Excellent, superb book in the Saga of Sloan, Warren, and Nate. Think of your favorite roller coaster. Then imagine you’re reading this book while riding on it over and over again. THATS how this book will make you feel with your emotions! So basically, I loved every moment in the story and am already anxiously awaiting the next book.

Loved Sacrifice, although the tears will fall , I don't care who you are....I thought Alicia Hyder brought a brilliant end to a most amazing series. This book gave all the characters a chance to fulfill their roles and Alicia Hyder was able to do justice to each one. An emotional but exciting adventure !

Between the cliff hanger endings between the previous books and the sad and depressing ending of this book, apparently Ms. Hyder doesn't believe in happy endings. This book left more questions than answers (Sloane's paternity, really?) and after everything that the characters went through (and the readers by extension) the ending was a total disappointment and ruined the whole series for me. I will be deleting the series from my kindle.

*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from the author*

WOW. I always thought this was a great series because of how the author handled the love-triangles and drama and feel-good vibes with her take on angels and demons, but this installment completely sealed the deal for me. I am seriously following it til the end now (and I really hope the ending leads to where I'm praying it does?) cause man... that ending blew my heart and mind.

I hope this never ends anytime soon, and I'd honestly take it any way I can; spin-offs, different MCs, whatever. The Sacrifice revolved around the last few months of Sloan's happy life before the big storm. It's pregnancy aches, moments of insecurity as a human whale supporting life. Compared to the other books, I thought this one was more for the people who'd read the previous installments. It was a lot of good-humor banter and conversations, 'normal' moments for this mom-to-be who didn't have any sort of normalcy for a long time. Sure, they all kept up with solving the big mystery of the moment and interacted with other supernatural beings to keep things flowing and interesting, but majority of the time, I was following a very preggo Sloan doing mundane things (well, as mundane as it could get for this warrior angel). A sort of 'last meal' is what it felt like for her, getting the best of what the universe could offer her, before everything was forced to change forever. The ending totally broke my heart and caught me completely off guard, and I was crying, but at the same time, I couldn't think of a better way that didn't go with something predictable. I sincerely hope it doesn't end here because there's still so much I want from Sloan and the others!

My favorite Elicia Hyder novel so far!
This series has always delivered on action and intrigue but this book steps it up a notch. It's a great up-all-night read, but I'll read it again at a slower pace as well.

This series is great to have on hand because you really will read it over and over again because it's just that much fun. She answers enough questions and leaves enough unanswered that you will comb through the series looking for clues and insights.

It is no easy feat to bring a whole town to life in such a tangible way but Elicia has done it in a way that feels authentic and natural. Stop reading this review and go read the book!

Ok, this is just a a “quickie” review. Unfortunately, I’m in in a hospital and asked my husband to post this since I don’t have the time to do better - even though the book definitely deserves it.

Bottom line: five stars. This was one wonderfully fun novel and definitely recommended. It had just what I wanted and was well written and with a great plot and great cast of characters.

Absolutely freaking loved this book!!! Can’t wait for the next one. Elicia Hyder sucks you into the storyline by creating relatable characters who you want to know in real life. She makes you cheer and root for them like you’re in the action. Definitely recommend this book- BUT, make sure you start from the beginning of the series, because it’s definitely a must read!

This series is so intense and it keeps me hooked. Every time a new book is released, I am eager to read it.

Sloan is just trying to stay alive and keep her baby healthy and planning a wedding would be good too. There are so many threats to her and her child.

I love that while you have an intense situation the author never forgets to provide some humor too. The story will keep you guessing and there is a twist you will not expect. I can't wait for the next one.

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received.

I read the entire series. I think there should be at least 1 more book. What happens with Sloan and Nathan? We need to know how the baby fares, it's just TOO much to leave us hanging. We closed and resolved some matters but there's just so much more to come with this series.
This series so far is just outstanding, funny and so so entertaining. If you check out this series, I promise you won't be disappointed.

I believe the whole series of The Soul Summoner was best stories I have ever read about a war between angels and demons saving humans. The characters was totally believable. There was humor, violents(not to horrible), and unconditional love. These stories gives a person a lot to wonder about faith and belief in heaven and hell. Thank you Elicia for such a great imagination. I would recommend these to anyone who really enjoys a reading.

You know how some series are great in the beginning and the longer they go on, the weaker it gets? This is absolutely NOT one of those! Every book in the series gets better and better. I have loved every page. This book as well as they series is a must read.

