I enjoyed reading all six of Ms. Donati's Wilderness books. I like the way she writes especially the humor, and all the characters were believable. Wish these characters and their escapades could continue.

The whole Wilderness series of Sara Donati is absolutely fascinating especially if you like historical novels, plus this series is full of romance, suspence, danger, love and so many other good things. If you are interested in the historical background of settles in the United States, this is must read book. I strongly recommend the whole series, the Wilderness series.

I have enjoyed Sara Donati's writing. Her characters are interesting and as she progresses through each book she maintains the integrity of the characters, continues to capture your interest and keeps the story flowing. I depend upon my Kindle and Sara's books for getting me through long days while I'm recovering from an illness. Thank you Sara.

So glad that I had the foresight to purchase this at the same time as the previous book. Upon finishing this one, I immediately purchased the next and final in the series, "The Endless Forrest". Loved the setting in New Orleans especially since just after reading it, I took a trip to that area. Made me wish I could have seen it during the period it was written.

After reading, and becoming addicted to the Outlander series, I went on the search for something similar and as amazing. I searched and searched and came up with a few options, nothing was grabbing me but obviously Diana Gabaldon is a tough one to beat or even compare to! Finally, I came across The Wilderness series and thought I'd give it a try. I am so glad I did! No, it's not The Outlanders but pretty darn close! The stories are different so believe me when I say it is not a rewritten version of The Outlanders. When I started the first book, I wasn't sure I was going to like it, but I kept on reading and by the second book I was hooked. I think what was missing in the first book was the passion or chemistry between the main characters, Nathaniel & Elizabeth. I just couldn't feel it but then as the series goes on new characters are added, or should I say their family grows, so there's more to work with. Each book taps into the different characters so you get to see their lives unfold. I have to say I was quite impressed with Sara Donati's writing style - it just flows perfectly! Job well done! I highly recommend this series to all of you who are having Outlanders withdrawals - you will not be disappointed!

I read this series right after finishing "The Outlander" books. I was prepared not to enjoy it as much, but I soon got into it and ended it up liking it as much. I would highly recommend all of the Wilderness books.

Queen of swords kept me wondering what will happen next. I really enjoyed Ben & Hannah together. It gave the story a bit of spice. A good history war of 1812, most of the story matches the war according to some books i have read. great book and i just started The Endless Forest.
