I enjoyed this book a lot, it was assigned reading for the company that I work for and I got it on Audio Cd because I drive a lot. Exposed me to a lot ideas that I had not thought about before and challenged me to ask more questions even if they may seem dumb.

A good book, especially for consultants new and grizzled. It was also entertaining at times, thinking about parallels I've seen in my consulting career. I think the hype around it led me to read it, but it didn't quite rise to 5 stars in my book. But a solid 4 stars for sure.

In a nutshell, it tears our common assumptions on business relationships apart, specially when it comes down to consulting practices and postures. It's an easy-going and digestible fable that light our way into a mindful approach for getting really exposed, vulnerable and open in treating our deepest "fears".

The fable/story is interesting and easy-to-read, but Lencioni doesn't do as good a job clearly drawing out all of the messages during the plot in this book as he did in Five Dysfunctions. Back appendix is a helpful read. I'd recommend reading the back appendix first for the messages and then reading the story/fable for ideas on application/implementation.

This book helps bring a fresh authenticity to the business world! It will foster a new desire to "be real" and remind you that it's best practice to care for others like you want to be cared for. I would highly recommend reading this book as it will help improve your business success!

Although I had some interruptions while reading this book, total reading time was about 3 hours because I just couldn't put it down. It reads like a novel but has some powerful business lessons.

The author is a management consultant but the lessons can be applied to any service industry, including internal corporate service.

The book also reminded me why I was very successful as a programmer consultant.

Lencioni is a master story teller. You feel like you are reading a novel and the material is so powerful, real, authentic and useful. He captures where leadership needs to go and how we will make our organizations a better place to work and be more successful. We are using the material in our senior leadership training and it's catching fire. Well done!

While we get funny looks and snickers when we refer to the book title, everyone at our office whose read it is now hooked. This was recommended to me by my mentor ... and its now required reading for all! The story is a bit drawn out and but the point is worth it.

Everything you need to know about being a good professional and an even better person. Wouldn't corporate America be a better, fun, civil world if we all conducted ourselves as outlined in this story?
Thanks for the inspiration...
