I have found my new book boyfriend in Bear Whiskey. He's everything you could want in an sexy as sin biker hero. Bear is so loving, giving and patient. 'Sigh'. Crystal is a strong lead that I absolutely adore and relate to. The characters are so richly written that I feel like I know these people.

I was thoroughly engrossed in this story from start to finish. It's just so good. The story flows nicely, all the characters are beautifully written. The emotion, the love, the trust is wrapped up tightly on every single page.

Melissa Fosters truly know how to write from the heart.

I was excited that we got to catch up with Tru, Gemma, Kennedy and Lincoln. Kennedy is the cutest with all her Whiskey Uncles and her Aunt Dixie. I can't wait to read Bear's siblings stories.

This copy given in exchange for an honest review.

There's no denying the chemistry between Bear and Crystal. They've been really good friends for a very long time. Bear wants it to be more and he's a very patient man. Crystal has issues from her past that she would prefer stayed there. I adored this storyline. I absolutely love Bear and his sexy biker self. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was how wishy washy Crystal was and how she treated Bear. But I will say by the end of the book I liked her a little better.

For me this book was slow reading. The story seemed to repeat the same things over and over. I know Crystal had a tragic background, but I got to the point I just skipped Bear asking permission for everything. I know this was a major part of the story line, but too slow. I would have liked a bit more conflict with the mother or with Bear's family over Dixie.
I am looking forward to Bullet's story. Hope to see Jed, Quincy, Dixie stories in the future.
Also, would like more of an epilogue at the end. When I invest in a series and characters I like to know what is going on in their lives 2/3 yerars down the road.
Only for You (Sugar Lake Book 2) :: Seized by Love (Love in Bloom - The Ryders) :: Bayside Desires (Bayside Summers Book 1) :: The Bradens at Peaceful Harbor Book 5) - Tempest Braden (Love in Bloom :: Anything For Love (The Bradens and Montgomerys - Oak Falls Book 2)

Normally, I stay away from novels about bikers because they don't interest me. However, I really liked Bear's character in the beginning, and because he was so lovable, I kept reading, but then it got too sappy. After I got through the sappy part, it just got too ridiculous. The author turned the female character into a born again virgin and tease. It was ridiculous how many times he asked permission. After half way through the story, I couldn't even force myself to finish it. The writer's description of everything was so silly. I won't bother reading anymore if her books even if they're free.

Crystal had a lot to overcome. Her strength and courage allowed her to do just that. Having Bear's love was the icing on the cake. Can't wait to read more about the Whiskey siblings and see how Bear and Crystal are doing.

No gotcha....could have been a good book. Could not keep my attention or interest and that rately happens. Almost like there are two many story ideas and they collide in a huge mess. Liked the preview but not once I got it. Better luck next time.

I wanted to read Bear's story since I first read about him in Tru and Gemma's story. I loved the fact that Bear was this hardcore biker with a soft heart.

I loved the fact that Bear was prepared to wait on Crystal. After what she's been through she needed a man who would go on her terms and not his
But on the other hand I was upset about Chrystal, I felt like she was messing with Bear's feelings. First she wanted him and then she pushed him away. And even though I liked Bear I felt like he could have been more alpha (or maybe its just me and my alpha tendencies, lol) He had to ask her permission for everything. "Can I kiss you", "Can I touch you", "Is this okay, is that okay"... The chemistry between Chrystal and Bear was HOT!

Everything else was good, I loved the Whiskey Brothers and I loved Dixie, she is a badass. Tru, Gemma and the kids were totally adorable.
Even though I loved this book, I felt like it was dragging too much. Felt it could have been a bit shorter, other than that, Bear was HOT!

I will definitely read the next book, hoping its about one of the Whiskey's

Crystal Moon is hiding a dark secret that keeps her from letting anyone all the way in. She's happy with where her life is, as she has iron control over it, until Bear Whiskey decides to make her his. It irritates her, and yet, she feels a connection to him, but is scared to let him close. Bear has gone 8 months with Crystal holding him at arms length, but for whatever reason, he knows that she's worth it. Not to mention, she has become one of his closest friends, but he's in it to win it, so he will do anything to make her his. Who wins this battle of wills? OMG this has become my very favorite of the many amazing stories this author has written. Bear is absolutely a mouth watering HOT HOT HOT alpha without all the bs, and Crystal is the strongest woman, who doesn't put up with crap, and refuses to be a victim. Together, they finally explode into some serious fiery hot, steamy sexy scene goodness that will destroy panties everywhere. I'm highly addicted to Melissa Foster's super talented writing style, as once again, she instantly captivated me while transporting me into their world, and frankly, I never wanted to leave. The colorful and entertaining cast of secondaries, including one super cute little girl and a kitten named Harley, kept me laughing hard, and I cannot wait to read more stories! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Bear's family so much, that I hope she keeps writing about them for a long time! In case no one guessed yet, I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND Truly, Madly, Whiskey to everyone far and wide!

I enjoyed this very quick, sweet - yet sexy story by Foster. I look forward to reading more about the Whiskey Family, as there are brothers and a sister to get matched up. I like how our two main characters, Bear and Crystal, just really seemed to be perfect together. I loved the banter and easiness between them before they even became a couple. I love how that same banter took on an even more sexy tone once they did get together. Bear was definitely a man all about pleasing his woman, even after he knew what she'd been through, and he made sure to stay at a pace that made Crystal comfortable with what had happened in her past.
The family is a good one, even with being tough motorcycle club men, they are all about taking care of those who need help, and being there for their family and friends. While at first I had trouble liking their dad completely, because of how he was so adamant about not letting his daughter Dixie take over running the bar, because she was a girl, when you get a chance to hear what's really going on there, you'll fall in love with him, making you love this whole family.
My only issue was the perfectly timed run-in with that issue from Crystal's past. It seemed just to perfect, and I feel like it was almost, no really unrealistic. I mean, how in the world did that person, that she'd only seen that one time ever it sounded like, just happen to show up in the town again, and she'd never run into him at any point in between? That's my biggest issue. Other than that, it was nice to have a story where there weren't a ton of huge crises and horrible emotional situations. A story where people really for the most part were well-adjusted and normal seeming. Or maybe it's only normal seeming for someone who lived a life like I have, normal for the most part, with caring, wonderful family, of all sorts, even after divorces and other things.

