Love Finds You: The Helena's Grove Series Book 1

I found "Love Finds You" book one hard to get into. The dialogue seemed a bit stilted and I could not connect with the heroine, Jen. I found it hard to identify with her since her lifestyle was so different from mine. If she hadn't been so stuck-up when dealing with "country folk" I may have found it easier. Still, I was soon connected with Aunt Gabby, Annie and Zach and their characters and interactions kept me reading. The plot seemed to improve as the book progressed but perhaps that's because Jen started to change her behavior and I began to like her more.

As several reviewers have said previously, this is a clean romance with no graphic sex and very little swearing and I very much appreciate that! It does contain a bunch of misused words and some spelling errors but that seems to be typical of ebook romances. I would recommend this book to anyone and I'd like to read more stories from Ivy Alexander.

Very sweet! Zach is the perfect guy to match wits with Jennifer! I was like: "Jennifer! Stop fussing about your high heels! Theres a handsome guy right beside you!" This was really good and I appreciate that Alexander wrote clean. A touch of western and romance. I loved it!

Self centered New Yorker finds life in a small town is quite different from her accustomed practice of dress, attitude, pastime pursuits. High fashion is lost here and her wardrobe is terribly limited for the summer activities and weather. Several surprises throw her for a loop as she tries to accomodate her father and his aunt. I would love to tell the author that not all rural people wear plaid as she seems fixated on this color choice. Otherwise you will like and enjoy the characters as they sort out the details.

Jennifer's father tricks into going to see her Aunt Gabby in Ohio, by telling her that her aunt had cancer and wanted to see Jen before she died. Zach and his sister, Annie, have been adopted by Aunt Gabby when their mother died. When Jen finds out the real reason her father wanted her to go to Ohio, she starts to feel like a fraud. Will she come clean to Zach and her aunt? Will she find happiness? Excellent reading dealing with family, love, and greed. Jo-Ann Doyle

Ivy Alexander has written a sweet romance that shows that not all families are perfect. She also touches on the part of uncertainty that we all feel from time to time. It was an easy and quick read, just right for a couple hours of distraction. Ivy uncovers layer by layer both main characters flaws and strengthens. In the end, as we all are cheering for, love does indeed find you.

There is always a way that love happens to find you when you least expect it too. I loved the push and pull between the characters. I'm from Ohio so this story puts a smile on my face. Great wholesome and heartwarming story. Highly recommended.

I liked the story Very much but did not like the curse words. I usually read inspirational fiction and while this story was fairly clean for the most part, I saw where they move in together in the next story in the series. Will not read more by this author for those reasons.
