I love a good friends to lovers story, and Melissa Foster does them well. Emery and Dean met when Emery arrived in town to celebrate her best friend's engagement. Once she returned home, they began a long-distance friendship, or so Emery thought. Dean had fallen instantly in love. When Emery decides to leave her life in VA behind and move to the Cape, Dean is behind her 100%. He slowly helps her gain her footing in her new community, and as he does, Emery begins to realize that he is someone she can fall for.

One of the things I love about MF's books is the connections she makes amongst the characters. While Bayside Passions could be read as a stand-alone, one of the joys is catching up with characters from previous books, like Mira. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

This is a wonderful book! Usually, long distance relationships just do not work out, but in this case, it made Emery and Dean's "friendship" stronger. Yes, they classified it as friendship. Then, Emery moves to the Cape where Dean and her best friend live. Even though the chemistry between them is so strong, things do not just jump from friendship to more. There is a story to tell, of course. Melissa Foster takes her characters on a ride, that we, the readers, feel like we are a part of with them. I laughed, smiled, cried, and cheered as I read this book. Emery and Dean are very different people, but they are wonderful together. It was so hard to let them go at the end. I am so looking forward to the next book in the series. I very highly recommend that you one click this book.

As always I love Melissa’s books! All Melissa books can be read as a standalone but if you read them in order all the characters seem like family. Dean and Emery meet in book 1 but lived far apart so just became best friends by phone and internet communication. They really got to know each well. Then Emery moves to bayside and the sparks start to fly between them but Emery just got out of a bad relationship with her ex boss and doesn’t want to jeopardize her friendship with Dean. But sometimes the attraction is too strong. Everyone needs a Dean in there life. He is the total package!! As always finished the book in one day, couldn’t put it down.

I received an advance readers copy in exchange for an honest review!! Melissa Foster is the only author that I have read all her books!!

A few notes about the author--her books (even the series) are written that they can be read as standalone books and the reader can follow along. I liked this story, but I have to say with this one it made a lot more sense having read the first in the Bayside series already. I liked Dean and Emery's story, but I could only give it 4 out of 5 stars because it was a little predictable as a friends to lovers story. Without any big spoilers, I had a hard time believing Emery's thought process--was she really that oblivious to her own feelings or just in denial. Once they start to work through things, the story provides a fair amount of believable drama for them to navigate. Dean and Emery's friendship is beautiful to see and the reader gets some backstory as to how it developed, and their love is obvious to everyone! Steamy!

Bayside Passion - Dean and Emery

This is a slow growing, hot burning, down to earth love story. Dean and Emery start out as friends but something more is there under the surface. Emery moves to Bayside to be closer to her friend Desiree. That is when things heat up with Dean.

Emery is afraid to lose the great friend she has in Dean. She always seems to screw things up. Dean is confident that wont happen, but he has to be patient and wait her out.

Dean does all he can to make her realize that what they have wont go away if they give in to their feelings.

Just as things are going great, Dean’s estranged father makes Emery rethink her relationship with Dean.

Will they stay together or will Emery run again.

A great love story.

I LOVED this story! Being friends first hits home with me. I loved that Dean and Emery had been growing their relationship emotionally over the time prior to Emery’s move to Bayside. Those bonds were strong, it was just a matter of opening their eyes, especially Emery’s to the idea of not wanting to date a friend.

The course of events that these two navigated ultimately led them to each other, even after Emery’s move to Bayside. Watching them try to figure out and navigate their relationship was something that kept me intrigued and reading to the point that I read this in one sitting.

I strongly recommend this story and really, any Melissa Foster story for that matter! You’ll be drawn in quickly and unable to stop reading!

The beauty of Melissa Foster as an author is that readers get to experience the many sides of her personality through the stories she tells. The Bayside Summers series is less intense, but no less riveting. Dean and Emery are a breath of fresh air with their flirty banter and budding friendship. However, Bayside Passions is a Melissa Foster novel. Underneath the breeze lies a few gusts. There will be patches of rain that will darken the canvas, but in the end the storm clouds make it worth the ride.