Crystal Moon is a good daughter. But sometimes that’s just not good enough. Bear Whiskey is a very persistent man. He also made me laugh. I love how much he’s willing to put up with to get what he wants. This is a story where you can feel the chemistry between the two main characters.

Our author is very good about holding secrets close to her chest and not divulging anything until the characters are ready. Crystal is a woman who is also good about holding on to secrets and we don’t discern what that is until she’s ready to let it out. This story is about how much someone will change in order to hide that secret from the people they love. A person’s emotions are a strong theme here. Bear is a man with plenty of patience. These two characters kept my attention that it became hard to put it down.

There are secondary characters that you may find wanting to know more about. The best way to do that is go back and read Tru Blue – you won’t be disappointed. That may be a book that you want to read first so that you can be up to speed on how Crystal and Bear came to be in this story. Bear shows how you can’t judge a person by their name. I had either one big smile or two smaller ones when I got to the ending. Our main characters gave me a happy ending that I thoroughly enjoyed and I was happy to see that I have at least three more chances to love The Whiskeys.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

TRULY, MADLY, WHISKEY by Melissa Foster! Ms. Foster has truly taken my breath away with this beautiful love story of Bear and Crystal. Who wouldn't want Bear as a boyfriend? He's big and strong and super sexy, but on top of that, he's sweet and kind and tender and extremely patient. Crystal, while her actions might sometimes come across as frustrating, learning her story and her heartache certainly allows for it. I truly liked Crystal and found her to be extremely brave and fun but so vulnerable my heart hurt for her. Together, their chemistry is off the charts, but there is so much more to them than that. Bear and Crystal honestly care for each other (even if there might be a secret or two). Ms. Foster has a knack for writing tales that take the reader on a bit of an emotional rollercoaster where one finds themselves laughing and crying with the characters yet cheering and yelling at them throughout as well. I could not finish this book fast enough yet was hesitant to turn each page because I didn't want to finish it either! I wanted it to go on and on and on. We met Bear and Crystal in TRU BLUE (which is another one of my all time faves) and it was fun to revisit Tru and Gemma. That said, it is not necessary to read that one first. If you haven't had the opportunity to read a Ms. Foster book, I highly recommend starting. And what better than to start with Bear and Crystal! (received copy for honest review)

Truly, Madly, Whiskey is a stand-alone novel by Melissa Foster. It's connected with some other books, but there is no need to have read them before you begin this book. The main characters from Tru Blue appear in this book and if you have read their book you will appreciate the story more because we get to see them getting married and of course their wonderful family. I always love seeing some of the characters I know and love.

Bear has been trying to make Crystal his for the last eight months, but her past is holding her back. No matter how hard she tried to push him away he was there and he finally managed to wear her down. *spoiler alert*I have to warn you for a possible trigger. Crystal was raped and there is a brief description of it. *end of spoiler alert*

I loved all the bear puns. They were funny and I loved that name for the hero. If I remove that thing mentioned above the novel has a light tone and is a little bit humorous. It was a very enjoyable read and I had Bear was a great hero. Crystal needed some work on her character, but I was mostly satisfied with her. Truly, Madly, Whiskey is a very good book and I can't wait to read what the author has planned for the Whiskey family. I hope Dixie will be next.

In this extremely hot, stand alone book, Melissa Foster sets the pages on fire with the attraction between Crystal and Bear. I don’t know how she does it, but Melissa Foster makes you want to crawl inside the pages of her books to get even closer to her characters!

Crystal is a damaged, closed off woman who helps her best friend Gemma run a party boutique while staying far away from the opposite sex. Bear Whiskey is a mechanic, bartender, and motorcycle club member who has fell head over heels for the smart mouthed Crystal.

After 8 months of chasing, Bear finally catches Crystal. Not understanding why she had been dodging him, she finally tells him the horror of her life through college: her parents loosing their home, her father’s subsequent death from a drunk driver, her sexual assault in college and her alcoholic mother.

After all she had been through, all Bear wants to do is protect her. So, giving her Harley, a small kitten, her walls start to crumble.

This smoking hot story will make you want to cuddle closer to your significant other when you real Crystal and Bear’s tale of how they fell in love.

Melissa Foster has a way with words and keep you wanting more. I can’t wait to read her next story!

Bear and Crystal have a mutual attraction that can’t be denied. So Bear does everything he can to get Crystal to give him a chance, but little does he know that Crystal is holding back for reasons that have nothing to do with him.

I loved Bear, he was sweet, and patient and goes out of his way for everyone. After scarfing for most of his adult life he is finally coming into being able to fight for what he wants for his life. Crystal is very damaged, and keeping secrets from her closest friend… while she thinks she has moved on from her past, she is really starting to work through her issues for real.

This book was very slooowwwww moving. I felt for the characters and their struggles, but it was honestly difficult to keep my attention focused on the story. I felt that not much really happened throughout the story, and what hurdles did pop up were all just wrapped up in a little too perfect of a bow at the end.

That being said, if you enjoy sweet stories, focused on overcoming past trauma and a lot of SLOW sex scenes, you will love this book.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.

Passion. Hope. Determination. Strength.

Melissa Foster has written a book that will draw on your heart strings while at the same time will twists your emotions all over the place. I was drawn into this book from the very start and could not put it down. In the end you will have your heart strings tugged on and will have tears in your eyes pulled along with laughter and smiles.

The story is full of romance and passion. The characters are easy to like and connect with. The chemistry between Bear and Crystal is steamy and explosive. You can’t help but fall in love with the characters in the book. The love between the Whiskey family with the teasing and fun added to the story.

This was another book from Melissa Foster that was hard to put down. Melissa is a very talented author that tells fabulous stories that captivate you and keep your attention from the first page to the last page. Definitely an author that you will want to keep on your go-to list. If you enjoy reading a steamy book with lots of sex, then you will enjoy this book. A truly fascinating inspiring read.

