Rating 4.5 Stars.

One of the advantages of reviewing books is early access to new titles. I had just finished Murder Notes (Lilah Love, #1) when Murder Girl became available and I was spared a long wait for rest of the story.

Not one character in these books is sympathetic with the possible exception of Lilah's dead mother. Lilah, Kane, her brother, father, the other agents, cops and attorneys all have questionable past, alliances and motives. The complexity and unknowns are what creates the tremendous amount of suspense that had me enthralled. Generally, I want to identify with the lead female. That I didn't with Lilah and still enjoyed the books is quite a credit to Jones' storytelling.

I really enjoyed getting the answers that were so long in coming. Murder Girl was every bit as gritty and suspenseful as book one and I enjoyed it every bit as much. I was left wondering what came next for the characters, especially Lilah and Kane.

Lilah Love is still working her case - trying to prove that Kane Mendez the criminal she still loves is not guilty of murder and keeping her family out of trouble. Murder Girl picks up where Murder Notes left off and the story is even more action packed than the first book.

I dont want to give anything away just know that the story is fast paced and so detailed - all of the things we have come to expect from Lisa Renee Jones and her fantastic stories. We do get to revisit all the characters we meet in book 1 and watch as Lilah tries to solve the murder in her own backyard. All the while trying to keep her feelings and Kane at bay even though that is not what she really wants. The end is great and the set up for the next book in the series is perfect.

If you love JD Robb then you will not be disappointed with Lilah Love and Murder Notes and Murder Girl. Ms Jones does a fantastic job setting up her characters and I cant wait to spend time with Lilah and Kane in the next book.

I LOVED this 2nd installment in the Lilah Love series. Lilah + Kane are my favorite EVER and I could read about them for a hundred more books. She's in the FBI. He's a criminal AT BEST, and likely the head of a violent cartel. Their relationship is unlikely, but the fire is there.

I devoured this book in what is considered record time for me lately. I haven't been using my kindle much, but I absolutely flew through this one in no time. Have I mentioned how much I love Kane?

I think this slight change in genre is good for LRJ. I love her romances, but this Lilah Love series is a real sparkler. She'll definitely add a whole new group of fans to her base with this one because it has enough romance to keep her romance readers involved, but with the mystery side of it being so intriguing, I think she'll add a ton of people that prefer mystery over romance.

I received an advance reader copy of this book that I have chosen to review.

This book is like a runaway train racing every closer to a showdown between our intrepid heroine and a vicious and highly skilled assassin. Lilah Love is an FBI profiler up to her ears in dead bodies and chasing a highly skilled killer who leaves no evidence behind to help her flesh out a profile that will help to solve her current case. While she’s back in the Hampton’s she’s assailed with painful reminders of her mother’s death, her father’s apathy and her big brother, the Chief of Police. Add a stalker, her current love interest who follows her to town and a sexy ex-lover who will make you swoon and I promise you’ll be glued to this book from beginning to end. It’s a fast paced, smartly written conclusion to Murder Notes that paves the way to an entire series that I can’t wait to sink my teeth into. I read an early copy of this book through NetGalley and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.

Murder Girl

Murder Girl is the second book in the Lilah Love Series from Lisa Renee Jones. It’s a sexy, fast pace, and intriguing continuation of Murder Notes.
Lilah Love, a profiler for the FBI, is sent back home to New York to find a “serial killer”. The only problem, the only link is her. As a profiler she’s learned to trust no one. Except she trusts Kane. He is part of her being the link in the murders.
I truly loved reading this and want more. This series is not based around the romantic connections between Lilah and Kane even though that is part of the plot. Lilah’s profiling and intuition make her one if the strongest female characters I’ve read. It’s a nice change of pace to see a woman in this role while keeping the romantic part of the story just as a background. It’s there but not front and center. I have voluntarily read and reviewed Murder Girl. This is another must read from Lisa Renee Jones.

