It flowed really well and kept me interested the whole way through. There were annoying moments - like how she couldn't control her attraction to the hero although he was a legit condescending bigoted jerk. But overall a (surprisingly) really good read.

The heroine in this story can truly kick some serious butt. She is also strong mentally and she needs to be because the guys really are some of the most sexist, stubborn, rude pigheaded, lunkheads I have ever seen...er...read about. She finally brings them around, it certainly helps that she can kick all of their butts, and gets with the hero who turns out to be a pretty decent guy. Great read.

The title really says it all. Suzanne Wright creates a world of backward thinking masaga-saurs and places a strong willed female protagonist (Sam) in their midst and she teaches them all the right way to behave.
Whats I liked - the romance was pretty good (3 star) and the love scenes are pretty steamy and very adult (4 star)
Where the book falls short - The military "elite troop" falls on it's face - the author even refers to them as "high school athletes in a locker room". You just never got the sense that the author even tried to do a little research on any branch of the military (let alone Navy Seals). I skimmed every training session as they read like a special ed class in high school.
SPOILER
Its clearly an adult book but the author could not bring herself to harm (or much less kill) a single major or minor good guy - even when the odds were stacked against them giving the story arch a very young adult (Disney-esq) feel (but at least there the mom dies). this really spoils the tension or fear that something bad might happen - making for a lot more skim material

In all candor I hesitated to read this book after downloading it as I had downloaded another book by the author at the same time, and I was not enamored with that one. However, I thought Here Be Sexist Vampires was a much better effort, a book I enjoyed reading.
I am partial to strong female characters, and Sam fits the bill. But she is not merely some kick-butt action hero. She has flaws, weaknesses, and feelings: in short, she is human (OK, not technically a human anymore.) And although she is pretty powerful, she is a vampire, and the vampires in the author's universe are rather misogynistic. Put into a position of authority over male vampires, she has to prove herself capable, perhaps more capable the male vamps just in order to be accepted.
The story flows pretty well, and things move quickly. There are really no down spots in the storyline.
The author's take on vampires was complex, thought-out, and engrossing. Most "facts" about her vampires seem to fit and made reasonable sense given the foundation.
I did have a few issues with the content of the book. I wasn't overly fond of Jared, Sam's love interest. I thought he was shallow, and I could not identify with him. I also had a problem with Sam using her breasts as a weapon. As a strong feminine character decrying sexism, I found it unreasonable that she even mentions her cleavage as a tool, so to speak, when confronted by a group of misogynist men. Then there were a few hiccups, such as describing the areas in which Vampire Masters held sway, such as one being the master of the Caribbean, Brazil, and Hawaii (why that grouping? There are no geographical nor cultural connections between those places) or another being the master of Japan, China, and Africa (one vampire the master of about 30% of the world's population, and another master already described as being the master of at least one African country?) But these were not so major as to seriously affect my enjoyment in reading the book.
However, the editing was frankly atrocious. The book was rife with misused words (for example, at least three times, "seen as how" was used instead of "seeing as how"), improper grammar, and improper punctuation. In the first page alone, I think there had to have been half-a-dozen mistakes.
On content alone, I would give Here Be Sexist Vampires a solid four stars. But the editing was barely at the two-star level, and as editing is part of the writing process, and I am giving the book an overall three stars. If the book is re-edited, I will be happy to come back for another look.

I really liked how this book targeted how women can be just as capable as men. It was a great story and I can't wait for the next one! I recommend this book to anyone who like the authors other books! I give it a four stars because I really liked this book! Great book!

Enjoyed reading this book, great humor, interesting characters and a good story to tell. Really liked the three differant types off vampire and the super cool powers. would love to know how sam as a svente got those special powers not known to flow in her race of vampire.
Jared's point of view fellt a bit lacking, not enough life to his "telling" of feelings, actions and what not. Kept getting irritated with the overuse/ wrong use off giggling and glaring. Old and serious vampires giggling is not a pretty sight in my head. Glaring makes me think off angry pissed off people not overly happy with the person they are staring at. In this story it was used when staring/ ogling or anything other than glaring should be used, in smexy scenes anyways.
Would read the next book if there is ever written one.