I really enjoyed this audio book. The characters were interesting. Bear is a guy who has stepped up to run the family bar and kind of left his dreams behind. He's had a thing for the main female character, Crystal, for some time. Crystal has been determined to keep things at the friendship level. I found it really cute that in trying to wear down her defenses, Bear kept texting Crystal with nothing but his name.In finally coming together, the two help and support each other in going for their dreams.
Bear won a lot of points with me. Not only was he supportive, but he was extremely patient with the sex side of things when he discovered that Crystal had some major issues with having sex. He also was bound and determined that his sister be given the right to run the family bar and not be overlooked just because she's a woman (there's more to that story). He is also very protective, which I really love! His skills in the bedroom weren't anything to sneer at, either. Yowza!
Overall, this was just a great listen!

Wow what a awesome read this was. Melissa Foster has done a great job with this story. A home run. It was an enjoyable read and I couldn't put it down the moment that I got this book.

I really loved Bear. He was a wonderful character. He was sweet, sexy, patient, kind. Everything that a girl could ask for. I loved how Melissa wrote his character.

Crystal at times I was not happy with her but then there were times that I felt sorry for her because of her past. At the end I did end up liking her.

I really loved how Melissa captured the emotions with the character you could feel them right with Crystal with her past. She written it very well. A fantastic read that you don't want to miss out on.

I am eagerly waiting for more. I hope you pick this book up. I highly recommend it.

I volntarly received a ARC of this book from BeckVelly Book Tours to give a honest review. All reviews are 100% my own.

Truly, Madly, Whiskey is the newest release from one of my favorite authors: Melissa Foster. Romance novels are everywhere and most of them leave me thinking, 'eh, I should have taken a bath instead.' But not Melissa Foster! Her novels have a way of grabbing me and making me wish I was 15 years younger and single again.

In Truly, Madly, Whiskey we meet a young woman in the midst of reinventing herself yet again. Life seems to have a thing for knocking her on her butt, but she doesn't let that keep her down long. Crystal Moon is a trooper. She has had a fairly rough life since her dad past away during her childhood. An out of touch mom, a brother in and out of trouble, and then college--oh my, what an experience!

Bear Whiskey is not a man to be messed with. Big burley biker dude is the perfect description for him and Crystal isn't sure she wants anything to do with him. But, he is persistent.

Camaraderie, honor, respect, family and love are the combined soul of this beautiful, emotional and passionate story. The family values fly off the pages and take hold of your heart. I easily became engaged into Crystal and Bear's life in Truly, Madly, Whiskey and of all those around them, the whole biker community along with the Dark Knights was a great back story too.

They say to never judge a person on first appearances and that is so true with those Whiskey brothers and the biking community as a whole. Burrowed deep within Crystal are the memories that her normal secure childhood had changed to uncertainty, grief, and emotional upheaval, she pushes on with life but she has built a wall around herself so nothing would hurt her again even though her heart might tell her differently. The way Bear continued to push on with the tiny hope he carried of a relationship with Crystal, unwilling to give up until she succumbed, definitely pulled on my heart. Was Bear the one to break her wall down?

I enjoyed watching their relationship unfold, laughing throughout the book at the fun banter between them. Again little Kennedy stole my heart, with her cute innocent remarks. One character I am so looking forward to reading more on is Dixie, I'm hoping that she has her own book although I feel sorry for any love interest she may have with those protective biker brothers around.1

And OMG the ending!! Can't say anymore, you will just have to read it to find out.

Paul Woodson has once again does a wonderful job narrating this second book in The Whiskeys series. I enjoy both his male and female voices and he conveys the character’s emotions very well.

TRULY, MADLY, WHISKEY was agreeable for the most part but it’s not as engaging a story as I hoped. There is very little action, which is not always a requirement, but I do expect a deep dive into characterisation in exchange and I feel this was lacking. The revelations that are meant to create tension and action within the book are mainly for the benefit of the main characters. We readers have already been told the back story and for us, it’s just a countdown until the reveal.

I liked Bear. I found him to be the most interesting character, especially the dynamics between him and his family, but I have to admit there’s a part of me that does not understand his overwhelming attraction and devotion to Crystal.

Another amazing story by Melissa Foster! Each of her series pulls me in as soon as I open the book, although they're part of a series each story can be read as standalone and can be read in any order. Within the series each story has its own couple, but they all interconnect, which means you just have to read them ALL!! This is Bear and Crystal story, and oh boy what a steamy and emotional story it is. I cried, but laughed even more. The love throughout this story is amazing, who can resist a kitten, a toddler and the cutest little girl ever. Every couple deserve their own HEA. To find our how much willingness, commitment, willpower, love, confidence and determination there is within this story you'll have top read TRULY, MADLY, WHISKEY. I loved it and although I haven't read River of Love or Tru Blue yet, I WILL BE!! I also cannot wait for Bullet, Bones & Dixie's stories, Melissa is awesome. I have not been disappointed by anything of hers I've read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via Tasty Book Tours for an honest blog tour review. Due to sexual situations, this book is recommended for readers 16 and older.
Favorite Passages ~
~ He had the reputation of a snake, and he wasn’t going anywhere near Bear’s sister’s grass.
~ “They say orchids are symbols of love and affection,” he said softly. “And the harder they are to find, the more love and affection they hold. When you put all these magnificent beauties together, you get the most unique flower on earth.”
~ “You give me strength, Bear, the way you believe in me. Thank you, and thank you for being here for me.”
~ Love, loyalty, and respect for all runs as thick as blood through their veins. A blessing and a curse.

Want More Whiskeys? Each of the Whiskey siblings (Bullet, Bones, and Dixie) will be featured in their own fun, sexy novels. Sign up for Melissa’s newsletter to be notified of the next Whiskey release. While all may be enjoyed as part of their larger series, every book is written as a stand-alone novel and you can jump in any time without missing a beat. The Whiskeys were first introduced in RIVER OF LOVE and we learned more about them in TRU BLUE.

What a sweet, sexy, emotional read! I was completely enthralled with the book and with Bear and Crystal from the very beginning. Bear has been waiting a long time to make Crystal his, and just when he thinks he’s making progress, she pulls back. But, that won’t stop Bear once he has made his mind up. What he doesn’t know is Crystal will have to face her painful past if he has any hopes of making himself a part of her future.
Both Crystal and Bear were complex characters. On the surface, they appear to be something else entirely than what they truly are…deep down. At first glance, Bear looks like an intimidating, sexy, smooth talking womanizer. That is so far from who he really is. Yes, he’s totally sexy and could talk any woman into dropping her panties with just his hello, but OMG, this man has the best heart. He loves children, his friends, and family. He’s loyal, and he’s responsible, taking over many responsibilities for his family after his father suffered a stroke. I LOVED the fact that once he made up his mind, there was no changing it. Luckily for Crystal, that means making her his!!!!

