The Reluctant Dom (Siren Publishing Menage and More)

This is hands down the BEST, most emotional erotic / romance / bdsm book I've ever read. This book is emotionally gut wrenching, even after my third read. I'm not going to go into the book description, because the the store description is fairly accurate, however, keep in mind that it is so much more and greater than that description. All I have to say is, BUY IT, because it will be the BEST money you've ever spent on a novel. Caution: Read with tissues handy, because you will definitely finish your box of tissues.

Like many other reviewers have said, you will need kleenex for this one. This is my first book by Ms. Dalton and I am a fan.

I LOVED this story. With or without the BDSM aspect, the story of the love between Kaden and Leah touched me so profoundly that as I think of it, I tear up. Adding the to allure, the bond between Kaden and Seth is a testament to true friendship. The relationship of Seth and Leah gave me hope that love can truly conquer all.

Wow! Warning this is a year jerker. Dealing with someone who is sick and he effort they took to make sure those he loved were taken care of. The love between friends and the love between spouses is so deep and involved. Has some major kink, but the story is sooooo much more than than.

This was a well written beautiful emotional story. It actually made cry and I am not a cryer! I felt both happy and sad. I was a little skeptical about this book at first but I decided keep an open mind. I was totally blown away. Talk about paying attention to details! The characters were very well developed. The story flowed so well. I was hooked from the beginning.

Kaden's love for his wife and his best friend Seth was unbelievable. Kaden made sure his last wishes were fulfilled before he passed away in such great detail that it left me speechless. A touching story that had me laughing and crying. I have a new perspective on the BDSM lifestyle.

I had never read anything written by this author before this book. I have to say that this story was so well written. I didn't feel like the story was rushed at all. I found myself crying as I read it because it is not your typical love story. It definitely pulls at your heart strings. Get some tissues before you start because trust me you will need them. I would highly recommend reading this book!

Emotional roller coasterI LOVED this book. It was the first I read by Tymber Dalton, and I was hooked. I was truly in this book. I felt every thing happening. And I cried. Bawled. Need a box of tissues kind of crying. And I loved every second of it. I would definitely recommend this book!

Kaden and Leah have been married 20 years. Leah is also his slave, because she needs the emotional release she gets from a d/s lifestyle without which she would resort to hurting herself. When Kaden learns he is dying he knows he needs to set Leah up with a new Master. He chooses his best friend Seth, knowing Leah has always loved both of them. The transformation the three of them go through is so sad, sweet, heart-breakingly painful. I don't think I've ever cried so much over a novel, especially a bdsm one!

This was definitely a different story then other books. I cried on and off the whole entire time between happy and sad tears. The characters were believable and the plot very intriguing. Loved this book definitely suggest people read just be ready to ball your eyes out.

Realistic Master/Slave family and a good story. Good sex, and a nice twist at the end. I recommend this book....
Having worked with 'deliberate self-harm cutters" before, I must say that it seems a good solution to them!
Master/ slave isn't for everyone but when it works it really works.

This book was amazing... Tymber Dalton rocks! when i got this book on my kindle i was a little reluctant. Once I started to read it I could not put it down. The characters Kaden, Seth, Leah OMG...I laughed, I cried,I cheered..I mean the story was so heartfelt, so emotional and soooo good. I would highly reccommend this book to anyone who wants to know what the true love of friendship is. I didn't want it to end, though it had too. To anyone that reads this review I promise you will not be disappointed..this should be high in the sellers list :D

After one reading, this became one of my all-time favorite books! I have read it more than once, which is unusual for me. I ugly cried, which is also very unusual for me. I was shocked by how much emotion this story pulled from me, but then as I read more books by Tymber, I realized that's the way she writes. I have not yet read a book by her that I did not enjoy and become invested in emotionally. Highly recommended!

The Reluctant Dom was a truly incredible book. I didn't know what to expect but it really was the story of unconditional love and friendship. There are very sexy scenes and heartbreaking ones as well. It had a beautiful ending and I would not hesitate to recommend to everyone wanting a well written story that you will not soon forget.

