I loved this book by Kendall Ryan!! She has definitely become an author who I will be looking forward to her books before they even come out. It was like that for this one and it did not disappoint!! Cole & Savannah's story was wonderful. I loved how there were real issues dealt with in the book, and a strong girl coming through a tough situation. Savannah was great. And Cole... well Cole is HOT!!! 5 star read without a doubt!!!!

Loved this book from beginning to end. I could not put it down. This was not just one sex scene after another, but a great full rounded love story! Bravo! Definitely a fan. I will be reading more books authored by Kendall Ryan.

I thought the book has an interesting premise which is why I bought it. I didn't really have any major problems with the book and really liked the characters, but it seemed like there wasn't really a climax. Just when I thought something big would happen, nothing did and it kind of fell flat for me. Much of the book did the whole "we shouldn't be I really want to" angsty thing; the back and forth really began to get on my nerves. That being said, again the characters were sweet and the author gave a real insight into how difficult it would be to be pulled from that situation and forced to live in the real world.

This book was great! Hardened workaholic FBI agent falls hopelessly and madly in love with a damaged sheltered ex-cult member.
It was practically love at first sight. Cole is so sweet and caring and gentle with Savannah. I hope that every emotionally damaged woman out there finds a man like Cole!

There are authors who rarely disappoint, and Kendall Ryan is that author for me. I haven't read a book of hers that I haven't enjoyed and this one was no exception. I was completely captivated by the first page and devoured the book in a day.
What I look for in a book is a sexy and strong hero, a likable heroine, awesome chemistry, and enough suspense to keep me from wanting to put it down. This book has all of that. It starts out with Cole, a 26-year-old FBI agent, who's raiding a compound where a cult leader is suspected of convincing his followers to commit suicide. What he finds when he gets there is, Savannah, a 19-year-old refugee. Something in them instantly sparks when they see each other and although Cole watches the authorities take her away - he won't be able to get her off his mind. He ends up seeking her out to make sure she's okay - but when he finds she isn't, he offers to take her in until she can get back on her feet.
In the beginning Cole has some issues with their age difference and Savannah's innocence. Normally, I would have serious issues with that in a book, too. But their relationship is so slow building that over time, the age means nothing compared to the friendship and love that they build. It's that slow build-up of suspense that had me glued to my Kindle. I was anxious to see the walls Cole had so carefully built around himself come crashing down when he started to realize his true feelings for Savannah. But he also has demons from his past that he's kept buried deep, and they will show themselves eventually. This will cause him to finally deal with his long overdue issues and make a decision that will impact his future with Savannah.
Savannah wasn't the scared young girl that you'd expect her to be, growing up in the conditions she did. She was compassionate and sweet, and surprisingly well-adjusted - her first instinct always to take care of others. When you believe Cole is the one saving her - you start to realize she's actually saving him instead.
And oh, Cole. Such a sexy, protective, alpha male with the sweetest heart. I just fell head-over-heals for him and how wonderful he treated Savannah. He never took advantage of her and fought his obvious attraction to her for so long, always concerned more for her well-being. He always had the best of intentions, even though he tended to screw up a bit - it was never in an unforgivable way.
Lastly - I'd be remiss if I didn't mention how HOT this book was. And I mean heart-pounding, need a fan after reading some of those scenes, hot! Kendall Ryan knows not only knows how to create a perfect hero worth swooning over, but can write a steamy scene that gets your blood pumping!
A truly beautiful love story that I really enjoyed and recommend. Kendall Ryan has a fan in me for life and I can't wait for her next release!

If you read Lynda Chance, you understand what kind of male she is writing about. Clueless man, alpha male, doesn't know what he is experiencing, falls in love, but doesn't know it, etc. Yes, he did some stupid things, but not enough to make him a complete jerk. At the end of the story, you understand his failings. I thought this was a terrific read. I'll read more by this author.

I have loved Kendall's other books. The characters and dialogue were rich and interesting, with great chemistry between the protagonists.
Resisting Her reads like a first novel, and a weak one at that. The writing is awkward and stilted, and the characters are annoying and underdeveloped.
(A few minor spoilers below)
Cole's character seems inconsiderate (like asking Savannah to climb into bed with him when he has the stomach flu? Gross.). Twice he sniffs her panties which I thought was just for teenage boys and perverts, and often it seemed like he was keeping her at home like a pet. He panics when she gets cramps like it was some kind of emergency that men should avoid acknowledging at all costs. Choking at the suggestion she get her driver's licence? While the focus isn't on Savannah is immature (talking about her dog "going potty") and needy until the very end.
I hope Kendall brings her previous writing back!

In my opinion the story was beautifully written. I have read all of Kendall Ryan's books and I have loved them all. The characters are easy to fall in love with. The story line drew me in. I loved how they were perfect together. I read all the reviews bad and good before purchasing the book. I am not disappointed.

I typically enjoy Kendall Ryan (even though I think her female leads can be hit or miss when it comes to strong/independent) and her writing style. However, this book was just awful. Was it her first book or something???? Didn't feel like I was reading the same author.