Crystal puts on a façade that she wants people to believe. She’s comes across as this sexy, independent, and “experienced” woman. As with Bear, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Yes, she’s independent and tough. But, she had to adopt this attitude to survive. In her mind, that is why she has to continue pushing Bear away. He awakens things in her she hasn’t felt in a long time, but he also awakens some dark things from her past that she is afraid if she lets in will completely destroy her. She also doesn’t want to lose Bear’s friendship. He’s been a huge support to her even though he doesn’t necessarily realize how much.

The chemistry between these two was off the charts HOT! What I loved most was Bear’s patience. He knows just how far to push. Their relationship is a slow, hot burn, but once the inevitable happens, it was so worth the wait!!!!

I have plenty of Melissa Foster’s books on my Kindle, but I’m so mad at myself for waiting this long to read something by her. She’s amazing! I love her writing. She made me feel like I was a part of this wonderful group of people. This book was so much more than hot chemistry and romance. It was a somewhat of a fairytale for Crystal. She endured some very dark and painful times, and her prince, Bear, showed up to show her a different life filled with love and loyalty was possible. He gave her the HEA she so richly deserved! I cannot wait for the next book in the series!

3.75 stars--TRULY, MADLY, WHISKEY by Melissa Foster is a contemporary, adult, stand alone romantic story line focusing on biker/mechanic Robert ‘Bear’ Whiskey, and costume designer Crystal Moon. We were previously introduced to Bear and the Whisky family in River of Love (The Bradens), and Crystal in Foster’s TRU BLUE (Tru and Gemma’s story line). Bear and Crystal’s story line begins in Tru Blue. Several familiar characters and names cross over from previous novels and series for cohesion.

Told from dual third person points of view (Bear and Crystal) TRULY, MADLY, WHISKEY focuses on the developing relationship between biker / mechanic Bear Whiskey, and designer Crystal Moon. For close to eight months Bear has waited patiently for Crystal to realize they were meant to be but something in Crystal’s past kept our heroine from reaching to the man that called to her heart. What ensues is Bear’s ongoing seduction of Crystal Moon, and Crystal’s struggle to let go of the past.

Bear’s patience is beyond reproach. He is a big, battered and tattooed biker with a softer side where it concerns his family, friends and the woman with whom he is falling in love but there are dark demons in Crystal’s past that control so many aspects of her present and future. As Crystal struggles to step out of her comfort zone, Bear’s overwhelming need to protect and claim Crystal becomes his number one priority. An offer from an unlikely source has Bear contemplating both his and Crystal’s future –a future of which Bear battles his devotion to his family and the businesses they own. Meanwhile the Whiskey family becomes embroiled in turmoil when one of their own is willing to step down and let another family member take his place at the family run Whiskey Bro’s biker bar.

We are introduced to Bear’s extended and tight-knit family-a family that founded the Dark Knights MC, Whiskey Bro’s bar, and Whiskey Automotive: his brothers Bones (a physician by day and a biker by night), and former soldier/ Special Forces veteran Bullet, their long-suffering sister Dixie, and his parents Biggs and Wren (Red) Whiskey, as well as Bear’s best friend Truman, Gemma and Tru’s brothers and sister, Quincy, Lincoln and Kennedy. Kennedy’s innocent, child-like language is endearing and cute. Crystal’s brother Jed battles too many demons but he too, is on the road to recovery with the help of the Whiskey family and Truman’s brother Quincy.

The world building focuses on the building relationship between Crystal and Bear but also on family, friendships and demons from the past. Crystal’s wishy/washy inability to commit controls a major portion of the story line conflict; and the preparations for Truman and Gemma’s upcoming nuptials allows for some humorous moments in relief. Each of the Whiskey siblings (Bullet, Bones and Dixie) will be featured in their own story line. I hope for a happily ever after for Jed Moon, as well.

TRULY, MADLY, WHISKEY is a heartwarming story of romance with a realistic and genuine look at family and friendships, betrayal and revenge, romance and love. The premise captivating and compelling; the characters are passionate and warm; the romance is tender and affectionate without the use of sexually graphic, over the top language and text. I did have some issues with Crystal’s inability to commit, to let go, and to trust but under the circumstances everyone’s reactions would be different, and time does not necessarily heal all wounds.

**Warning: maybe some minor spoilers ahead**

Bear Whiskey is just about perfect. He's strong, caring, protective, sensitive, loyal, sexy ... I could go on and on, but I don't want to ruin him for you ;) His only flaw that I could find is he may be a little too dedicated to his family. He's got dreams that he's put on hold because of his father's stroke and he's taken on a lot of responsibilities over the years. The man just doesn't slow down! But now he's got a chance with the woman he's been pursuing for almost a year AND an opportunity to design motorcycles for a premier company. He just can't figure out how to work it in with everything else. His devotion to those he loves and his strong sense of responsibility is definitely not a problem, it just is making it hard for him to find a time to put his needs first. Especially now that Crystal has stopped pushing him away.

Crystal had a pretty rough childhood and she finally manages to get away to college, only to be raped at a party. A little broken, she heads home again to try to pull herself together again. It's taken her quite a few years (and some serious reinventing of herself) to get where she's finally feeling steady enough to actually do something about the intense pull she has towards Bear. It's a pretty emotional journey - getting herself back on her feet and finding a way to tell those closest to her what happened. She's strong for figuring out how to get help and make her way through it all. And with her friends and a good man by her side, things are looking really good.

While Bear is not quite a Tru, Foster once again proves that she can create some amazingly addictive characters. I loved him, and Crystal, from page one. Not just their interactions together, which are funny and sexy and full of so much understanding & love, but with their friends and family. Because Truly, Madly, Whiskey isn't just a romance, but it is about love for friends, family and those you call yours. This group is so amazingly supportive of those in their sphere and they don't hesitate to offer support of any kind when it is needed. Their little circle keeps getting bigger and better every year, and they keep proving what awesome people they are. It gives you such a happy feeling to see them pull together like that ... but they are also family though so they aren't afraid to give each other a little hell now and again :)

(Although this does continue the stories of people we met in Tru Blue, it can easily stand on its own ... but if you want some serious feels make sure you pick it up once you finish this one. I dare you not to fall in love with this amazing group of people!)