OMG! This story just keeps getting better and better. With so many moving parts to it and a roller coaster of a story of who everyone is in relation to what Agent Lilah Love is investigating. The plot twits and the suspense have made for a thrilling on the edge of your seat read! Hands down one of the best book I have read to date and the fact that there is more to this wonderful series will have me anxiously waiting for the next book until it arrives. The dynamic between Lilah and Kane is so intense and they have such great chemistry and understanding of one another. At times you wonder who the good guys really are and whether who you think the bad ones are may not be as clear as you think. Just when you think you as well as Lilah have it figured out, BAM! everything changes and has you wanting to know what will happen next. I am so looking forward to the next part in the story!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Second in this series and I have mixed reviews on this book. I love the characters Lilah and Kane and definitely want to read more books with these two characters especially Lilah Love BUT first book Murder Notes was much better and suspenseful then Murder Girl . I was not as captivated with this story line still going on it really could of ended half way thru the book and been a great book but because it seemed to drag on I was glad when it was over. Sadly it was just OK but like I said I would love to read more Lilah Love books with a different more thrilling story line.

I am freaking OBSESSED with Lilah F*@&ing Love! She makes you literally question everyone's motives! The friend, the brother, the ex-partner, the medical examiner, her boss? Every single person could be shady and untrustworthy. Her mind amazes me.

I am so wrapped up in this story and this mystery. It's one of those books that doesn't even give you half a puzzle piece before scattering the board again. And along with the chaos and suspense, is a forbidden love story. Lilah can't be with Kane because they are on opposite sides of the line. But there are two parts of her and he sees them more clearly than anyone.

So, by the end of Murder Girl, you have one dilemna wrapped up, and a new one set up for the next book. I'm telling you right now, this is a can't miss series. Not a stand alone, go back and read book one first. Oh and I appreciated the recap from book one at the beginning of this, very helpful.

Lilac Love has her hands full and ‘tied’. As an FBI agent her love interest is a Mafia kingpin, although he said his uncle is. He is the heir apparent, but not designate because of Lilah. Is he clean though? Her dad who is running for Governor and her brother, the police chief, may be involved with a murderous group. Who can she trust? Not her colleagues or her boss. The intrigue continues and bodies are piling up. The killer is waiting to top the body count with that of Lilah herself. Can Kane keep her safe? Can she keep herself and Kane safe?

At the end of the book, she removed a perceived threat only for another one to crop up. So, I guess we are waiting for another book. I effing hate cliffhangers, but this latest instalment is no slouch either.. The relationship between Kane and Lilah is formless right now also. Four stars for this..

I read a lot of different genres including mystery. Let me say that the Lilah Love series is straight up mystery! Plot twists galore, bodies strewn along the east and west coasts. Family as deep as they can get. Murders, suicides and executions. Throw in politics, police officers, FBI, a cartel or two, an assassin and what do you get?! An A+ mystery!!!

I didn’t know what to expect and I most definitely did not know who to trust. The chemistry and past history with Kane Mendez only adds to the chaos that is Lilah Love’s life. Past meets present. And when I say past, there is the smokin’ hot sex and maybe a buried body. ?

Murder Girl is not for the faint of heart. It is an edge of your seat, 90mph twisting ride along the edge of a mountainside. Hold on and don’t let go!! No cliff-hanger, but it’s only book two in the series so the ride is long and exciting!

Murder Girl is action-packed with drama, conflict, secrets, and suspense. Lilah is continuing to work a case for the FBI back on her home turf where she is constantly questioning the motives of everyone she comes in contact with, including her own family. There is plenty of danger as Lilah is working with her ex, who is on law enforcement's radar, to keep their secret while trying to figure out who is hunting her. The tension and chemistry is absolutely between Kane and Lilah as they continue to be drawn together despite him being off-limits for her career. Lilah is very independent, feisty, has an attitude, and she never backs down from challenging Kane when he shows his protective, alpha, and dominant side. Lisa Renee Jones does a great job in building the suspense and keeping you guessing. Murder Girl should be read after Murder Notes and I can't wait for more of Lilah and Kane.

I’ll say one this is certain...Lisa Renee Jones is a master at mystery and suspense. Murder Girl was gripping from the start and beyond.

