Alex (In the Company of Snipers Book 1)

Domestic violence distorts the victim's sense of self so badly that everything is always his/her fault. Not too often does the big macho man become more tuned into his emotions, and seldom is the ability to trust easily reestablished in the victim.

Enjoyable, though I was somewhat disappointed in the grammar-expected more of this author. Spoiler Alert: Nick murders his two sons yet he's never put in jail for the crime. That made no sense st all. Also, the story is unfinished because the reader is left wondering what happened with the ex mother-in-law.

In the beginning it may seem easier or even kinder to hope amnesia is a permanent thing, but alas it's not. What will Kelsey do once she remembers? Can Alex really protect her from the devil himself? And then there's Whisper and Shadow... such good boys!!! I'm not going to say anymore about this book other than it's an experience that everyone should have.

Good book & I want to read more because again I need to know more...I seem to be reading books lately that make me need to read further, which is both good and bad.I hate to leave a book not finished with the story even when I want to read because I like each to stand alone.

Good book with plenty of drama, action, and romance. No explicit sex scenes. And, yes, even though this is the 1st. book in a series, it has an ending. You're not required to read the next book to find out what happens, but I will read more by this author.

The book started out interesting and it will get your attention but stop there......don't waste your time reading it. I won't go into details but read what the other one stars had to say. I should have listen. If they had 0 stars thats what I would have given it. Ugh terrible and I mad at myself for wasting my time reading it.

This was a beautiful love story! Winters has an incredible ability to develop characters that jump off the pages and into your heart. The romance bloomed so tenderly, so naturally, that it felt like we were getting a rare glimpse into the very real and gripping events that, inevitably, led to a deep and meaningful relationship. Well done!

This books gets you right in the feels from about chapter two and hardly lets go. Thought it would be a light romance but Irish Winters tackles pstd, domestic violence, and unimaginable grief brilliantly, then heals with the balm of love and forgiveness.

Loved this book. The people were so believable and fun. Being a sucker for a love story, this was a great love story..even with their frailty Alex And Kelsey proved love could overcome..really enjoyed Harley...

A beautiful story of loving another and rescuing the damsel; in reality she also rescued him! It was past the half way point where it turned sensual, but not enough to be graphic. You could feel the love between the two main characters, a very sweet story and I'm ready for the next book!

Gave five stars and would have given more if available....this was a wonderful story. It kept me on the edge of my seat ....Loved the characters and the touching way the author told the story...Thank you to Irish Winters. (Love your name!!) Also, would recommend to anyone who enjoys a wonderful romance with some excitement included in the story.

This book is a tear jerker. There was excitement and much sadness and happiness. Loved the dogs. The author brought out their personalities and made the story so real. I highly recommend the book.