After reading and loving Tru Blue, I was so excited to see that their best friends would get their happily ever after. Truly, Madly, Whiskey was everything I wanted and more. A sweet story with two amazing characters and a hero, Bear Whiskey, that will make you drunk on love.
Bear has wanted Crystal from the first time he has seen her but the snarky girl resists his flirty ways. She might have denied him for months but he sees in her eyes that she wants to fight for her, so he will battle for her love.
Crystal wants the big bad biker but her walls are up, so she can protect herself. Having being hurt in her past, she is afraid to trust the arrogant man but there is something about the pushy man that makes her want to give in.
Bear might appear playful but he is a man funny, reliable and generous as a friend. Slowly, he builds a friendship with Crystal and shows her that he can give him her heart and he will treasure it. He might have an intimidating image as a biker but the man is the perfect boyfriend. He is gentle and kind with her and he allows her to takes the reins in their relationship. He is respectful and I love how sweet and loyal he is to everyone. He is one of the most loving heroes I have read.
Crystal on the other hand is a girl with a spark of rebellion and stubborn, but behind the confident image there is a woman hurt with a sensitive side. She is sassy and sharp but also vulnerable. I love that she chooses to see the good in Bear and not let her past define her. She is strong and challenges him.
This story is relied on their journey of their love. They build slowly but steadily their relationship and their initial attraction turns into a meaningful bond. They become one and they are so cute and adorable. Their everyday life is full of ordinary moments that get them closer and there is not unnecessary drama. They support each other and although their sexy times come slower, their connection is burning with attraction. I love their slow burn romance.
As always with this author' s books, we see many great secondary characters and I cannot wait to read their own stories. It's great seeing that all of them are united and work as a close family and they are there to support the couple.
I am truly, madly in love with this world of great characters and I am excited to read more fantastic books like this!

Looking for an Alpha Man? Look no further because Robert “Bear” Whiskey is all that and then some!!!
He may be everything you would normally expect from the genius that as Melissa Foster but oh no, Ms Foster outdid herself this time because this tattoo biker is a whole lot more than a handsome, edgy hero. Yes, he is headstrong and stubborn but that pales into insignificance when his other side comes to the fore, the guy that is willing to put his passion on the back burner while he makes sure that everything that he can possibly do for his family is done.
Bear was creative, his heart lay in designing custom bikes, and it was that creativity that I think spoke to costume designer Crystal. And while to some I suppose they may have appeared to be a bit of an odd couple, I thought they worked, they balanced each other out, well at least as friends they did but Bear was ready to step things up to a new level, the issue was that Crystal seemed to be happy with what they had.
And I have to say that I understood why, her career as a designer was on the up and she had worked hard to establish herself, it wasn’t as if she didn’t want Bear, she just didn’t know how to have it all, so Bear did what he did best, he put her first and stepped back to wait until she was ready to see that what they had was the real McCoy.
Bear knew there was more to her than he already knew but he also knew that he would have to wait to hear the whole story but boy what a story it was, the death of her father had a profound effect on her and with other family issue and further upheaval at college, she was a complicated creature. But she hit the jackpot with Bear because he was prepared to listen, to be led by her in every department give her the space and time she needed. By the time everything was laid bare, she was a woman that I just wanted to hug.
A beautifully choreographed journey between two fantastic characters that will make sure that you feel every single emotion, I was initially entranced by the evolution of their friends to lover’s relationship but for me this wasn’t about the destination it was the complexity of the journey that blew my mind…a very special story about two very special people by one very special author.
Loved it!!

4.5 "Bear" stars

Truly, Madly, Whiskey by Melissa Foster was a touching and heartfelt read, and I loved it.

The storyline is well written, my interest was held all throughout the book and all the characters added to my overall enjoyment.

After reading Tru Blue I was left wanting more of Bear and Crystal. These two had a special something that needed to be explored.
I'm so happy author Melissa Foster gave us their story in Truly, Madly, Whiskey.

Bear and Crystal were wonderful, passionate and endearing characters that I easily connected with. I loved watching their relationship develop and move from friends to lovers.
They truly belong together, the connection between them was strong and the chemistry was off the charts.

My heart ached for Crystal, she puts up this harda** front but underneath is a sensitive girl who's been hurt in the past and struggling with giving into the strong feelings Bear brings out in her.
Bear was the perfect man for Crystal. He was sensitive, caring, passionate, understanding, patient and would do anything for her.
I fell hard for him, and he made my heart swoon with the way he loved Crystal.
For me Bear was the total package. And did I mention how sexy/hot he was watching him with Harley their little kitten?

I also want to add how much I enjoyed revisiting Tru, Gemma and the kids. Tru Blue was one of my fav 2016 reads so being with them again made me a very happy girl. Both books are standalones, you do get to see the characters in both books and I highly recommend them.

I was truly touched with Bear and Crystal story, it warmed my heart watching these two souls coming together and finding eternal love.
And for me, the epilogue was just perfection, I may have cried a few happy tears for them all.
A perfect ending to this heartfelt read.

Overall, Truly, Madly, Whiskey is a beautiful and emotional read about two people who have a deep, strong connection that find comfort, support and unconditional love.

