I love everything about this series. The characters, the story line everything. I started reading again just a few years back when I got my first kindle. This series was one of the first I read and I still come back and read it again and again. Kudos Anne. Keep them coming.

Thoroughly enjoyable story reintroducing us to all things Krinar. Long anticipated, The krinar Captive follows the love story of Emily, a human woman, injured in a fall and Zaron, an alien from another galaxy. We are swept away by their fast developing love affair. They are faced with the same problems as any couple falling in love with the added stressors of Emily's belief that Zaron is hiding something about his race from her.
As with all Anna Zaires books, the characters are smart and the story is h-o-t!!!!

This book was written after Korum and Mia's trilogy, but it feels more like a prequel. Zaron and Emily's story is standalone and takes place before the official Krinar invasion. Emily took a vacation to Costa Rica after she was laid off of her job. While crossing a wooden bridge in the middle of the jungle, she plummeted to the ground and sustained life threatening injuries. Zaron, a Krinar scientist sent ahead to study the different animal and plant species on Earth, heard her fall and took her back to his house to save her. Unfortunately he needed to keep her captive until the official Krinar invasion began a little over two weeks in their future. And that is where the fun begins.
This book was very well written and provides some great insight to different aspects of the Krinar world. I am so pleased the Anna Zaires continued in this world for an additional book.

I received this book before it was released for my honest review and here it is. I really liked this book, not as much at the first 3 books I read in this series. But since it was meant to be the first book in the series it helped explain a few things that weren't in the first 3 books. And we got to meet the main character in the next set of books briefly. I liked the store line, it was at a pace that kept me interested, so much so I read the first 20 chapters in a matter of hours. I hope this isn't the end of this series. I have read a few of Anna Zaires books and have loved everyone of them!
Please RateThe Krinar Captive
Ok let me start by saying I no longer enter or sign up or ARC or free books in exchange for reviews. I was not liking or not wanting to finish so many and I hated leaving bad reviews and it became a chore..
This was the first time Anna offered ARC'S and I snatched that up quick! Since she can't write a bad book I figured I was safe (and I totally was)
Ok so the book itself.
This book is about an "alien" race preparing to coming to live on our planet. Many of them have already been here for years. Now they are looking to make a perment home for their race.
This book takes place I believe 5 years before the Krinar Chronicles. And you get to meet some of the characters from trilogy.
This is Emily and Zarons Story.
I won't go into a whole recap of the book, that's what the blog is for.
What I will say is Anna Zaires is one of my top 5 authors, I will alway read what she writes. This story was no exception to how much I love her writing.
Only reason I did 4.5 stars instead of 5?? I like my books long..i read a lot of books and am a quick reader. i would have liked to see a little more in the beginning. Not that it took away from the story, just my personal preference