A typical Melissa Foster book.  Engaging characters, quirky characters working through everyday life issues of work, family and love.
Dean and Emery are likable characters that you know will fall in love.  Dean is a committed, grounded man fully in love with Emery.  Dean needs to gently guide Emery to realizing this is a real relationship.  Family tensions, an overbearing father add drama and tension.
Emery's devotion to yoga and belief in all the benefits really make you want to try it.
A little light on the sexy side but I always enjoy a Melissa Foster book and hanging out in Bayside.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner...this story was fantastic it started off exactly as a lasting relationship should...as friends, albeit long distance but who’s checking right. Emery is so cute and bubbly and chaotic at times but after she moves closer to her bff Desiree, things quickly evolve between her and Dean. Dean is a lovable sexy built man so easy to fall in love with, but his love for Emery is written in the stars...it’s always been there and always will be. These two have hiccups but nothing they can’t navigate. Whoever says life isn’t better on the Cape hasn’t met these two. Steaming up the pages is just one of the many side effects this story brings. Don’t miss out on this gem!

Dean and Emery are so magical together. From the start of the book, Dean is bursting with emotion for Emery, who is more reserved about her feelings. Emery has had a lot in her past that makes her think that she won't be able to make it work with Dean, but Dean's patience and gentle persistence and overall sweetness is just overwhelming. I absolutely adore the tenderness they display in this book with the other characters and can't suggest it enough to read.

Bayside Passions portrays the tale of two individuals who grow as friends before giving into the inevitable. Emery Andrews met Dean Masters through Emery's friend Desiree and although Dean seemed to know right away that Emery was what he was looking for, Emery looks at her previous dating history and fights the chemistry.

The journey that Emery and Dean go through as Dean proves that he is what she is looking for is one that shows great friendship with a few bumps and lots of laughs. Dean breaks down Emery's walls and she is there for him when he needs her most.

Dean and Emery's story is another favorite of mine, I can't wait for the next book in the Bayside Summers series!

Emery is a free spirit and yoga instructor. She’s more than that, but that’s how she comes across. Dean is a landscaper. He’s more than that, too, but not according to his father. Emery and Dean became long-distance best friends after meeting at a wedding. When Emery has the chance to move and work with her group of best friends, she jumps at the opportunity. The question is, will she and Dean work in person? Will they ever be respected for their work? Can they make it long-term?

Melissa Foster knows how to write stories that grab you in and keep you turning pages. Enjoy this one -the passion just might be real, and more than you think!

I loved this sweet, sexy romance. It was very upbeat and happy with very little drama. If you like an easy going, swoon-worthy, sweet romance then this is totally the book for you.

This is the second book in the series and this is Emery and Dean's story and they majorly cute together. They compliment each other so well. Dean is such a sweet sensitive soul that is the perfect match for Emery's free spirit. He encourages her and manages to ground her without even trying bless him.

I loved all the second characters too, they made me laugh with the banter and swoon with the sexiness. They made me chuckle and enjoy this sweet tale.

Bayside Passions is the story of Dean and Emery. Dean is a resort owner in Wellfleet and Emery has followed her best friend Desiree to teach yoga. Dean is Emery’s other best friend and she struggles with taking their relationship to the next level in fear of jeopardizing their friendship, but Dean is positive they’ll be amazing and his commitment to her is absolute. You can’t go wrong with a Melissa Foster book. She always brings the funny, emotional, light, and hot with characters you can relate to. Bayside Passions is a great addition to the Bayside series, which is a spinoff of her well-received Seaside series.

Welcome back to Bayside Resort and the fun of the Cape.