Author Melissa Foster has indicated each of the Whiskey siblings, Bullet, Bones and Dixie will be featured in their own novels in the near future. I can't wait! Those brooding brothers need to find their forever love and I'm very curious to see who will be man enough to win Dixie's heart ;)

Bear Whiskey is hands down my favorite Melissa Foster alpha hero! I wasn’t too sure if the tattooed biker character in the author’s novel Truly, Madly Whiskey was going to appeal me but the strong, compassionate, family -oriented man quickly won me over. Bear is at a crossroads with regards to his career. He is working at his family’s bar several nights a week as well as full- time at the family’s auto repair shop. His passion is to create custom motorcycles, but he feels torn between his dreams and his obligations to his family and their businesses.
Bear and costume designer Crystal Moon have been friends for eight months. He wants to move their relationship forward but, Crystal is hesitating. Crystal’s career as a designer is finally taking off and she’s not sure if she has time for a committed relationship. Bear realizes that Crystal is the woman he’s been waiting for and decides to give her space.
I loved the symbolism in the character’s names. The name Bear fits the larger than life, kind, protective, character of Robert Whiskey. Crystal is a survivor and she has changed her name from Christine to Chrissy to Crystal as she has overcome several major life changing events. She has dealt the death of her father, embarrassing family situations with her mother and brother and overcame a nightmarish issue while away at college.
Bear senses that there is more to Crystal’s story and I liked that he listened to her and didn’t push her physically or emotionally. It also took me awhile to warm up to Crystal and I wondered if she was going to let Bear be a part of her life. Enjoyed how the author let Crystal’s story play out piece by piece as her relationship with Bear changed from friends to lovers. I finally understood what shaped her character as I read her very emotional, heart breaking story.
Bear and Crystal’s story is a contemporary twist on the friends- to- lovers romance. Their slow emotional dance captivated me from page one of the book! Truly, Madly Whiskey is a passionate story between two characters who are trying to find their way through life. The fast-paced novel made me laugh, smile and cry as the Bear and Crystal slowly learn to sort out career and family obligations while falling truly, madly in love with each other. Kudos to Melissa Foster for dealing with several tough social issues and for providing such a surprise ending for Bear and Crystal—it was PERFECT!

A Melissa Foster book for me is like staring into the clearest water and seeing the universe under the sea, so clearly, it almost makes my eyes water. It is like I can see right through every single character. Well, at least I imagine that I see them clearly. Please don't correct me if I'm wrong.

Take for instance Crystal and Bear's story. It's no surprise that it is a love story. It's actually a breathtakingly well-written love story, but this love story has more than one layer. It's not only a love story between a man and a woman, but it's also a love story about family. It's about given and not alway expecting to get anything in return, and it's about loyalty. It's about when loyalty is so big it clouds over your own needs.

Bear have been circling Crystal for several months. He is so attracted to her, and he can't get her out of his mind. Crystal, struggling with a lot of darkness, is attracted to Bear too, but she is afraid to act on the attraction. Finally, he breaks through the walls she has raised around herself, and she slowly begins to let him in.

Bear is just the most protective, caring and devoted hero. He is utterly unselfish, loyal and bighearted. But sometimes being loyal and bighearted makes you put aside your own needs, and you end up wondering about a lot of what if's.
Crystal has been hiding her true self for many years. Afraid of what would happen if she showed the world who she really was. But surrounded by people who loves her, she discovers that nothing from her dark past can destroy the love and devotion they feel for her.

This book left me feeling warm and fuzzy all over, and I truly adored it. I loved the small peeks we got of Truman and Gemma and the kids. By letting us crawl under Crystal and Bear's skin, we discover that there is so much more to these two characters than we saw when we first met them in Truman and Gemma's story.

This book can easily be read as a stand alone.

Thanks to the author for this lovely advanced copy.

Truly Madly Whiskey is the latest stand-alone novel from Melissa Foster. However, if you’ve read Tru Blue, then you’ll be a little familiar with the characters in this story. Truly Madly Whiskey follows the story of Crystal and Bear. Bear has known from the moment that he laid eyes on Crystal, that he just had to have her. So, for the past eight months Bear had endured Crystal’s denial of the chemistry between the two of them. But, he didn’t let that denial stop him. Nope. If anything her denial only fueled him. Bear knew that what he felt for Crystal was real and he didn’t give up on her no matter how much she pushed him away…Crystal won’t admit it anyone, but Bear has been on her mind, starring in her nightly dreams. He’s sexy. He’s loyal. He is relentless in his pursuit of Crystal. And just when Crystal thinks she’s got a handle on her crazy life, things with Bear spiral out of control, leading to an unavoidable, undeniable connection. Their passion is intense and the road to HEA won’t be an easy one….

I found this to be a really enjoyable read. I thought the characters were a lot of fun and appreciated how real both Bear and Crystal were. Crystal had a lot of personal demons to fight thanks to her family life. But, that didn’t deter Bear at all. I really enjoyed how persistent he was. Most guys would have given up, but Bear knew that Crystal would be worth the fight. And Bear….he had his own demons he was battling. The biggest one: His future. So, the road to HEA for these two was definitely not an easy one. They both had issues and really had to fight for the ending they wanted. In the end, the pull between them would prove to be too strong. When the two of them finally give in to the fire burning between the two of them, they truly steam up the pages together. And that connection, that love they share…It made the fight so worth it.

"She was crazy. Crazy for Bear Whiskey. "

Melissa Foster has certainly become of my #OneClick read recommendations! The half dozen or so novels that I've read have been great reading and left me feeling, well all the feels. Complete with a sexy & swoon worthy hero, a spunky but slightly damaged heroine, and a supportive circle of friends and family, Truly, Madly , Whiskey is another wonderful example of a Melissa Foster heartfelt romance.

There are few hero's that come to close to the big and lovable personality of Bear Whiskey. In Bear Foster creates another strong, sensitive and noble Alpha male. Truman ( Tru Blue
~ My review ) made me feel this way too. But Bear's standout qualities include a tenacity and patience that is simply unparalleled and utterly breathtaking. His virility makes him sexy, but it’s the way he treats Crystal that makes him the hero to adore. His devotion to Crystal absolutely melted me and watching her come around, well therein lies the story.

Crystal has certainly gone through a lot in her young life. She is challenged to just be herself, if only she knew how to get comfortable in her own skin. Her truth is that she experienced some heartbreaking moments in life so she’s motivated by a need to be in control. Issues with trust and intimacy have worn her down so it’s simply glorious to see her let Bear in. What a boon for her, cause if there is one man who can handle Crystal, it's Bear.

“..then you came into my life,” she said swift and soft. “Like a dragon-slaying prince on a mission , scooping up everyone’s broken pieces and putting them back together again. You make me want things I long ago stopped hoping for, or even thinking about,…”

Once their relationship transforms, it's just WOW! There's much humor, witty banter, and references to "bear caves" and "honeypots" that had me giggling like a schoolgirl.

