Coconut Cowboy: A Novel (Serge Storms)

Another madcap Florida history filled ride with Serge and Coleman. Dorsey manages to make this serial killer and his druggy friend protagonists of this bloody trail through rural true "south" Florida.

Serve takes on new antagonists in the latest addition to the series. Corrupt small-town politicians and Miami drug dealers. Serve also comes up with a new old way to dispatch an obnoxious business man.

Once again I am reviewing a serge storms novel, if you don't know the series don't start here, go back to the beginning or orange crush , I believe those were better books but also a better starting place with these characters. I enjoy the series because of the manic florida history lessons of serge and that ultimate justice is served in some manner, like if a certain presidential candidate were to fall through a podium into a den of alligator kind of thing. the only problem I have is that I would like to see the series move on somewhat , it has become a little lazy and predictable after a dozen or more books and seems like tim Dorsey is just churning them out like a job instead of a desire to create something great

Dorsey is as solid as ever. Fun plot, slightly less chaotic than some of the other Serge books. If you like this series you want no spoilers here, just enjoy the ride. I want a peek at his file of creative ways to kill off the folks who offend Serge's sense of morality. Brilliant.