Dean Masters and Emery Andrews met when her BFF Desiree got engaged to Dean's friend and business partner, Rick. Ever since, they have kept in touch thru phone calls, FaceTime and Skype and became best friends. Dean helps Emery come to the decision to leave Virginia and move to the Cape after a botched attempt to date her boss at a facility where she is a yoga back-care specialist. When she finally gets to the Cape and her and Dean are finally face to face, their friendship becomes so much more. She is the chaos to his calm.

I love Melissa Foster's books and the Love in Bloom series. Even though they are standalones, you get cameos from other favorite characters. You get steam, strong friendships, and a few bumps in the road to happily ever after.

Dean and Emery were amazing together and great chemistry too. He's such a swoon worthy man with his restraint and patience with Emery and helping her see what she's been denying herself. I can't wait to see what Melissa brings us next.

I loved Bayside Summers book 1 and was extremely excited to read Bayside Passions which is the second book in the series. It is a stand alone book, but it brings back characters from the first book. Dean and Emery are such a great couple. I was captivated by their friendship and how close they are and when they go to the next level things just get hot! I was disappointed to finish the book because I just wanted to crawl into their world and live there for awhile. It really makes you want a love like theirs. This is top notch writing by Melissa Foster. I love this series of books.

BAYSIDE PASSIONS by Melissa Foster is book Two in the "Bayside Summers" series. This is the story of Dean and Emery. I thought was easily a standalone book.
Emery and Dean hit is off after meeting at a wedding and kept in touch. But Emery has been putting him in the friend zone and Dean wants more. Emery ends up moving to start a new chapter in her life with puts in moving closer to her best friend and of course Dean.
This was really a sweet friendship to romantic love story. I am a fan of this author and will look forward to more of her books.

This book is another romantically, sweet and spicy book that has the most amazing heroines! Melissa never fails to deliver the sexy, smart and lovely characters you can’t help but fall head over heals in love with. Emory is the amazing combination of sweet, sexy, fun and a good example of organized chaos. Dean is the serious, sexy and sweet counter part that is every bit as organized as Emory is not. Take the journey with these amazing characters as she leaves her hometown for the adventure that not only changes her life, but creates a new adventure for both of them!

I love Melissa Foster books. This book can be enjoyed as a standalone but is a great follow on from Bayside Desires when Dean and Emery first meet. Now Emery has moved to the Cape and their long distance friendship becomes something more. I adored this story and the characters, a landscape gardener and yoga instructor; in a resort setting. The book is fun and sexy, there is attention to detail and depth of emotion. The inclusion of characters from the first book and the link to the Seaside Series is what makes Melissa Fosters books an absolutely must read.

Bayside Passions is the second book in the Bayside Summers series, but it can be read as stand-alone like any other book in the series. Although I would say, read the first book first because the stories click together and they make everything better. My biggest problem with this book is that I wasn't able to connect with the story. I wasn't as engaged as I am usually am with Melissa Foster's books and I felt a little let down. I didn't like Emery for some reason. I am disconnected from her. I loved Dean though. At some point when I was reading the story, I thought of him as husband material. Not just boyfriend, but husband. He has some sweet moments and in others, he is an alpha.

I was going to give a lower rating to the book, but I just couldn't do it. Bayside Passions is not as good as the other books though. There was something missing from this story and that's a shame because the author is good and almost always I end up loving her books. I hope her next release to be like the rest of the books. I would recommend the book just because of the author. If she is brand new to you don't start with this story.

I absolutely loved how Dean and Emery got to know each other. It's actually a lost art form, if you ask me. Communication is the best thing for a budding romance. The way they called each other, late night text.. They were friends before anything physical happened. Which is the way it should be.
I had a great time reading this book. It was fun, flirty and serious. I also enjoyed the supporting characters. It's always fun to bring back beloved people from other books.

