Since I've always enjoyed Joanne Fluke's books and their recipes, I thought buying a bundle would be ideal. The books aren't in order and this makes it difficult to read them in the proper order. If books were in proper order, I could give this 5 stars. Buy the books separately. It's worth the extra expense. I will not do this again.

On reading the reviews for other books this collection sounded as though it would be funny and light with a bit of mystery. I was extremely bored and regretted getting this set of 5 books. I have only read the first book, Apple Turnover Murder and it hasn't made me want to read any of the others anytime soon.

I bought this because I travel a lot for business and I wanted some light fare for the hours of boredom from airports/airplanes/hotels. First of all, the books aren't bundled in order. Imagine my confusion when I started book two and the events from book one hadn't yet occured. Then there is the same irritating back and forth between Mike and Norman. Hannah isn't a good enough character to make me believe that two extremely eligible bachelors would not only sit around waiting for her to choose between them, but also seem okay with her dating both of them. Irritation number two is her competitiveness with Mike (police investigator/boyfriend). She does her level best to beat him at figuring out the crime, and does so in a way that isn't particularly nice - yet another reason I find it hard to believe that he would be so in love with her. Also irritating is her feeling of superiority over her two younger sisters. Yes, we get that she helped her mother with their care when they were younger, but does she really need to go around correcting their grammar and telling them how to live their lives. Honestly, my favorite character in the books is her cat Moishe.

I loved each book individually, but wish they had put them in chronological order. It was a bit irritating to know what had was going to happen because you read the next book which was placed before the one you are currently reading. All the stories are wonderful, but are better when you read them in order.

I am really enjoying reading the Hannah Swensen series. It is a nice way to wind down a long day. The characters are fun. And the cookie recipes are mouth watering.
If you are looking for a fun mystery who done it look no further.

Sneeky putting that cover of the fudgecake book in there when it is not included. So what that you have an excerpt. You also have an excerpt of the Sugar Cookie book in there, but I dint see you including a picture of that cover. The review is for 5 stars because I love Joanna Fluke. the store gets 0 stars for there sneaky business prsctice of including a new book cover in the bundle picture.
