was very pleasantly surprised. My three year old granddaughter played with these for hours. They are made of sturdy cardboard and are bright and cheery providing an opportunity for hand/eye coordination. "Sewing cards" (as we called them 60+ years ago) are still a hit with kids!! Great purchase!

I love evertyhing about Eric Carle! I decided to buy this lacing box for my godson and he loves it so much! However, I was disappointed with the box, I was expecting it to have lime a wooden/plastic box with lid but it only came with plastic lid and very thin box.

A great toy for little hands during church (except for when they decide to stop using them as lacing cards and instead pretend to be fishing). Sturdy, nice colors; gave to a 3 yr old boy along with a board book version of "The Hungry Caterpillar", and he was pleased.

Cute toy! Provides hours of quiet entertainment for my toddler (age 2.5). The downside is the picture part of 1 card is peeling off already after only a few weeks of use; wish they were better quality.

This set is adorable. The quality is very high and the cards are beautiful. Kids love seeing the familiar objects from the book.

The packaging stinks. It is just a flimsy cardboard box with a flimsy plastic sleeve. We bought a tupperware to store these in, as there was no way it would work for the kids. I'm not really sure how the packagin compares to other toys, as we rarely buy new ones.
