Have always enjoyed the way Kellerman spreads the credit among her characters. Makes them much more human. Also appreciate the fact that she doesn't kill them off just because she gets weary of writing about them. Hope to see Marge and Peter in new jobs either together or singularly.

I have read many Faye Kellerman books and as always she does a standup job. Peter Decker and Rina Lazarus are such believable characters that you would like to be invited into their world just to be part of the action.

Another great story. Faye Kellerman never disappoints. Her style of writing is easy to read, always a bit of interesting side line details as the story is told with references to keep you connected to the stories previous to this one, keep the characters familiar to you!

I really enjoyed this book; if a book prompts me to read fast and keep reading, that, to me, is the highest compliment I can give. This book did exactly that. Wonderful and realistic characters, enough suspense to keep the reader intrigued.

I love Faye Kellerman and Jonathan Kellerman. I knew this would be a good read as I've read all of Faye Kellerman's prior novels. I won't give you any clues but if you like Peter Decker you need to read this. I think changes may come in the next novel...We'll see

I have always enjoyed her Decker/Lazarus novels. They are well written, with good, believable characters and interesting plots. I enjoyed this one too, in fact, found it difficult to put down, but the plot was too bizarre, and therefore difficult to believe.

Enjoyed the ongoing charisma between Decker and Lazarus and the addition of Gabriel into there family. The plot was as always well thought out.The characters are well known to readers of the Decker Lazarus series.A comfortable feeling! Will look forward to the next book.

As with all of her books, Kellerman draws the reader in from the first page and keeps it going to the very end. The characters are three-dimensional and likable. I look forward to future books in this series.

Loved it. It was my first Faye Kellerman novel. I was pleasantly surprised to encounter Dr. Alex Delaware in this book. He is the main character in a series of books by her husband, Jonathan Kellerman. The characters in The Beast are professional, yet lovable. I really enjoyed reading this novel. I definitely recommend it!

Another excellent story by Faye Kellerman. There is plenty of suspense, the characters are well drawn, the area where it takes place is exceedingly well described, and the plot contains many surprises.

As usual Fay Kellerman has outdone herself - she only gets better with age!!! Just love her books and have read most of them!!! Recommend this to all - I love the way she has this family growing up - when Decker gets old at least she can still write about his daughter Cindy which I hope she does!!!

I like Faye Kellerman as an author. She develops her characters carefully and they become real people. This one was a little bit of a stretch with the tiger and the snakes. A bit past the believable, but still a well crafted plot.

Poorly conceived in that too much emphasis on the teenagers angst. Not a book for those who want a good adult mystery. I have bought several books by this author but this book is making me rethink any further purchases of this author's books

I thought this book was uneven compared to Ms. Kellerman's prior books of the series. Towards the end of this book, it seemed to me that she ran out of steam. Suddenly, she started summarizing what was going on with little detail to the ensuing action that followed. To that point she had done her normal approach of taking her reader through the unfolding action via the point of view of each prime character. I get the feeling with the announcement that the family is moving to New York that this could be the end of the series.

Always always always love Faye's storylines. The Decker n Lazarus characters help flesh out the further evolvement of (by now) very complex characterisations. But I hope this isn't the last...please. Jake n Sammy; Gabe n Yasmini; Cindy n Kobi n Rina out East; Marge n Will! Sorry Faye, they're 'family' now!

Not as great as her others in the Decker/ Lazarus series, but really good. I would definitely recommend it and will read it again soon. It had more of Decker, Rina, Marge and Scott Oliver than I have read n past books. Less of the kids and grandkids which Faye Kellerman seems to be moving away from. The ending was great, but a bit sad- wondering what direction she is going to take characters to next. I will b rallying forward to her next book.

Having read someone's else review, I wasn't expecting too much of this book but it was a continuation of the good story. No there wasn't so much of the Jewish faith written about, but the story was still enjoyable and believble

Faye Kellerman pulls you into a book, and between Peter's excitement and love of his work, and Rina's warm home where she's so good at making you feel part of the family...........this book can't be beat.

I enjoyed his book very much. It was interesting and fast moving. I had trouble putting it down, and I was sad when I hit the last page.
I miss the interaction with all the kids, now that they are grown. But there was Gabe' s character to pick up the slack. I would recommend it to every one

Well thought out and deeply interesting writing. Always mixing with emotions, family and long lasting relationships. I have loved learning about the Jewish faith in faye kellerman novels. Decker/Lazarus books fulfill every reader's need for Fun, mystery, romance and family values. Love, love, love them. More please.....I am hoping that when the Decker family moves east we will be blessed with more mysteries..

This author has been writing for over twenty years. During that time, she should have learned grammar or had an editor who made the necessary corrections. Within the first few pages, the author wrote "off of". That is so very poor. I haven't read far enough to learn if she abuses the reflexive pronouns. And, then of course, the affect vs. effect usage (one is a verb; the other is a noun). Most unfortunately, I purchased three of her books for my Kindle; and I will have to suffer through not only this one but the other two. The worst offender for grammar is the "Outlander" series author. And, I have all eight of these books.

Wow, how did you keep all those characters straight? I was sure happy there was x-Ray on my Kindle so I could. Great read, made me dizzy and I loved it. I think that's the bloodiest one you've written so far....Thanx!

I love the Decker/Lazarus series. Sadly I fear that we are coming to the end of careers here.... Peter is just getting too old to chase the bad guys much longer... Maybe we can get some reminiscing stories....

This book was but one more exciting book about LA Decker and all the people we have grown to love over the years and yet the story itself is fresh with so many unexpected twists, I set up all night reading it

I usually LOVE Faye Kellerman's Decker/Lazarus novels, and I did like this, but I thought the subject matter was over the top for me.
Also, I gather from the prose at the end that Decker and Marge are going to places unknown. Will Faye Kellerman write about Decker from another location?

The Beast was Kellerman at her typical best. The Beast is one of those books that you don't want to put down. You could enjoy it even if you hadn't read any of the previous books, but this one would certainly make you want to read them all.