Following FBI profiler, Lilah Love, this story picks up where book 1, Murder Notes, left off. Lilah is back in her hometown searching for a serial killer and no one is free of suspicion; except the man she’s loved for years who’s well known as having ties to a cartel.

Together they follow the clues to track down the killer and try to fit the puzzle pieces that seem to be pointing to her and the secret she shares with Kane as well as the big bass behind it all.

From beginning to end this book had me at the edge of my seat and kept me guessing. So many potent suspects, so many unanswered questions. The entire story is an addictive guessing game.

I’m SO looking forward to MORE Lilah Love mysteries.

What can I say.... I Love Lilah Love !!! Lisa Renee Jones does a magnificent job of taking the reader on a journey of murder, conspiracy and intrigue. I like the way she weaves many scenarios and suspects until you don"t have a clue who dun it. Lilah isn't the type person that endears herself to people, but as an FBI Criminal Profiler, she has a tough job to do and she does it well. Murders are beginning to pile up and all seem to have links to Lilah and possibly something very dark from her past. A killer is stalking and taunting Lilah as she comes to realize, she can't handle the situation she's in alone. A lover from the past and another from the present vie for the chance to get close to her and help figure out how to save her life. This is a well written, keep you up at night, murder mystery that is an absolute Must Read.

Having read Murder Notes, I was thrilled when I won an the store kindle giveaway of Murder Girl on Goodreads. The second installment in the Lilah Love series. Lisa Renee Jones has hit another home run with this amazing whodunit!

Lilah Love is a badass FBI profiler who keeps her friends close and her enemies closer. Dead bodies don't faze her in the least, and that's a positive in her line of work. She has an addiction to chocolate, pizza and a special someone named, Kane Mendez. Who just so happens to be her ex and is privy to her not so little secret. Their two worlds collide and as much as she's drawn to him, she still pushes him away. Unwilling to choose between the man she loves and her dream job.

I highly recommend Murder Girl to all lovers of suspense and nail biting intrigue.

What an amazing book! Murder Girl starts right where Murder Notes ends and takes you relentlessly on a twisted, suspenseful journey. As the story unfolds, it feels as if you are binge watching it on TV. The clues are varied, the suspects are multiple and Lilah still trusts no one. No one that is except Kane Mendez and that she feels is not good for her heart. The murders feel too close to her own tragic incident and that involves Kane. She left to try and keep him and their secrets buried but now someone is taunting them both. Lisa Renee Jones is brilliant at bringing a suspense story completely together, wrapping up even the smallest of details and this book is no different. Lilah is relatable and funny. Her sarcasm is spot on and her quest for the truth is fierce. I am hoping for more Lilah Love!

I literally kept guessing who is the good guy and who is the bad? When I thought I had everything straight, nope, not so much! I love when I don't figure it out too quick and I'm still going what??? at the end of the book. I got some answers to my questions but now I have more!!!

When she's trying to tell everyone what her profile on the killer is, no one is taking her seriously. She has to fight with everyone to try to get her point across.

I absolutely love mystery romance books and this one definitely fits that bill for me. I can't wait for the next book! I mean come on, who can't wait to see more of Lilah and Kane. (I have a thing for bad men who have a good heart!) When Kane and her are together they are combustible and can't wait to see more of them!!!

You need to read the first book (Murder Notes) in this series before reading this one. I liked this book and the series; however, this is not my favorite of Lisa's work. I prefer her romance/suspense work. This series has a thriller feel with romantic undertones. I do get a kick out of Lilah and her "colorful" language and I do love a "kick ass" heroine. Kane is a good match for her and the romantic in me hopes their relationship continues in the conclusion of this series. We are again left with some questions as to what is really going on here but I know Lisa will not fail us in the next book with those answers. I received an advance copy of this book from the author and publisher and this is my honest and voluntary review.

