This story is a lovely surprise find, filled with heartwarming passion and sweetness between Derek and Melissa. I really enjoyed the back and forth chapters from each character’s pov, and the focus on their relationship through the whole read.

This is a sweet story with a little suspense.
Derek us an Ex-Marine turned Private Investigator.

Melissa is a Freelance Marketer on a much needed vacation at a Spa in Arizona.

The attraction between the two is undeniable and after their first encounter, they both want something that they can't have, More.

I fell in love with Melissa and Derek instantly.

The sex was off the charts hot.

The story line was good.

I liked this book but I felt like it ended too soon, like the problems were too easily solved. I would have liked to know more about Derek's past...and more of Mel's past. I felt like the author only told me what was necessary for the purpose of this story.

I would recommend this book but I personally walked away feel like it was flat...if that makes sense.

I will try another book by this author.

Melissa is getting away to relax her mind after a rough year. Derek is in town for a conference. They meet and have instant chemistry. A hot and memorable week is just what she needed.
Every page after they go their separate ways left me wondering what would happen next. Would she make the changes she wanted to make? Would her and Derek reconnect?
Great read with sexiness, drama, heartbreak, and love. The Epilogue was so sweet.

Really liked this. The beginning is stronger than the middle and end. However, the twist comes out of nowhere and knocks you out with a one-two punch. Melissa, a very unhappy woman and Derek meet in a bar in Arizona. They have an explosive meeting which leads to a week-long sexy, hot affair. Both are hiding secrets. The first few pages drew me in immediately but then somewhere around the middle I got a little lost. Could have been me. But all in all, a very strong, hot, sexy romance. And a standalone. So rare these days with the endless series', trilogies, etc. I think this is a debut for this author. Well done. Will be looking for more of her work.

Amazing book!!!! I enjoyed reading this book. I got sooooooooo caught up in the story, I felt like I was right there with them. This story had it all. I laughed, cried and got upset. I hope her ex gets his do!!! It is well worth reading. This is the first and I am jumping to 3rd book to continue the amazing love story between Derek and Melissa. Then back to book 2 to read how her best friends story works out. I would recommend this series very highly.

Talk about instant attraction! Meet a guy and bam, immediately you find hot, torrid sex on the patio of the resort. But, not to worry, he is prepared. As the short week passes, and the end draws near, our main character doesn't want it to end. Then she discovers a flaw. Are things not what they appear to be?
Read this story to find out whether she was "set-up" or was finding her hunk-of-love truly an accident.

Okay.... So I really enjoyed the beginning of this book. I finished the book over a span of two days and I did like it.

What I didn't like and what seems to be an issue with a lot of the books I have read recently is that the female lead always seems to change drastically near the end and it always seems as though the story escalates so quickly.

It's hard to believe the story when the characters fall in love so rapidly. But that's just me.

Overall, it's a fun read for the price!

Lately, anytime I've downloaded a free book, the book is either a DNF because the storyline could not keep my attention or I just barely finish it. Luckily this was not the case with One to Hold by Tia Louise. I am looking forward to the continuation of Derek and Melissa's story.

I really did enjoy reading this one, but there were a few unanswered questions for me which in a book is a little frustrating, I need to know these things! That being said I enjoyed the writing otherwise and other than the questions I was left with for the most part I thought the depth of the characters was really good too. I will be reading the best one!

I really enjoyed this book. I'm normally turned off by the "insta-love" factor but for some reason this one didn't bother me. I liked the characters and the steady flow of the story. I REALLY love that even though there are follow up books there was no cliff hanger. I wish more authors worked in this manner. I will buy more of the books because I enjoyed this one so much - not because I feel I'm being pressured into it. Good job Tia Louise!

Hot, alpha Marine turned private investigator meets sweet girl next door who is trying to start fresh. The chemistry between Derek and Melissa was intense! Just saying...some love scenes just don't feel real, Not in this book, make sure you read while the kiddos aren't around! Great storyline with one twist that caught me by surprise...no spoilers :) Highly recommend

A sexy, passionate, gripping tale that will put you through many emotions. One to Hold is a must read that won't disappoint. The characters are likable, strong, determined and bring the heat. This book was free and I voluntarily chose to leave a review.

Melissa and Elaine go on a week Spa retreat - why - because they REALLY need to get away! What they find is something that we all wish we could find and they also enjoyed the Spa a lot - they found it very relaxing and just what they need!

4 stars! I really liked this story and the hotness was definitely there. I totally believed the connection between Melissa and Derek. There were times I didn't understand some of the things that Melissa did but that's okay, the story as a whole was very entertaining. I thought the ending was a bit rushed and I was please to see there is another book for the couple. Yay!

This was an great book with romance and a heartfelt steamy story. I was absolutely taken in by this book within the first chapter. I was so lucky I was able to read this during two snowbound days at home. Derek Alexander what a Steamy Alpha Male. I fell in love. The herione Melissa Jones was a wonderful character. She had things happen in her life but she just pulled herself up and kept going. Now on to Patrick's and Elaine's story. Read this book, I believe you will enjoy it!