This is another beautiful book by Melissa Foster. We follow the story of Emery Andrews. Her best friend Desiree falls in love, moves away and opens an inn leaving Emery feeling that something is missing. She visits Desiree on holidays and meets Dean Master. Dean is hot, sexy, and such an amazing guy. After Emery returns home she starts taking to Dean and overtime they start flirting and develop an amazing friendship. Several months later Emery finally takes a job at Desiree’s Inn to teach yoga. This could be interesting, it gives Emery the chance to spend more time with her BFF who she has missed terribly and also spend time with her “close” friend Dean.

Dean is so excited that Emery is moving closer and wants to spend more time with Emery and hopefully move from friends to lovers. There are lots of twists and turns, which is what I’d expect from Ms Foster. What happens when Emery wakes up and finds a naked man in the house she’s shares???? How will Dean react to this????? Can Emery help Dean with the problems he has with his family???? Will love conquer all????? Will Emery finally decide to give Dean a chance????

Dean and Emory's story is so beautiful. They have had a flirtatious relationship for a while but lived in separate cities. An incident with an old boss sends Emory out of town and into Dean's arms. I enjoyed Dean and Emery's story. The story flowed well I thought. I had not read book 1 in the series yet, so jumping into book 2 I was at a disadvantage. I felt like I couldn't connect with the characters. It's labeled as a stand alone but I recommend reading book 1 first to get a feel for the people in the story. I love Melissa's books. Melissa has done it again. Her books get better and better. Just when you think she can't top her latest, she does. Dean and Emerys relationship started as a flirtation. Then they became close friends through Skype. Dean had strong feelings for Emery. However, Emery thought of them as friends, very good friends. Emery swore off dating friends. The last relationship she had, she had to leave great job. Emery decided to move to Willfleet permanently instead of just going to work as a yoga instructor for the summer. Things change when Emery had to nice in with Dean for a while.
This story has a HEA and no cliffhangers.

I'm currently sitting wrapped up against the cold as I write this, but the cold wasn't such a problem while I was reading Bayside Passions. I found Emery totally relatable, with her relationship nerves and determination to help others heal. Dean is off the charts hot, but also sweet, sexy, and patient. Bayside Passions is the second book in the Bayside Summers series. This is a stand alone book that is part of the series and the focused couple met before this book starts. Emery and Dean got to know each other a lot between the first book and this one, and in that time they have developed a deep relationship. Now when Emery has been given the chance to move closer, we get to see how things go when they are face to face. Will it be all they hoped for? I really enjoyed this book, and I highly recommend it!

Cute, sweet, and sexy Bayside Passions is a friends to lovers romance that you won’t be able to put down. I adored every single page of this book! Brimming with humor and a swoon worthy romance Dean and Emery’s story quickly won me over and had me glued to the pages. Their seriously sweet story had me smiling right from the very start and that smile didn’t leave my face through the entire book.

Quirky, fun, and hilarious Emery was absolutely adorable. She’s definitely one of my favorite heroines. With a huge heart bursting with love for everyone around her she was a joy to read. Dean was exceptionally lovable himself. Although not as quirky as his woman, he had a killer sense of humor also along with being so incredibly romantic. These two were the perfect match making their story sweet and easy.

Bayside Passion is a fun, flirty and enjoyable friends to lovers story.

This story like the first in this series (Bayside Desires) was filled with laughter and swoon worthy moments and you will be left with a huge smile on your face.

Although this isn’t my favorite of this series so far, I still found it to be an enjoyable read. This story isn’t filled with a lot of drama, so I found it hard to hold my attention at times. But I did like the storyline and the characters were absolutely lovable. I loved both of these characters when we met them in the first book. I will say that Emery’s character drove me crazy at times, that I just wanted to shake her and say wake up, but overall I loved her character. As for Dean, what’s not to love!!! He truly made this story for me.

Bayside Passion is the second standalone novel in Melissa Foster’s Bayside Summers Series. Each of these stories can be read as a complete standalone, but for this book I would suggest maybe reading the first book first. Only because those characters play a big part into this story and the storyline, even though focused on a new couple, kind of takes off from where the first book ended. I guess an easier way of saying it is that Dean and Emery’s story is set up in the first book, so you will be able to get their full connection by reading the books in order. This is a light hearted, with very little drama, and is filled with a lot of laughter and sexual tension.