Oh my book 5 is no disappointment!! Sloan's journey continues with all my favs, her bff, her soulmate, Nathan, Az and more. A can't put down book just like the all the others in the series. With the baby's arrival will Sloan and Warren have their happy family? Will she defeat her mother? Save her bff? Made me cry but still want more. I received an ARC for an honest review but would have bought, just that GOOD!

The characters and writing improved immensely over the course of these 5 books, and this final one is really worth the read. Very little of the hand-waving magical solutions but more about actually tying things together and finishing them as nicely as a handmade baby afghan. I also enjoyed that this series was rated PG-13 at most, which is a nice change from much of the urban fantasy world these days.??

The latest installment of the Soul Summoner series is a roller coaster ride of emotions. The author has developed a deft hand with humor, bringing much needed levity to what could have been a somber book in the hands of a less skilled writer. I found myself alternately wishing for the book to go faster so that I could learn what would happen next and wanting it to slow down so that I could savor everything. I will definitely be returning for a re-reading.

I have devoured the Soul Summoner series and you should too. This is a series that doesn't get stale. The characters are all likable and the mystery of what is going to happen next keeps you turning the pages well beyond your bedtime. Can't wait for more in this series! Keep them coming! I think your fans would like you write faster!

The characters come to life and you feel like you are in the room and could be part of their discussion. The fantasy makes you want and the realty could be true. A thrilling story to enjoy again and again. How long do I have to wait for the next part?

Wow just wow!!! The gang is looking for Adrianne - I missed her in this book. Love Nathan but am team Warren to be with Sloan. They are the cutest couple and remind me of Piper and Leo from Charmed. Romance, suspense and lots of action. Wish the ending had been different and hoping it isn't set in stone. If you have read 1-4 this is a must read!!!!

Another fantastic read in Elicia Hyder's Soul Summoner series. I would have to say some of the best characters I've read in books for a while, you will simply fall in love with them all. A great mix of laughter, and honestly one chapter in particular was brilliantly written humour (sworn to secrecy not to give away too much) of course the tears and the sheer joy of seeing good triumph over evil.
Highly recommend this series. This book was provided as an Advanced Copy (ARC) for a fair testimonial.

This is... the most INFURIATING book to read.

I had to work the next morning meaning I was up at 6:30. However thanks to this book I wasn’t asleep until 3! The only thing getting me through my day was the fact that I could go home and reread it.

I laughed, I cried, I literally screamed; every emotion possible is felt throughout this book. I hate it but my GOD I love it more than anything I can think of right now (except maybe Warren... I’ve always loved Warren).

This has to be one of my favorites out of the series so far.

Now excuse me, I need to go on a Soul Summoner reading spree...!

Excellent book! I have read the entire, series. This book was the best. I saw all the reviews talking about how emotional it was and said probably not to me ( retired Deputy and Military). Well it was, great story, great detail and put together amazingly. I just hope that this is not Sloans last book, I really like the the character. Wonderful job!

Tears, tears, and more tears!!
My heart has been torn, a part is missing! Yes, I am that invested in this series!! It is one of my must reads!!

Just go ahead and read them already, you won't regret it!

There is always a weakness and a strength. Sloan has lots of decisions to make. This only compounded my thoughts on there needing a life for a life. There always is a string attached to something and I fear that Sloan paid the ultimate choice.

This series is amazing. Faced paced and never boring. The characters draw you in emotionally. Definitely suffering from a book hangover this morning, as I had to stay up to see what happened! Can't wait for the next book, which I believe is the final in the series. It will be bitter-sweet.

This book was an emotional roller coaster. I cried like a baby the last quarter of the book. I have been hooked on this serious from the very beginning. I cant wait for book 6 to come out. Elicia Hyder is truly amazing with her writing. She knows how to captivate the reader from the first page!

The Sacrifice is a good, solid ending to The Soul Summoner, if not as good as previous entries in the series (dur, largely, to a conclusion I didn't feel, even though it made perfect sense).

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series.
High suspense, intrigue, with laughter, puns and good friends.
I'm anxious to see where it will lead, without her gifts how will Sloan protect their child.

An excellent culmination to this series, with one more short story to come. Lots of feels, though Sloan ended up with my choice. The dissolution of Azrael/Adrienne cut deeply though. Elicia is a spectacular human, and one of my top five favorite authors. Definitely a buy upon release!