This book is best considered as erotica because the sex scenes are hot, frequent, and take up over half of the book. The story flowed well, but I got tired of the storyline being told instead of shown. I don't know if I will read any more of the series. The book did end around 80% with the rest promoting the other books and praise about the series. In the end, the characters were not well-developed - with very little given about the H except his physical characteristics.

This book was recommended by one of my favorite authors via her Facebook page and I am so glad that I clicked the link.

"One to Hold" is a beautifully written story of a woman (Melissa) who is trying to move on from a not so perfect marriage by enjoying a spa weekend with her best friend and the man she encounters, Derek, who proves to find a way into her heart.

I enjoyed this book and would say it is definitely worth the read.

Hot, Sexy and lots of heart stopping moments. Derek is a man on a mission. Melissa is a woman trying to escape.. The only problem is Derek's mission is why she is trying to escape. Neither Derek and Melissa not wanting to love are having a hard time keeping their hearts closed. Only problem they both have secrets and when they are revealed- the lies can not be erased. Great job Tia. Loved it. I will be recommending my friends to read.. Cant wait until One to Keep..

The disappointment I experience in the beginning of this book was dissipated as the book progressed. The book mentions a topic that occurs everyday and people still don't talk about much. I was very impressed with the way the topic was addressed as well as the strength of the main female character to face that. Overall I enjoyed the story and the characters.

I almost speed reading this book in the beginning. Melissa started out whiny with a huge side of self pity. But I hung in there. Derrick was that sticking factor. He blew into her life like a hurricane. The book took off once they left the resort. Mel had to clean up the mess that was her life.
The plot twists kept me turning the pages. I shed a few tears. Mel ended up being a very strong woman that was just dragged down by horrific events. I ended up really enjoying it.

A wee bit of a slow (slightly unrealistic) start for me...but before I knew it, the characters grabbed my attention and I devoured this book within two hours.

The main characters are great and you can't help but love them all....and utterly hate the villain.

There's laughter, love, angst, mystery and drama.

A great contemporary romance and a good HEA story. I will definitely be reading more of this author's work and finish up with the series.

who knew that a sexy book could actually stay that from beginning to end. Melissa and Derek find each other in Arizona and begin a "one week stand". They quickly discover. that they both want longer than that but, Melissa is in the middle of nasty divorce and an abusive soon to be ex. The scene on the hotel's patio is smoking hot, that it sets the scene for the rest of the book. Just buy it you won't regret it .

Wow! Almost need a cold shower after this one. Lol! Ok so the story is similar to many others I have read however this one nudges ahead from most of them. There was drama but it wasn't silly and over the top. The characters were mature and the storyline kept me interested to the last page. I will be reading more from this author.

Mel and Derek met at a bar and their introductions quickly advanced to continuing sexual encounters throughout the book that rivaled with those encounters in Fifty Shades of Grey. I look forward to reading more about Mel and Derek and their friends Elaine and Patrick. I am sure there will be further interactions with a scuba named Sloan.

Melissa is on an escape from her husband Sloan. While at a spa resort with her friend she meets Derek. Derek and Melissa hit it off and agree to have a week of fun. Fun only last so long when the feelings turn into more and the week is ending. Melissa has to go home to her husband and face the dreaded packing and hopefully get away from him. Derek has a secret that could destroy Melissa when it all comes out.

I liked the characters as well as the storyline. I must admit I figured out Derek's secret before it was exposed but it was still a very good twist to the book. Definitely looking forward to the rest of the books.

I have to admit that I purchased this book because the main female character has my name, Melissa Jones, just had to read after seeing this. I was pleased to find that it is a great book, with a great storyline and strong characters. The hero, Derek, is hot and sexy, and Melissa is beautiful and strong, not weak and whiney like so many female characters. I really enjoyed this book and will definitely read more from this author.

Awesome! Read in 1 sitting. Derek was hot & the sex was just as hottttt....Adored Melissa. Loved how epilogue was in Derek's POV! ? I wish the cover would of shown more of them . Like seeing their faces. I will continue reading more of Tia's books

Wow!!!! This was such a good book. I was captivated from the first page. The story of Mel was very intriguing. I liked how she had me wondering what had happened in Mel's life to make her so sad and guarded. I liked the way she and Derek came together. Just a beautifully written book. Cudo's to the author. I'm truly a fan.

I really enjoyed this story. Real people with real problems ie: post military, abusive spouse, one night stand. I'm so tired of reading about millionaires/ billionaires and bdsm!!! I'm all about erotic and a little kink, but some authors take it too far sometimes. There is just enough character development, chemistry, sex to want to read Tia's other books. I also like that this is a standalone.

I loved this book! It was quick -- finished it in a day. It's a stand-alone book, so don't be afraid to start it. I wish the rest of the books in the series weren't so expensive, or I'd probably keep reading. The sex is very hot. The language during their sex scenes seems a bit forced.

Great book that keeps you wanting more. I can’t say enough how much I have enjoyed this book! This book is well written, the character development is exciting. I own over 400 kindle books and this one tops my list.