One thing I will point out is that this story is told in the third person, which all Melissa’s books are, but this one seemed to be filled with more inner monologue then her other books and it felt more like some telling me the story, then letting the reader feel the story and emotions. I just felt that really slowed down the pace of the story and made things drag at times. Even with that said this story was well worth the read.

This story focuses on Dean and Emery. Dean is the Best Friend of Rick and also one of the co-owners of the resort. Emery is the Best Friend of Desiree, who is Rick’s finance and owns/runs an Inn on the resort in the Cape. Emery came to visit Emery and fell in love with the quaint little town and after she had a failed relationship with her ex-boss, Emery decides to move to the same town as Desiree and Dean. Dean and Emery met when she came to visit Desiree. They struck up a great long distance friendship….So both were excited that she was moving to town. Dean over the time has grown feelings for Emery, but Emery has sworn off dating friends. Can Dean make Emery fall for him?? Will these two friends be able to cross the line into something more and get their HEA?? Read this story to find out.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a swoony Hero who will melt your panties and your heart. This is a perfect beach/pool side book to read on that lazy day in the sun.

Bayside Passions is another fantastic read in the Bayside Summers series. This book drew me in from the very first page. It is a story full of romance, humor, and some steamy heat. A well-written story with a plot moves at a good pace with a fresh, new story line that is easy to read. It is captivating and kept my attention to the very end. This is a story that will make you smile and laugh while wanting to knock some sense into the characters.

The characters are well developed and easy to like. This author knows how to create a story with enough romance and action to keep the reader entertained and interested. The characters in this series have become like my own friends and family. I can’t wait to read more in this series to see what happens with the rest of the characters. Melissa does a great job of intertwining the characters from each book into the rest of them.

Bayside Passions is another book from a very gifted author that I had the pleasure to read. Melissa Foster is a very talented author that tells remarkable stories that captivate you and will have you not wanting to put the book down. I have not been disappointed yet! Definitely, an author that you will want to keep on your go-to list. If you enjoy reading a romance that is entertaining and full of humor, then you will thoroughly enjoy this book. A truly entertaining read.

Melissa has done it again! Every book keeps getting better and better. Dean and Emery met in Bayside Desires. Emery is Desiree’s best friend and Dean is Rick’s business partner and best friend. Dean and Emery met over the summer when she came to visit Des. Dean was smitten at first sight. When she went back to Virginia, he and Emery stayed in touch and talked pretty much every day. They became Best friends. Emery was bad at relationships and the last thing she wanted was a relationship with friend again. After moving to Wellfleet to teach yoga and be close to her 2 best friends, she and Dean become closer and realize they have feelings for each other. This book has all of the Melissa charms...sarcasm,!witty banter and romance. I love this book

A friendship and love should go hand-in-hand. The wild, intense passion that we often get from Melissa was a little more subdued in this book; however, I am in love with Dean and Emery. True love built on a foundation of friendship is strong and stable. It's easy to get wrapped up in a friendship and as a woman, I can understand how Emery could miss the cues that Dean wants more.

Emery swears off dating "friends" but there is an incredibly deep connection with Dean and his determination to get her to break that wall down is incredibly passionate and honorable. His dedication to being true to his career choice (he's a landscaper who is not only good with his hands but gives his time to the elderly....I mean, who wouldn't find that sexy and attractive!!). Emery is more free-spirited because of her parent's broken relationship. Together, they offer a balance of all that is good in life.

Melissa gives love hope again with Dean and Emery. They prove that friendship can be a firm foundation for a true, deep, and passionate love. Another grand slam for the series!

I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

Ohhh Dean and Emery(absolutely adore her name btw) gahh I loved their story! I lost a LOT of sleep and stayed up way too late finishing another fantastic book by Melissa Foster!