Cole is definitely hero material but as unlikely as it is that an fbi agent would so readily break major rules we willingly accept he does so. Why? Because Ryan makes his irresistible attraction to Savannah the reason Cole does and overcomes. Because of very talented writing that groundbreaking about jobs and ages is very sexy rather than sleazy.

This book was ok. I really love the authors other books and have read them several times. This book was missing something just a lot of repetition. I really lost interest after his date with sali, a big turnoff in the story for me. I will continue to buy ms Ryan's books though!

The story line was way off base..An agent risking his livelihood for a 19 year old? Never in a million years but the juicy sex scenes made up for it, although the sex scene where he gives our heroine oral sex immediately after having sex with a one night stand is pretty grow...ewww

I really enjoyed this book. I like Kendalls writing style a lot and find it always flows perfectly.
Cole and Savannahs story isn't typical but when you met the love of your life you don't get to pick how and where. I loved both H/h they were learning life together. Her from being sheltered and him from seeing and being through some messed up things. Their attraction is instantly but they take their time getting to the love part and I adore that about this book.
The sex is soooo hot between them wheeewww I was fanning myself :) there's one scene with Sali and Cole that I was SOOO ANGRY AT COLE!!! But it all turns out wonderful. Loved the epilogue it was very sweet. Wouldn't mind reading about Rissa and Liam there's something there :)

Kendall writes very well, making you feel like you are in the moment. So far she writes the best sex scenes by far making them feel not slutty or dirty but romantic and loving like it should be. Serious Cole hangover ever. Good characters and felt like I knew them through the book. The plot was well thought out and followed through. The epologue was exactly what I wanted to read.... loved it & will be reading more of your books!

i thought this book was the sweetest thing ever! Even when Cole was being an butt head which was pretty much over half the book. he is the nicest person ever, and treats Savannah like a glass doll when she deserves much more credit than that. Shes a strong young women and just like he believes, is wiser than her years. i wanted to reach into the book and smack him at times, but then looking at it in his point of view i want to shake Savannah...
If she didn't want to be seen as a weak person she should have done something about it sooner. instead she acts like a weak teenager so that's how he sees her. All in all i think this was a great book. I would recommend any Kendall Ryan book because they are all good...

I thought this was a good story. The characters were well developed and interesting. The only complaint I had was the ending was a tight little wrap up and I would have liked to have seen a little more of them. But I am not sorry I bought it or read it and would definitely read more from this author.

Resisting Her had everything I love in a book, drama, romance and some unexpected twists. This may be my new favorite from Kendall Ryan. I absolutely loved Agent Cole Fletcher & Savannah's determination is inspiring!

Great story. Unexpected. Loved Cole and Savanna and all the drama, romance, and growth that came with them. Although I wanted more at the end, I appreciated the epilogue. Can't wait for your next book!

I loved Kendall's first book and really enjoyed the other two that followed. This book had an interesting plot but NOTHING happened! There was barely any differentiation with most of the book taking place inside a condo and no action or event leading to a climax for the book. There was a good premise but a weak story line that just replayed the same few statments over and over again. "Boy likes girl but should resist" , "Girl wants boy to give in". Character inner dialoge held these two statements on repeat & just kept reoccurring making this book very bland and hard to swallow. Here is hoping for more from her next book because I loved her first book so much and really hope she can return to that level!

The book was okay. Nothing to brag about. It needed more action, more juice, more something. Her first book was better. This book started off fine but got boring as it continued. Her writing is fine the book was just a bit lacking.

Resisting Her is the story of a vulnerable young woman, the man cares for her, and the love that saves them both.
In a couple of ways, Resisting Her reminded me of Kendall Ryan's first book, Unravel Me. And I loved that. We once again have a psychological angle (albeit, not as severe as in Unravel Me), with Savannah having grown up in a cult, naïve to the ways of the world. Also, the "forbidden" relationship angle is again at play. Cole is an FBI agent, assisted in taking down the cult Savannah lived in, personally carrying her out of the building. Once the rescue is finished, Savannah is placed in a safe house, since she is of age. But Cole can't forget the beautiful, quiet girl, and once again rescues her. He knows he shouldn't take her home with him, shouldn't let her become part of his life, but the two become closer, with an undeniable attraction, and he can't resist her.
In Resisting Her, Ryan was able to portray the characters; their motivations, their wants and needs so clearly, that it is easy to see why they want one another. A relationship that may seem all sorts of wrong from the outside, becomes the story of two people who a good for each other and simply meant to be.
As always, Kendall Ryan brought the steam. Now, I'm going not to delve to deeply into the scenes, but I will say this...look out for Chapter Sixteen and Chapter Twenty-four. Those were two personal favorites of mine.
Resisting Her was a heartfelt, emotional, and steamy story. I always love Ryan's books and am always excited and ready for more.

I really wanted to like this book a lot more than I did. It had a hunky FBI agent, a damsel in distress and all the other makings of a wonderful story. But it the end it was just okay.
Cole was exactly what I expected and Savannah was not annoyingly needed and her being naïve to some issues was understandable but I wanted a little more DRAMA,. The Dillon story line was anti-climatic as well as the storyline surrounding Abbi.
The book wasn't bad it just wasn't exciting!!!
