Halley's Bible Handbook with the New International Version

Ever since this book was first released it has done nothing but benefit the Christian community with its simple illustrations and descriptions of Biblical topics. This is a must-have for every Christian home and especially for those who study the Bible in depth. This is an amazing book by an amazing man who will educate all who plunge into this material. I strongly recommend this book!

Its an excellent book, but someone should have helped the publisher get it published right. You have a lot of sideway pages... which make the book unreadable in this format. It seems no one took the time to make the book LOOK RIGHT for Kindle.

They have messed up a good book that would have gotten a 5-Star, because they didn't do it right. If They Fix This, I Will Change My Review.

I wouldn't buy it again in this format. Stick withe the hardback copies on this one. They are beautiful and easy to read. They invite the study... this one does not!!!

This is an excellent book for the novice/mature reader of the Bible;. My late husband who was an Espicopal Priest had several in his library. I use it daily as a referral while reading the Bible. It truely follows scripture and is very helpful to a new/uninformed Christian.

Book is wonderful. Had purchased earlier combined with NIV for Kindle, was so interested purchased this hard copy. Do wish had purchased with the NIV combination, being together in one, so one does not need to write notes back and forth between two books.

This is a very good commentary whether it is your 1st or the 50th commentary you have. Hallye's Bible was the very first commentary that I had purchased over 30 yrs ago, which I can't find. It is very easy to understand.

I was in Bible Study with several other people, I ordered many books and all were in almost perfect condition. Also, I was able to find several for the people who also wanted them, I think I ended up ordering about 5 or 6! Thanks the store.com

I inherited a copy from my grandfather (1953 printing) and really enjoyed all the insights, but most of that was pretty dated (1930-ish). Bought this one for a friend (1964 printing), and the text hasn't changed much. I plan on buying the newest revision in the future.
