I love this Wilderness series by Sara Donati. I have read all the books in this series up to the final book The Endless Forest. There is everything I love in novels in them; Early American history, love stories, adventure, and easy to connect with characters. I borrowed the first from the library and then didn't want to wait for the next book, so, purchased the whole set from the store.

Not as action packed as the previous books but still a good story and ties together loose ends from the previous novels. A great series overall and would highly recommend reading them if you enjoy historical fiction.

I love historical fiction, and those that have a love story amidst it makes for a better read in my book. I love all the characters she brings to life with all the details of life in that period of time. She was recommended after my read of Diana Gabaldon's books, which are my ALL TIME FAVORITE ONES TO READ!

For any readers who haven't indulged in Sara Donati's series of books about Elizabeth and Nathaniel Bonner, this is one of the later books in the series. It's a fine book to read without having read the others, but

it's much more informative to start with the introductory novel. Sara Donati is one of those writers who is gifted at writing historical fiction.

why not for once? Everybody needs love and Sara Donati makes us dream a little.
So, I read the entire story from the beginning until the death of the principal "actors".
How many books?? I believe about 4???

This was a suggested title after reading the Diana Gabaldon series and is a true depiction of what I'd imagine pioneer life to be like. The dialogue is right on and plot moves quickly with interesting characters. I'm always surprised when the book comes to an end and ready for the next in the series! Great details abound from this informative author.

After reading the Outlander series, this was my go-to series and I have very much enjoyed all of the books. This one is definitely one of my favourites of this series. I have had a hard time putting this down to get work done and as I'm almost done, I hope the next book is the same! Thank you Sara for writing such a fantastic series!

This was another good read, in an excellent series. I enjoyed it, despite the fact that I found it very hard to connect to Lily and therefore her storyline did not really interest me overmuch. However, there were many other characters and they each had their own part to play, which I did in fact, love and some of them played out in a very different way, that I wasn't expecting. So, all in all, another good read and an excellent continuation of the story.