Once again Melissa Foster gave me a perfect read. It’s romantic, angst filled, sexy and funny. As friends to lovers’ stories go, this is one of my favorites. Another 5++ star read from Melissa Foster and one I highly recommend.

Oye how I love Melissa Foster stories! This one was no different – well, it was because it was different characters and a different storyline, but it was absolutely amazing.

The men in Melissa’s story are always these handsome, sexy studs but many of them have these huge hearts. What I would give for my husband to have a quarter of Bear in him when it comes to his caring side. Bear is such a big hearted, caring, protective man – I love it.

Crystal and I could relate a lot and I adored her as well. I loved seeing their romance blossom into so much more.

In reality, all of Melissa’s books are stand alones. She always gives eough information to fill you in, but I promise you – you will want to read every book of hers you can get your hands on!

And I may have to agree that Bear is my new favorite leading man!

I really liked this book once I got past Crystal Moon's mysterious college past that lead her down a different path then the one she set out for herself. Quite frankly, Bear Whiskey was the book's saving grace because you could just feel his energy in every scene he was in or even mentioned in and you wanted to turn the page and find him again. And why not? Bear is there when you need him. He is a tattooed, bar and mechanic shop owner and biker, but not just any kind of rough-and-tumble biker. The biker gang he's apart of, The Dark Knights Motorcycle Club, was founded by his great-grandfather and his father was now the president. Even though they were big and bad-looking, they are advocates for the weak and abide by their brotherhood creed: 'Love, loyalty, and respect for all'. But Bear has been drawn to Crystal and her hard-as-nails facade since she has been in Peaceful Harbor, Maryland. From the begining, Bear has claimed Crystal as his and he loves the glimpses of the 'real Crystal' that he sees when she allows him to see them. But it's apparent to Bear that Crystal needs him and he's not going anywhere nor will he let her go.
Even though the book is about Bear and Crystal's love story, I also enjoyed the supporting characters and their depth that made the city of Peaceful Harbor, Maryland so great. I hope Melissa Foster expands on this new group of characters in this city.

TRULY, MADLY, WHISKEY claims to be a standalone and while I do think the events work well on their own, Foster always likes to mention other characters from her other books. It’s almost like a promotional tactic to get you to read her other books. So that being said, you will encounter some references from TRU BLUE, one of her other standalone titles.

I would say in terms of style this one follows the same tone as TRU BLUE. It’s definitely more grittier and darker, exploring characters that aren’t as polished or well-off as some of Foster’s other characters. The heroine, Crystal, wasn’t one of my favorites of this author’s stories. I found that I didn’t connect with her as much as thought I would. Thankfully, Bear was there to save the book.

I love all of Foster’s heroes. Although they are all sexy, they are all very different from each other. Bear has always had the hots for Crystal but she likes to keep him at arm’s length so perhaps that’s why I didn’t fall for Crystal as quickly. She keeps people away from her too much. It took be a while to warm up to the story, but by the end, I was really convinced with the romance. I like that Foster takes her time and really focuses on the romance of the story. Despite external conflicts, the romance shines.

Truly, Madly, Whiskey
By: Melissa Foster

4.5 Star Review by Kristie K

Melissa Foster delivers another amazing novel featuring characters with love, loyalty, heart, and so much soul…

A follow-up to Tru Blue; Truly, Madly, Whiskey follows the unforgettable Bear Whiskey and his tireless pursuit of the indomitable Crystal Moon. You could feel their mutual attraction, and off the charts chemistry in Tru Blue, but it explodes even hotter. Each one has their own challenges to overcome, and watching them do so both warms and breaks your heart.

With every book I read, I become an even bigger fan of Ms. Foster’s work. She weaves a story, keeping it fresh, fun, and seductive. I loved everything about this book (especially Bear Whiskey himself). It has a gorgeous “5 stars of hotness” cover, a truly captivating blurb that seduces you with its clever intimation, and a story within that is worthy of the highest praise. The character development is on point, with each character their own and a depth that makes your heart sing. The plot and storyline are intuitive and proficient, and executed wonderfully. This book is a definite “must read”, and holds a special place on my kindle bookshelf.

Bearded, tattooed, biker Bear is not my style, usually. Bear in Truly, Madly, Whiskey is entirely my style. This is a good reminder to not judge a person by their looks because looks can be deceiving. Bear is a tough, alpha male but he has the absolute biggest heart EVER! When it is decided that you are important to him there is nothing you can do to stop him from taking care of you, loving you, and protecting you.

Melissa Foster takes her readers on a rollercoaster of emotions with Bear and Crystal. Crystal can deny her feelings all she wants but there is no doubt to anyone else that these two belong together and nothing will keep them apart. Crystal has a ton of issues to work through but Bear has no fear that nothing that she is dealing with can turn him off of her. Bear has a few things happening in his life also. He has to decide what his future will hold and how he will get to where he wants to be in his career.

There are so many other amazing characters that I am anxious to know more about. Bones, Bullet, and Dixie are all siblings of Bear that I am sure will have their own stories to tell. I am excited for this set of characters to continue.

I definitely recommend picking up your own copy ASAP.

5 Truly, Madly Stars!!! Another phenomenal book by Melissa Foster, I’m hooked!!

I swear everytime I read a Melissa Foster book, I swear that one is my favorite! But after reading Truly, Madly, Whiskey… I will say with all certainty this one is my FAVORITE!!! There’s so much steam, heat and pure love in this book! I fell for Bear the second he walked across the pages. He’s a fierce man with so much heart, it’s hard not to love him.

Bear has been pining for Crystal for months, and he’s been waiting for his chance to grab her and claim her as his, but he refuses to give up…. No matter how long he has to wait. While he’s always there for her, she’s not ready to be with Bear… she has issues she needs to get over before she can actually settle down and give her heart over to Bear. But when she does… Hold on, because it’s hot!

Melissa Foster is an amazing author, and I will read anything she puts out! Each book is different but you can feel the heart in each story and that’s why I fall in love! But don’t take my word for it… go one click this book ASAP!

