My son is a beginner (just started this past summer) but learns very quickly. He wanted to learn to play songs like Fur Elise and others but I didn't want him having versions that were too easy because I feel that you won't get better if you're not challenged. This book is a little bit more advanced than where he's at but he's enjoying at least learning the right hand. It'll be a great book for him to grow into and play out of for a couple of years. He's already improving significantly! I used to play, and teach, and I'm also enjoying just sitting down and playing. This is a great book, just don't expect beginner beginner music.

Easy to use and great for beginners, I bought this to see if I wanted to play and I decided to find a teacher (critical) to insure proper learning. If you are serious, this is good to play around with but thats it .. you need a live in your face teacher if you plan on really learning to play and play well. If you start developing bad habits around fingering and proper timing your in for serious trouble trying to undo this mess. Most good teachers cringe when you say you have been teaching yourself.
