Robert B Parker's Little White Lies (The Spenser Series)

A very disappointing book. Not up to Ace Atkin's previous Spenser stories, Little repartee/connection between Hawk and Susan and more
narrative than usual. Storyline drags a bit. Previous books captured Spenser & Co. very well and they often gave me the comfortable
feeling that here was RBP within the storyline. I look forward to Ace's next book nevertheless, and hopefully he can get that Spenser
magic back in his story.

Too much rehash of past novels. Was looking forward to the new release because I enjoy the Spenser books so much, but there are large sections of this book that I can quote completely after several sentences because they were used before in earlier novels. Disappointed.

Love the Spenser series. This book keeps the story going with good twist and turn of plots. However, the too often social moralizing is distracting and better left for opinion ads or forms not Spenser books.

Ace Akins captures the classic Spenser so well it is nearly indistinguishable form Robert B. Parker's. This was a good fun read with many of the classic Spenser quirks (though without the actual Quirk character): dry wit, literary references, tough guy softy, etc. The plot started out a bit tame but built nicely.

You must get the audio with this book. Joe Montegna is an amazing reader. He brings all the characters to life.

Book is classic Spenser. All the bravado and harshness. Ace Atkins is carrying on the tradition.