Phew! Hot & Exciting! Sarcasm & Snark! I really loved the interactions between Crystal & Bear. He was confident enough to not be put off by her attitude & she could see below his attitude & tattoos. This book was a typical Melissa Foster story with the emotional journey that both characters have to go on to develop themselves in order to grow together. I feel it also enforces the idea that "you can't judge a book by its cover" & "first impressions are not always correct". Bear & the rest of the Whiskey clan are tattooed, black leather & chains wearing, muscular motorcycle hunks. They are strong & tough. What their appearances don't let you know is that they are also tender, loyal, loving, vulnerable & extremely protective. Bear has watched over Crystal for months. The motorcycle club is not a group you would think would protect kids that are bullied but yet it fits. It's just another layer to dig under. Crystal projection this tough, sarcastic image but as you get to know her, you see the vulnerable, soft, hurt side of her & the bravery she exhibits to get past it instead of giving up.

This is definitely one of my favorite books by Melissa Foster. The emotion & vulnerability were so well defined. I can't wait for the next book!

Crystal has this tough girl exterior but deep down it's furthest from the truth. Once her secret for why she is the way she is revealed you can't help but want to hug her and tell her everything will be ok. Crystal has lived her life a certain way for so long and when Bear comes into the picture everything changes.

Bear is the glue that has been keeping his family together for the longest time. Bear has given up his dreams so everyone can have theirs. But what about his dreams and aspirations? I loved how selfless Bear was in this story. He gave up a lot for his family just so they could be happy and put his happiness on the back burner. I also loved his devotion to Crystal. Not too many guys would stick around after Crystals secret was revealed. His love for her never wavered and it was so sweet to read.

I've been looking forward to this book after reading “Tru Blue”. I'm so happy to report that I wasn't disappointed and Melissa Foster was once again able to suck me in. I enjoyed catching up with Tru, Gemma, and their adorable kids Kennedy and Lincoln. It was also nice to have more backstory on the other Whiskey siblings and I look forward to reading their books as well.

Stars 5 fantastic stars

We Finally get Bear's story and boy was it worth the wait. Truly Madly Whiskey is Bear and Crystal's story and you will absolutely fall in love with them. You get a glimpse of them in Tru Blue and I patiently waited to get more. I love Bear and how he just goes after what he wants. Crystal is a little skittish due to a past she is trying to move past. With Bears help she does. It's hard to write this review without giving away the story since I so want to just spill the beans, but then you wouldn't get the experience I did. Melissa Foster definitely knows how to spin a tale and keep you flipping the pages (or in my case swiping left). I have read every book Melissa Foster has released in the past 2 years maybe longer and this one is my favorite, I don't think Melissa will be able to top this one. I hope she does but I just don't know. I hope it's released on audio too (hint hint). Thank you so much for writing another fantastic story that touches every emotion. Once again you have hit it out of the park and I look forward to more stories about the Whiskey family and I hope you write more about Bear and Crystal. Go one click and get to reading another awesome book by Melissa Foster.

And this is another great book by Melissa Foster, she is fast becoming one of my favourite one click authors to read. After reading Tru Blue I wanted to know more about Bear Whiskey and dam he is one hot sexy mysterious guy. Bear has had the hots for Chrystal for the past 8 months but she keeps him at arms length on the romantic side but they are the best of friends. Crystal Moon is an interesting character, she seems tough and sexy and has a sassy mouth but on the inside it’s a totally different story. Events in Crystal’s past have changed her and turned her into the person she is today. The more Bear persues her the more interesting this book becomes. Crystal works at the store with Gemma (who we met in Tru Blue) and she’s a very talented designer. She makes and designs costumes that they were in the store for the childrens parties. Crystal thinks her “new” life is totally under control until Bear pushes more and more of her buttons. These guys have their ups and downs and there are twists and turns and who doesn’t love a story with a cut little kitten in it. This was another great story and I can’t wait to read more about the Whisky Brothers in the future.

Truly, Madly, Whiskey is a great addition to the Whiskey series. I've been wanting to know more about Crystal and Bear since Tru Blue. I really like how their story turned out.

The settings are well described and create a vivid image in the reader's mind with lovable characters. The characters are almost too loyal to their families for their own good.

Crystal is a very independent and sassy woman, yet there is so much more about Crystal than what meets the eye. Crystal has dealt with a lot in her life, and I am so pleased with the way she opens up and deals with her past.

Bear is my favorite in this story. He's a very loyal, patient, and caring man. He's also very determined when it comes to the things he wants most. I would love to have someone like Bear in my life.

Bear's family is fantastic in this story as well. So many different personalities that help make each member of the family stand out. I can hardly wait for the next story in the Whiskey series.

I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

Hot, hot, HOT read! Melissa Foster has become one of my favorite go-to authors, she has a way of weaving a story that will have you unable to put the book down until the very end!

Bear and Crystal have crazy chemistry and Bear knows that Crystal is the woman for him from page one but Crystal has had a rough past and it’s going to take a lot to talk her into giving him a chance. Crystal didn’t grow up with the family that Bear did and learning to trust is her biggest feat to overcome. Bear won’t let Crystal get away and spends every day working to prove that he’s in it for the long haul, their story is just so sweet!

I can’t say enough how much I love both Bear and Crystal’s characters. Bear is an overprotective, sometimes overbearing, alpha, sweetheart! While Crystal is his perfect balance with her snarky attitude and quick witted responses. I really didn’t think that this couple would be able to compete with my love of Gemma and Tru but they definitely do – I love the entire Whiskey family and can’t wait for more from them!

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

It 's a pleasant and very passionate reading with a cast of characters really adorable. There is a love story very intense and a bit different from the usual where a man tries in every way to seduce a woman. Will he succeed?
Crystal lives happily in Peaceful Harbor and can pretend that the life in her hometown never existed. She comes home only once a month, her mother and her brother live in the back of a van, he has problems with the law and she with alcohol, her father passed away some years ago. Crystal has a very insistent suitor, Bear. She has knew him a night out with her friend Gemma and since then he tries to seduce her but she does not give in.
The life of Crystal is very complicated, she must try to overcome her past and let go to the special court of Bear. He is very charming and sexy, a tattooed rider, a real alpha male but can also be tender and affectionate. Their dialogues are really fun and the chemistry between them is really hot.
Although it is a standalone book, some of these characters we have known in the book "Tru Blue", we hope that there are other stories with these incredible characters.