This was a very different vampire book. It had the usual super power vamps, but at the same there some interesting powers, that i'm impressed the author thought about them. The only thing was that she spent a lot of time explaining in detail the trainings, the powers and i guess it makes sense since you're starting with the series, but i needed more action. I loved Jared.

Besides the overuse of the word "giggled", this was a great read. The world Suzanne Wright creates is brand new not a modified copy of someone else. The female lead was strong but without "a chip on her shoulder." It was a delicate balance with the male lead being sexist but not so much that you couldn't like him in the end. I will enjoy seeing more of this self-published author and actively search for her new books.

I kept passing this book up because the title was so ridiculous. However, I read feral sins, which was a not as good as this one, but was decent. So, I decided to give this one a try. The story was really good and I was actually pleasantly surprised. I wish she would have drawn this out and made a series. The characters were well developed and the plot was great. Just please change the name of the book....its so dumb.

RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING THIS StORY GRABS U. The characters are so vivid that I could see them and FEEL what they were feeling! I was amazed at my Own self having such reactions! The adventure itself was one that I couldn't stop reading! I am big fan of Black dagger brotherhood and Lara Adrian...now Suzanne Wright is my new Best friend!

I really loved this book. It would be a wonderful series. When I first saw the title, I was not impressed, but I took a chance. I am happy I did. Samantha is a strong woman from the wrong side of the vampire chain. But it is her fight to be one of the boys that makes me smile. I loved the way the author gave all the details to the lines of vamps, and their individual gifts, etc. It was a fun read.

I love books where the heroine is the hero. This was a fast pace page turner and lots of action. I especially liked the book was left as a stand alone (no real bad cliffhanger) yet if you want to continue to read more about the two main characters, the author provided two more books.

Man was this a cute sexy couple. The Hero definitely has to work for the girl, but in his case he deserved it. Such a sexy read and fun. SO glad it has another book in the series, because I can't wait to hear more from this couple. I loved her take on vampires, and I also loved her take on werewolf in her book "Feral Sins." Looking forward to her future books.

After reading several very emotional books, this one was a nice relief. It was entertaining with the right amount of great sex scenes (not too many) There wasn't too much angst or drama. It kept me involved and interested and now that I'm done I probally wont think much of it again.
I like this author. I really enjoyed Feral Sins and I have From Rags ready to read.

TOTALLY KICKED MY FIVE STAR BUTT!!!!
This author is freaking amazing!!!! Here I am supposed to be studying anatomy and I COULD NOT put this book down!!!! I stinking love how much this author has the whole "powerful women" but at the same time they aren't being submissive or acting like a wimp with men!!! I love this and I seriously am so glad I read this!!!!!! Jeez, I am one of these women and it makes me feel SO much better!!!!! Men are possessive as they are, it's women like this that make the women in real life know that there is a chance to find someone, you just have to find your equal.

This whole series is AMAZING! Funny as hell and just an amazing read. The stories are in depth and you really get to know these characters. Everything she's written has been fantastic. Her Phoenix Series is incredible too! I would definitely recommend!

I absolutely love the authors take on vampires. Sam, The heroine, is strong willed and definitely willing to prove she can fight with the best of em. Jared, the Hero,is all Alpha and one look at Sam has him staking his claim. Loved the banter in which they slowly realize they are meant for each other.

Started with Feral Sins and progressed from there. I was very surprised by the plot line for this book. I would say it should actually be categorized as fantasy rather than romance but it had a lot of action and the dynamics between her and the guys was hilarious. All i have to say is, men are complicated. :)

I was really hopefull having read other books by this author but I feel let down. The story was really boring and was more a training manual for vampires. There was not much romance or heat like her other books it was just dead and lifeless. I really don't know if I will give the other books in this series a chance or not. I don't think I can stand to try to make it through another training manual. I would not recommend this book to anyone, you will be upset that you waisted time on it.

