This book does have a few curves in the storyline. The reader is given some things to think about; Eternal now and a living bridge were two concepts that are different. The reader does have to trust the author in a few areas and these get explained at the end. The plan was long in coming and development however.

This series introduced me to the world of epic fantasies. It is my favorite series of books. I have loved Richard and Kahlan for a very long time. Their pursuit of truth, justice and free will has been a standard to aspire to. The cast of characters all added to the canvas of this story, giving it a rich blend of colours.
This being the final book, I pledged to read it slow and enjoy the final stroll into the sunset. Well that flew out the window from the first page. I was immediately immersed into the world Terry Goodkind created. Yes some of the dialogue was long and tedious and lots of repetition to drive the point home but it did not deter from this book for me. The ending was gratifying. It wears an epic journey. Thank you for writing this series and giving Richard and Kahlan life.

So glad the story is done. Finally Terry Goodkind stopped telling us how the Confessor's power worked every other sentence! I would be surprised if we don't run into this World, if not the characters, again!

While the main characters didn't disappoint i felt that the author didn't handle Samantha well. I was disappointed with how the author handled the Bishop and the final battle. There were few surprises and after setting up the conclusion of fell a little flat. A good read but not up to his previous works. Felt like he grew tired of Richard and Kahlan.

A satisfying ending to one of the best fantasy series of all time. This does have the usual Goodkind pontificating and circular logic, but that's just his style. There are a lot of negative reviews of the last 3 books, but if you look at them as one long book they deliver a proper conclusion.

Good Reading. Seems like sometimes like he dragged an idea or description of a situation out a little too long. Aside from that, it was filled with entertaining reading I found hard to put down.
Don't read Death Mistress before you read Warheart. In it's beginning, There's a Spoiler on what happens in Warheart in the end

I have loved richard and kahlans story from the beginning but this book fell short. Very repetitive and a whole lot of fluff. It felt like goodkind just copied and pasted info from his other books and at times wrote the same thing in 10 different ways just to fill up a chapter. This book could have been half the size and it would have given all the info and story needed to close the series nicely. I am glad that all loose ends have been tied up. However, i do wish he did it in a way that was more respectful to his fans instead of just finishing it to finish it. I just wish profecy was kind enough to warn us about this so I wouldnt have been so disappointed.

Terry Goodkind has answered many questions
Resolved innumerable problems and given us a very satisfying resolution to the story of Richard and Kahlan.
I recommend reading the entire series from the beginning - you have innumerable treats in store.

Thoughtful-well written book. A excellent addition to the series of Richard and Kahlan. It was a real pleasure to get to know these characters. If this book concludes their story I will miss waiting for the next opportunity to revisit them.

A very good read

I have really liked this series. However, I had a hard time maintaining my interest as after the first few chapters the story seemed to just drag on. Nevertheless, I was determined to plod through and was very surprised and pleased with the twist at the end! Goodkind is superb at surprising endings.

Book arrived in good condition. The story gets bonkers and the next one goes even further off track with characters making dumb choices. Also if you are very attached to some characters, this book hurts.

The entire series of Richard and Kahlan books (Starting with The Sword of Truth series) are amazing - I am struggling with where he has taken the characters...but that's only because you easily get very connected to them and they are "real life" Heros and Villains...you never know where they are going to suffer greatly (or even DIE!?!) Needles to say - AMAZING books.

This book is positively incredible. I've followed the series from the start and it wraps up the epic saga in brilliant ways. You see the development of the characters, and interesting plot twists that somehow seem completely natural and yet astounding. I would highly recommend this book and especially this series. Terry Goodkind redefines what good and evil are, and their implementation in a glorious new world

Too much emphasis on the theme of prophesy. I was very bored getting through it but I made it. the ending was very quick after a very drawn out story. was a little disappointed. yes, there was a couple of twist but they were short lived and didn't seem to add much to the story.

Started out watching the TV show that is loosely based on the books. After watching the show I decided to give the books a try and have not been disappointed by Terry Goodkind. I thought that Warheart wrapped up the The Third Kingdom books well along with the rest of series. These are the first books I have really read for leisure and I am glad I made the decision to.

Warheart was a fantastic book and one of my favorites in the series. The last 5 or so books have been okay, but the final book really hits home and Goodkind did a very good job in wrapping up the series.

I have read every book written by Terry Goodkind. I have spent over ten years anxiously awaiting each new book in the series. This was a wonderful conclusion to a story I love dearly. What I wouldn't give did this to be made into movies!

I have loved the entire series and I have learned a lot from it, I'm very sad to see it end, but happy that Terry Goodkind always does such an amazing job with his writing. Bringing you right into the book as though you have never left. Thank you Terry for sharing your talents with us and sharing Richard and Kahlan's story.

This was amazing. I started it wondering how, or even if, Richard could be brought back. Then.came chapter after suspenseful chapter with the urgency of getting him back to the containment field before he died.
I must say the resolution was brilliantly written.I was as surprised as Nicci when he finally explained what he'did been planning all along. A wonderful read!

I love the Sword of Truth series. My opinion though is the books following the "original" series weren't written the same. These characters that you grow to know develop and grow through the first 12 books. They become better people well rounded. Then starting in the Omen Machine all the characters seemed to take huge steps backward in their development. They are still there, but different. The last 3 books of the series wraps the story up nicely, but left me wondering where the Richard and Kahlan I grew to love in the first 12 books went. I still recommend this read. If you have followed Richard and Kahlan this far you must follow them to the end.

It was the TV series that first got me interested in this series. Since then I came to love and crave the stories of Richard and Kahlan's adventures. This ending is perfect for them. We said goodbye to some other favorite characters in the book, and I am sad to see them go, but happy to know all are at peace.

while these last few books have defiantly lost some quality compared to the start of the series, this Finale book really does a good job of finishing up the story. its not the greatest but defiantly the best of the last three. and the story really ties up nicely even if it feels a little rushed.
