I read several snippets from other books on procrastination and they all seemed to say that it's my fault that I procrastinate, which it is, but they did not really tell ways that l could fix the problem. The author has put a lot time into researching this subject and has compiled a very doable plan to alleviate procrastination. The best part is that he reiterates several times that this is a slow progress and to keep your eyes on the prize and to take baby steps. I've already picked the habit I want to work on, so I'm off to go work on it.

I read Wake up successful and was instantly a fan of SJ Scott. His content is very informative and easy to understand. In this age of Information overload, here is a book that is concise and to the point and can be read in a few minutes. The ideas are good and am planning to use this as a bible to get over procrastination. This book will be a constant reminder for me to take action.
Thanks Scott. I like your website too. Thanks again. Happy New Year and the store you rock. :)

Once I got more than a dozen websites and writing projects going I found my self awash in things to do. I thought I could manage it all. Well, Now I can with Steve's help. All stuff and no fluff. After reading this book, then taking a deep breath, I plunged in and in a short amount of time became a lot more organized than I had before. I feel less stressed and now more productive.

I have to give props for an endeavor... love people in this space trying to help out. Wish I could say this had an impact.. Sadly, no so. But... I did find what helped somewhat with procrastination for me after decades of suffering and researching.. a tedx talk by Archana Murthy, an astute high schooler. Even better, a tedx talk by How to gain control of your free time by Laura Vanderkam. If you watch those and can relate, it may help you, too. Also, fish oil from Nordic Naturals and vit B complex were assistance.

I have read many many productivity books... so has the author. If you are looking for innovation or something new or original this is not for you. This is basically a collection of other people's work and almost every page is a plug for an app, another book the author has written or shoutout to another person who writes about productivity (much of the self help and productivity scene is a multi level marketing scheme). Read the originals like 7 Habits, Getting Thing Done, How To Win Friends, check out the Pomodoro method and throw in a Think and Grow Rich... now get to work! These are all you will ever need. Avoid all "new" productivity books and start to use the methods you already know (this is as much directed to you as to me! :) Learn from my experience and stand up to the MLM scheme lol. Good luck all and use your own heart and will to stay motivated.

Anything that Steve writes is down-to-earth--simplified, practical, doable. In this book he helps a person to start small, so as not to be discouraged, and then to scale up as in starting to write first for five minutes a day and then gradually building up to 30 minutes. I'd recommend it for anyone who feels that they just can't get anything done even though they've been working all day.

I was stuck with all the information I collected about my writing projects.
I found many reasons why that is the case in Steve's book and I was able to correct them.
Steve's books have been a great source of advice. for my moderate writing success.
Even not every single advice applies to everybody, but the hints given in his books leave enough room for individual interpretation to get out of the deep of procrastination.
Since Sunday, I am back writing again my 10000 words a day.
If this review does not show as a verified purchase it might be because I bought it from the store in Germany.

Thanks again Steve for a great advice.

Some help finally!!! I have a huge problem with procrastination. What I like about this book is that it offfered very valuable tips. While reviewing the tips or techniques I was able to understand why I was successful in some areas and not as successful as I would like to be in other areas. I am excited to implement these techniques at a much more robust level than I have in the past. I feel motivated and inspired to begin my journey in 2017. I feel that I will be very successful!!!

Steve Scott is one of my favorite authors. I love when a person can take tools and knowledge and share them without injecting filler. It's also great to know how to sort the information into what is important and what is secondary. His recaps at the end of each chapter are great for distilling the info and prompting you to do the next step.

I choosed this book because i've read another book from this writer and his books are very to the point and give actionable advise, step by step. So this book can also be used later on as a referance book for specific advise.

I recommend this book to all procrastinators out there (like me). The book is written in a way very easy to digest and it gives you lot of references to other popular books and systems.

Don't procrastinate on this book. Just grab it, read it....and take actions NOW!

Found this material to be most helpful in overcoming my "stuck" mode. It's not long as books go cause it's not full of empty words. It's PACKED with usable info that is easy to grasp and apply. If I can do it anyone can ~!~

I liked that this guide contained several habit methods, liken Getting Things Done or 43 folders, into a single system. I believe anything could be incorporated into daily or weekly habits with this guide.