Sam is a three year old vampire with uncommon gifts and control. Offered the possibility of a life away from her cruel and abusive sire, she accepts a challenge to become a part of the Grand High Master Vampire's personal legion. No one tells her there are no other females on the squad. She struggles against sexism and prejudice having to prove herself at every turn. She finds Jared to be a particularly sexist pig since he passes her over for being a woman even though she is one of the best in the competition. She ends up having to work with him, and despite his sexist ways, she finds herself magnetically drawn to him.
Jared is the heir to the throne, as it were. For the most part, people defer to him and submit to him, especially women. He has three consorts and no shortage of women throwing themselves at him. And his ego is as big as his living quarters. With a war coming, he can hardly afford to be distracted, especially by Sam, who he finds highly irritating. He undermines her authority with their squad every chance he gets. He likes tormenting her. In spite of this, she soon has the respect and admiration of the squad and Jared has to rethink his opinion of her and her kind of vampire.
Sam is feisty and quick witted in this fast paced story, and Jared is gorgeous in spite of his womanizing ways. The characters are well developed and the story is well written. I love the sizzling hot interactions between Sam and Jared. It's action packed and full of battles of will as well as physical battles. I love this author's style and look forward to reading more books by her. I hope she will turn the book into a series.

Even though this book was supposed to be adult, i didn't find the sex scenes distracting to the main story(meaning there wasn't a sex scene every other page, though there were some really sexy and steamy ones). I love both feisty main characters and how they didn't take each other's crap.

There a lot of good about this book, vampires, power plays, sexuality, tension and plenty of bad guys. Now the title is "Here Be Sexist Vampires", and the sexism is boilerplate. This makes them seem more human than vampire. But overall, the characters are interesting, likable, and don't follow the conventional rules.

I loved this book!! I was a little disappointed when i saw that it was written in the first person, but she made it work!! The heroine was powerful and not shy. She was honest both with herself and others. Too often we note females that are in denial for practically the entire novel, it was refreshing to see her kick butt and be tender and had a great sense of humor. Kudos to Suzanne. I hope that this is just a start to a series.

this novel was a nice surprise for the Vampire genre. it was entertaining, and lightly amusing. the author had thought out the powers, the strategies, the romantic intrigues and battles equally well. I would enjoy another in this series.

Loved this book! Had a few minor issues - grammatical errors and some spelling mistakes, and the ending was kinda abrupt; however, despite these issues this was a great read! Can't wait for the next one in the series (hint, hint! There are had better be another one coming out!)

if you like taunting words and verbal takedowns, this is the book for you. this book is a cross between the talented series and the grey wolves series, with a touch of vampires. this book delivers romance while still adding in plenty of humor and action. while deplorable in his sexistness (yes I'm making this a word) Jared is utterly loveable. Sam is a strong female who reminds me of the protagonists from Jennifer l armentrout's novels.

She is becoming one of my favorite authors. I loved this book almost as much as I loved From Rags. One of my favorite things about this writer is no matter the plot or storyline, you never forget you're reading a PNR novel! Passionate, sexy & hot lusty love scenes!!
So of course you have to make this a series!!! All of the character's are unique & elaborate. I wanna know about them all. Please Suzanne.... we want a series!!! :)

I really liked this book. I was shocked after betting into it that it only cost me 1.99 to buy this book. Usually books with that price are short and this book had so much I kept looking at the percentage as I read on my kindle and was so excited that I had so much more to read and amazed at how much I have already read. I bought this book and couldn't put it down. I LOVED the way the author devoted a chapter to his or her thoughts... their perspective. I wish that she already had another book to follow - I would have it already! She mentioned she could make a series depending on ratings... I vote YES! And hurry up please.

The supporting characters in this first book should have their own stories. Wish she would have substitute just one sex scene for more story.
A likeable heroine and hero, good supporting cast and a good intro to a series. Hope she writes more than one or two books.
