This book helps in my pursuit to choose sobriety everyday. Great to pull in none AA quotes because It shows that lessons learned in sobriety can be applied to healthy living that I can teach my kiddos too.

This excellent collection of 365 daily readings has been a favorite of mine for many, many years. Its topics are always recovery related, and appropriate for men in any recovery program (or none).
The copy I purchased from the store last month was brand new, totally flawless, and exactly like my original from so many years ago.
I am impressed, and grateful.

This meditation book has helped me with my sobriety everyday in keeping me centered and understanding my growth from being self-centered to leading a more fulfilling life. I highly recommend this book.

Gave as a gift. I like Hazelden meditation books and I have the one for women. I enjoy reading mine for women but have no idea what the one for men is like since I gave it as a gift and I did not read it.

I have looked forward to reading these daily meditations, every morning, for decades. These thoughts almost always provoke feelings of comfort or a need to try life with an altogether different perspective. I recommend this book to all men regardless of the path that you’ve been on.

I stumbled across this awesome book while desperately seeking solace and advice following the (unwanted) end of my 19-year marriage. While not an alcoholic, I've seen how the 12-step program can change people's lives, so I wasn't put-off by the references to it in the text. In any case, the focus on 12-step principles is low-key, and the book uses a number of other sources of wisdom to help the reader become more self-aware, calm and centered during the storms, large and small, of life. My well-worn copy is now in its sixth year of use. It's been so helpful that now just the act of picking up the book starts to calm me down!

Positively the best daily meditation book I have seen. Every page contains an absolute gem of wisdom. What a blessing to start the day with some of the phenomenal insights the author provides. The understanding and growth I have experienced from studying this book is worth hundreds or thousands of times more than my original investment. I would wholeheartedly recommend this book to everyone, but especially men in recovery. After just the first few times you have read from this book, you will be thankful you did .

This book encapsulates well the "enemy of the state re-indoctrination" outlook of 12 Step cults.

It uses the bromide of "spirituality," the induction of guilt and shame, including but not limited to blaming the reader for "controlling" something if he doesn't feel well.

Run, run fast and far away from anyone who recommends this garbage.

If you have a substance abuse problem, go see someone who's not a 12 Step cultist.

If you're in a 12 Step cult, get out before it's too late.