Generally, when I read a book description and see that it's friends-to-lovers, I want to roll my eyes. Sometimes it can seem like the story line has been overdone, and just can't be appealing enough for me. This book definitely proved me wrong.

I love Melissa Foster's books, and the way that she makes these places somewhere YOU would personally want to move, and the people you would want to be friends with. The men are pretty alpha, especially Dean, but he proves to Emery over and over again that being friends first won't ruin things between them. All that means is that they had a strong and stable foundation for things to start out.

Once Emery gets out of her own darn way, these two make sparks literally fly off the pages.

This was a great book, and I cannot wait for the next book in Bayside!

Bayside Passions is a wonderful story. Emery and Dean meet in book one when Dean flies Emery here for Christmas so she can be with her best friend. Emery and Dean become friends and stay in touch through a long distance relationship. Emery decides to move to Bayside to be by her best friend and start her yoga business. Dean is so sweet and understanding and a perfect boyfriend. This is a wonderful love story of two friends falling in love. Dean is always there for Emery and she soon realizes that she and Dean are meant to be together. Their chemistry is fantastic and they are with their friends. Deans family is very interesting. and I enjoyed Rose and her friends. Melissa Foster has written a fantastic story and I enjoy that she keeps previous friends in her books and always introducing us to new one. Melissa Fosters book do not disappoint and each story gets better. I am looking forward to the next book.

Melissa has a gifted talent writing stories that I love! B. J. Harrison had a smooth voice in bringing the characters to life.
Dean Masters left his job as a nurse to do landscaping for places around Bayside. He meets Emory Andrews while she visited her friend Desiree. When Emory goes back to Virginia, her boss hit on her. When Desiree offered her a job at the Inn being a yoga instructor, she takes it. Emory and Dean had been in contact with each other every since her visit. When Emory told Dean, she would not date friends he agreed, but worked to change her mind. The first morning Emory was there she found a naked man in her kitchen. When she told Dean, he put her in his guest bedroom. What a time Dean had dealing with her quirks!

Melissa Foster sure has a way of creating a story that just pulls you in. And she accomplished that with Bayside Passions. In this story we get to meet Dean Masters and Emery Andrew. Emery loves teaching yoga and when a position opens up which brings her to where her best friend lives, she jumps at the chance. Emery previously met Dean Masters amd her best friends wedding and they have been chatting up a storm ever since. Now with the move, that also brings her closer to Dean. Dean would really love the chance to pursue their relationship to something deeply but Emery has put Dean in the friend category. When the situation arises that Dean offers to let Emery stay with him, now it up to Dean to gently sway her to realize they belong together. Their interactions and flirty vibes being their attraction to a head and its intense. Absolutely loved everything about their story.

What a truly amazing love story! Emery and Dean are a match made in heaven! Emery and Dean build a strong friendship from afar after one meeting. They talk for hours every night before she moves to the Bay. Dean has waited to make his move. He just needs to convince her that she can’t ruin what they have built. He truly spent the time to learn her inside and out and to learn everything about her to be with her and understand her. And the epilogue... swoon worthy!

After meeting Emery and Dean in the first Bayside Summers book, I couldn't wait for them to get their own story. As always Melissa hits the nail on the head and created two people who are just perfect for each other.
After some bad relationship decision Emery has decided to move to Wellfleet to join her BFF and start a new adventure, with the rule that she won’t date friends anymore. Of course this complicates things for Dean as he’s become her second best friend, but is crazy about her and would love to step out of the friend zone.
I just love Dean, he’s down to earth and grounds Emery in a way not many people can and Emery is lovely too, but sometimes I just really felt like smacking her upside her head to get some sense into her.
As always Melissa has brought us a great book and can’t wait to see what and who she’ll bring us next.

Together they make one of the best couples Melissa Foster has ever written. This is the perfect warm-up for the winter chill!
