Fancy Nancy and the Posh Puppy is a most delightful book with wonderful illustration, which any little girl will enjoy. I bought this book for my five-year-old neighbor whom I adore. She has so much in commen with Nancy; expressing herself through some strange combinations of outfits, she then expects me to admire. and through the way she speaks. I just know she will use all the "fancy" words Nancy uses. What's more, her parents got the dog she loves from the animal shelter. Skylar will adore this book and will want the story to be read to her and "read" the pictures by herself over and over again.

Did not get before Christmas as the store stated. Do NOT blame the seller b/c the store made the statement not the seller. When I went to check on the status of my order, the seller had stated that products order after a certain time would not be delivered before Christmas however what I saw was from the store that stated that I would get my delivery on December 21st. Paid way too much for shipping to get it after Christmas.

Taking only back seat to the first original Fancy Nancy story- we love this book. My kids especially love that Nancy even "scoops poop"- provokes laughter each time we read it. I am particularly fond of Mom and Dad for picking out the perfect pup, Frenchy, from the SPCA. And Frenchy is the perfect pup for Nancy! Mommy's High Heel Shoes

Fancy Nancy is delightful & this book does not disappoint. One very clever note I wanted to point out to all of you parents reading this book to your daughters...Nancy's dad says the dog is a LaSalle Spaniel - if you turn back a couple of pages you'll see that the animal shelter is the "LaSalle Street Animal Shelter" - TOO cute (I missed it the first few reads ;-))

Nancy's second lesson on being fancy brought me to giggles and to tears. It is just so incredibly touching and innocent. Every time I read it to my 4-year-old daughter she says "ah, it's so cute momma." If you enjoy heartfelt stories and adorable illustrations, you will want to read all about Fancy Nancy and her Posh Puppy.

This book is great for girls who love being, well, fancy. Charming pictures, good character development (considering the length of the book), and a strong, postive message will make this book a favorite for children and adults alike.

My four year old daughter received this for her birthday and loves it. We read it every day. She is not as fancy as Nancy but wants her clothes. I found the other book "Fancy Nancy" today and she she was thrilled to see it. The illustration is wonderful. I look forward to when she can read so I can enjoy the whimsical pictures. I bought two more for gifts.

My granddaughter and I just love this book. The graphics in it are absolutely wonderful. Now we call her little crowns "tiara's". It is a lot for a 3 year old to absorb but that makes it also fun as we take a few pages a day and discuss everything that is on the page. We also purchased her second book and I understand that a third is on it's way. Magnificent,a fancy word for Hurray!

My five year old daughter loves this book. The illustrations are great and the lessons that Nancy learns will help other kids learn too. I also like the wording of the book. Nancy uses "fancy" words to describe things, but always gives a simple definition so that everyone can learn the word too.

My 2.5 year old daughter absolutely loves the first Fancy Nancy book so I was excited for this one to come out. I guess I should let my daughter be the ultimate judge before I review it but I haven't bought it for her yet. I was a little disappointed and so I put it back on the shelf. The reason that I did not purchase it was that I felt that many of the phrases were repeats of the first book. I think the story is nice but the writing just didn't grab me like the first book did. It's a very cute story but I would have liked for Nancy to use some different phrases so that I could explain the meaning to my daughter. She already understands posh, merci, and stupendous from the first book. If I'm not mistaken, those were just some of the repeated words. In all, I probably will end up buying this at some point but I hope the 3rd book due out in December will put me back on the Fancy Nancy bandwagon.

I got my daughter her first Fancy Nancy book when she turned 2, and now everything that is girly she calls fancy Nancy, shoes, purses and anything sparkley! Great to read for bedtime too. I can't wait for the next books to come out!

I Can't understand why the first book was printed in the USA and this one is printed in CHINA! Is there lead in this book like many of their toys??
I think the store should list this if this is the case
