Whilst I like this genre I sometimes have difficulty liking the characters. Unfortunately the main character still annoys me but I am finding qualities I like. It took time to " get into the novel" but found by the end that I was invested enough to go straight onto the next instalment. Author is imaginative and writes well. Good range of ages for characters. A good read.

To see where this tale goes, you must keep reading. The books end to soon for me, then again, I cannot seem to put them down. You will enjoy this imaginative adventure tale, my son's are already asking me what book I am hoarding to myself. They know when I barely come up for air it is a good series. Keep reading to see what will happen to Thor next!

From the beginning to the end I was completely rapt. Each turn of the page bore more action, mystery and suspense than the last. The author plays on the minds of the readers, drawing out events by switching between characters and their individual situations in each chapter. One chapter ends with a cliff hanger of an ending and the next begins with the continuation of another character's situation. Christopher Paolini used the same style of writing in his Inheritance Cycle. Each chapter follows another character's situation, allowing the reader to experience it all as it's happening and eventually they all come together in a huge climax. I love this particular style of story telling. A chapter ends just as something big is happening, another one starts with someone else's situation and you're left hanging in suspense. It's thrilling.... and sometimes frustrating because you just want to know what's coming next but you have to go through who knows how many chapters to get back to it.

This series has plenty to offer where mystery, suspense, magic and love are concerned. It's action packed from beginning to end. This book is shorter than the first, and was a relatively quick read. However, it did not lack substance and the plot continued to deepen. I did notice the same editing issues that were present in the first book. I even noticed instances where the wrong character name was used in scenes that that particular character wasn't a part of. I can somewhat understand randomly missing or misspelled words, but I kind of found myself scratching my head in wonder on those occasions.

Overall, I loved the book. I've loaned the first one to my husband and he's been really enjoying it, too. I would recommend it to anyone.

Having read book one in the series, I was interested to see what would happen next. While there is lots of excitement and you do root for the main character, I think trying to spread the story over so many books makes it too easy to lose interest.

Several years ago I read this entire series and I enjoyed it just as much this time - at least this book. Now I will need to download they series to read it again. This is fantasy at its best and anyone who starts the series will read the rest.

Each book is only a chapter, there is no resolution in each book. The story is interesting, the writing is not great. (sorry Morgan). Spatial issues. How can it be huge distances, with towns all between, but a messenger can make the trip in a night. An army can cross it in a day.. but sometimes it takes people a day to go from town to town. I will finish the series, I like the story, not the writing.

Frustrating, getting through the typos and misprints. They are such short reads that I just keep pushing through, I do enjoy them but they feel like they don't go through a proof reader or maybe they do but no one rereads to double check.

This is a very good second episode of an exciting fantasy story-arc, whose ending "cliff - hanger" (required of all really good serials) leaves the reader clamoring for more! You won't be disappointed with this one!

The second book of the adventures of Thor continues the saga with multiple twists and turns. Very hard to put down. I have a feeling I will be investing a fortune in this series of 17 books, but it appears to be worth it!

I have enjoyed the story thus far. The descriptions and characters are well written and interesting. Normally, I would have given it 5 stars, but like the first "book", the writer did not wrap up anything and just left it hanging to continue in the next book. Do NOT buy this book, unless you want to buy the complete series (8 books so far, and I think a 9th is on the way). It is like buying a book with the last few chapters missing.

This whole series is simply written but action packed and keeps me on the edge of my seat. I love a good fantasy world and this one is very cool but realistic enough to wrap you up in it. I'm actually on book 9 and just now writing a review. They seem short but that could be because I read furiously and fly through them, seriously, can't fight the urge to move on to the next book each time!

Action packed and full of characters that you come to like. The only issue with this and most of the books in this series is that it reads like a video game. The characters are put into positions that would pretty much kill them all, but somehow they always make it out alive.

Very well written and is expanding the background for the world that Morgan Rice has created. It is quick, well written and very hard to put down. I'm enjoying this book as much as .Tolkien 's works and Edgar Rice Burroughs John Carter of Mars. Eager to continue the series

Rice continues the development of both characters and situations in book 2. Although fast-paced, there is a fleshing out of several major characters, and a conclusion that will leave you holding your breath! Next!

Although I think the writer has potential to be good. The lack of editing, makes it difficult to stay focused. I understand that these are inexpensive books to purchase, but it does not provide confidence that future books by this writer will be any better, regardless of the price. If she isn't willing to take the time to proofread her books and keep details straight, I don't think I'll be willing to purchase any additional series from her. I will continue to the end of this series and hopefully she has corrected the problems and is taking publishing books more seriously.

This book has a lot of typographical and grammatically errors. Not to mention in at least 2 places, the author mixes up two major characters.

I do love the overall story, just wish the author invested in an editor to catch the mistakes.

Terrible writing, incomplete characters, lacks research, unimaginative, and I wonder if rice knows anything about what she writes about. Appears to me like she took common fantasy stories and integrated the bible to make it her own. Rice sucks at life!!!!!!
She can't remember details about her characters, writes about love if she's a little boy, and makes the character appear stupid, an obvious reflection of rice. The ridiculousness of it all made me laugh a lot , so if you're looking for a laugh read this sheit

Morgan Rice has a winner with this series. Love the characters, the plots, and the imaginary land they're set in. The action moves quickly and is easy to follow, even though Mr. Rice switches back and forth between characters and plots. Looking forward to more of the same.

I found the second book as compelling as the first. Can't wait to move on to the third. My one complaint is the need for closer proof reading of the manuscript. Too many errors which should have been caught and corrected.

poor organization and structure of the book. Chapters jump around and there's no consistent time frame so you are left wondering what is happening at what time. this book is not as good as the first but its better than the subsequent books in the series. So its closer to being a finished novel.

As the noise tightens towards the true kings assassin members of the kings family find their own lives in peril. Who will survive? A book full of love, hate heroes and peril. The plot moves quickly, a wonderful read.

The storyline is great and Morgan Rice's writing style is very easy to read. She does need to invest into a good thesaurus to find words she can replace magical and mystical with. I couldn't count the number of times that these two words are used. Sometimes the battle scenes are far fetched. The heroes never seem to miss and their arrows always seem to hit the enemy in the throat, no matter the distance. Still, I have continued to read and enjoy the books.

There are enough typos and character identification errors to make this a labored read. the store needs to hire better transcribers and most importantly, better editors. Story content and writing is very enjoyable. I will be continuing with saga.