WOW! This is one of those books where the characters and their story will stay with you! This book was beyond what I expected. It made me bawl like a darn baby but it was such an emotional journey in such a good way that i would read it again and again just to experience kaden, leah and seths story again. Just WOW is all i can say and give it a shot!

the writing style in the beginning of the book was not as good as i had expected from all the great reviews but the emotions and the overall sensuality,heat,and the tension are just awesome. i liked the hero Seth a lot. the polt is very nice,particularly the ending.this is a very sexy,hot book. it makes me seriously consider venturing into more books like this one.

This was a wonderful story to read, the characters are well developed, and the storyline was well thought of. I don't think I have ever cried so much while reading anything in my life. This book really works your emotions.

This gives meaning to the term Best Friends Forever (BFF) and my new go-to book when I need to have a good cry! This is probably the only book I've read that I sobbed through the whole time. Two lifelong friends, Kaden and Seth, one dying and the other willing to do anything to make his time left easier, work together so Kaden's wife, Leah, will be protected after he dies. I know Leah is weak but it's not the point of the story. In today's mobile society not many people are fortunate enough to know someone for 40 years let alone maintain the friendship. I thought this would just be another bdsm book with lots of sex and lifestyle games, but this has so much more.

Please have tissues handy to read this book omg I cried so much in this book it was so emoitional ... You will laugh and cry in this book i loved kade he was so wonderful Seth was. This really is a great read! The story was really well written and the charectors were great. The story really had a lot of emotion in it and I actually cought myself crying a few times. Don't get me wrong, there is kink and hot sex, but there is also a great love story in it as well. I would give it more stars if I could.

I really enjoyed this book! The characters were interesting and easy to get to know. Lots of depth. I also enjoyed the storyline. Even though it wasn't a complete happy ending, there was happiness to be had.

If your looking for a slutmance to read, this isn't it. This is full force romance. Yes, it involves m/f/m action and BDSM but this is a lusty love story. It made me feel the depth of each character and their relationships with each other. It is well written and beautiful. It made me cry.

After reading this book I wanted more from this author. After 4 books more, this is the best one still because it has taken me farther than just a read, it has imprinted in me.
The story from "The reluctant Dom" is one of the best stories I have read so far on the BDSM genre on the emotional side. I really loved it, enjoyed it and cried with it.
I honestly can say, this is a great story about love, unconventional and unconditional love.

This book will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat. It's erotic, sad, funny, and great warming all in one. The relationship between the characters is so strong and you become so tied into their emotions. The ending is very good and doesn't leave you hanging. You know that everything is going to be fine.

From start to finish you are completely captivated with the story and the emotions of the characters. I have recommended it to countless people. And I will keep on doing so. It's not just a BDSM or erotic book it's more of a love story. The beautifully written love story of 3 people.

I fell in love with this beautiful love story. I loved the true friendship between the guys. I cried after Kaden's death and hurt for Leah. It was wonderful to see his true best friend step up and honored his wish and loved Leah. Very good read.

The Reluctant Dom...This book should be read with at least one if not two or more Kleenex boxes. Of all of the books I've read in my life, this is one of only two that I will re-read many times just for the sheer emotional impact. Tymber Dalton portrays the characters so realistically, they jump off the pages. This book is everything you could every want in a book. And without giving it away, the manner in which the ending was written...truly a stroke of genius. 5 stars are not enough. Truly, The Reluctant Dom was magnificiently written.

Beautiful story. I loved it. I laughed and I cried my eyes out. I never would have imagined the emotions I experienced from bdsm/erotica but the story was amazing. Yes there was the sex that you would expect from this genre but there was also an amazing story of friendship, love, life and death.I've definitely found a new author to look into. Definitely recommend this book to anyone into erotica and even anyone just into romance novels. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could.

What an incredible storyline. Not only did it give a peek into the BDSM lifestyle, but it left the reader with a connection to the characters. I laughed, I cried and then I went back for more. Fantastic book.

In this story it touched on something that I think tends to be a little lacking in most contemporary romances. Not just because it is lifestyle oriented, it is even rarer for a lifestyle oriented book. The fact that it touched on such a deep level that I wish more writers would go so far. I know that most people want things to be easier but this one displays that life and love is not easy and we can only go forward with what is in store for us. It it well worth the read. We should all be loved as well as these characters loved each other.

Thought about getting this book for a few months and caved. It took a bit to get into fully, but it was a good story and brought tears at the right times. The love of a woman & for you best friend made for one hell of a book.