In the second installment of The murder series by Lisa Renee Jones. We find Liliah Love and Kane where we last see them. Lisa gave us a cliffhanger at the end of Murder Notes but she doesn't disappoint us when she brings us Murder Girl. Through the story we learn more history of not only Lilah but her family and Kane. This book had me wonder who it was and why until the end. The suspense, mystery, murder, and heat of this book will keep you on your toes. Even with all the suspense and drama Lisa finds away of bringing a little humor to the story. With Lilah 'hangery' moments to dealing with the heat with Kane and the love/hate with the men in her life. I've absolutely fallen for Agent Love and Kane hope there is more to come for them.

Let me just start off saying that I have devoured everything that Lisa Renee Jones has ever wrote. But this book has pushed the boundaries on her writing right into murder mystery writer. It was amazing.

If you like suspense, suspense and more suspense thrown in for god measure you'll love this book. It has hot alpha men... especially one very hot Latin ex-lover.
It is mystery personified. Every time I think I know who the killer is .. nope not him!!!

Ms. Jones's writing in this book reminds me of James Patterson. Always second guessing yourself on whodunit.
If you like murder mysteries, hot alpha men and a kick ass FBI agent with a strippers name (lol) you'll really enjoy this book.

This is the second book in the Lilah Love series. Holy moly it was so good. Full of suspense and twist and turns. It held me captive the entire time. Trying to figure out the assassin and all the mystery’s. I love Lilah so much!!!! She continues her search for her serial killer and who is leaving her notes. As her search deepens and more things being revealed it just pulls me In more and more. When she finally admits she needs Kane’s help and only he can she trust the two become a powerhouse. After a quick debriefing from the author the story picks up right where the first book left off! We follow Lilah as she tries to connect and solve the murders in her hometown...With help from her family and friends and the mysterious Kane she begins to unwrap the past that includes the present! Blood and bodies are the best way to describe her relationship with Kane, and I enjoy their comfortable silence and understanding of each other! The only suggestion I could make is that the next book in the series be 300 pages of more, as I can't wait to see what's up next for Agent Love!!

These are my absolute favorite types of books. The unraveling of the mystery, the suspense and the heat. The author delivers us all three flawlessly in the Lilah Love Series.

Lilah is..well lovable, even though she is tough there's just something about her character that sucks you right in. The opposite sides of the law relationship between Lilah and Kane is off the charts with anticipation. Its clear how much these two care for one another, but that one thing is really keeping them apart and I can't wait to see if/how they overcome it.

I was so engrossed with this book today. I love Lilah’s attitude and her bravery. Then add Kane to the mix and it is just intense! Put the two together and it’s just hot! But once again the book ended with, what?? Where’s the rest? Your so good at this, Lisa. Leave us hanging, I see how you are! Lol! In this story there is mystery, suspense, and GREAT SARCASM. This is one of the best stories I have read. Lilah Love is my favorite character. Lilah takes no crap from everyone.
Lilah’s passed has come back to haunt her. In this book you get answers to the questions that came up in Murder Notes.
Murder Girl picks up right where Murder Notes stops. Lilah has to ride the line between right and wrong to get to the bottom of who is the Society and who is in it. Lisa Renee Jones does keep some questions unanswered but nothing makes you feel like it wasn’t worth the read.

I received an ARC from the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review for the second book in the Lilah Love series entitled "Murder Girl" written by Lisa Renee Jones.

This series is brilliant! Lilah Love is an FBI Profiler with a checkered and frightening past and a former Detective with the NYPD. She is initially assigned to two murder cases that appear to be connected. These murders are horrific crime scenes, difficult to deal with and personally threatening to Lilah. Someone wants her dead and is doing everything they can do to make sure she knows it. There are so many possible suspects!! Think you know the killer(s)? Think again! Who can Lilah Love trust?

I give it 5 stars. Linda-Rose

When More dead bodies keep showing up, and one is suspected to be a suicide, what do we learn? When the NYC FBI office tries to set the groundwork for jurisdiction, what happens? I could not stop grinning about that. Who and/or what is the Society? What do we learn about the Society? I was floored! Hoooooboy! Things get even more interesting in this book. I cannot wait for the next book in this series! I want to keep reading!

So excited to finish Murder Girl. Love Lilah and Kane and look forward to more about them. In this book you don't know who the good guys are or the bad guys. The suspense is great. Looking forward to more in the series.
