Crossed: (prequel to the Crossed Series)

I almost tossed the book due to the graphic sexual content almost immediately in chapter one. But, I didn't. As the book continued there really was a story albeit generously laced with graphic sex. All in all it was okay.

What an AMAZING read this was!!!!

This was the first time I have had the honor of being able to dive into one of Lacey's books and let me tell you I am off to get a copy of all of her others!

This book was absolutely smoking hot from beginning to end and I could not get enough of it. From start to finish you will be lead on an amazing roller coaster ride that you will never want to get off of.

The story flowed beautifully and I loved that the plot line had so much originality to it. This Author has done an amazing job at writing a story that leaves you unable to step away and although you may think you can predict the outcome she has done a great job on sneaky in all sorts of little twists and turns.

I fell head over heels in love with Hunter and would happily read a whole series just about these too as I just couldn't get enough of them together. I for one love when there is that insanely intense connection and these two couldn't have had a stronger one. From the second they meet the chemistry was enough to leave you panting and praying for your very own "caveman".

Amazing read that will leave you reeling and begging for more. I cannot wait to see what else is in store for this series!

This book is the prequel to the Crossed series. These books all feature Alpha Males and strong women. There are great sex scenes, plenty of action and a really good story line. Hunter works for Cross Enterprises and is best friends with Emma Cross. Her BFF is Grace Brooks and Hunter wonders how in all the time Emma has known Grace, he has never been introduced to her. All that is about to change once Hunter sets his sights on Grace, he just has one job to finish up and she will be his for the taking.

Unfortunately all doesn't go as Hunter planned and over the course of the story we are treated to lots of intrigue, lies and cover ups with Grace's family as they try to get her back into the family that she left 10 years previously for her own protection, so that they can reap the benefits of the fortune they have hidden away in her name. A fortune that Grace has no knowledge of.

At every turn, Hunter is there for Grace and he slowly chips away at the heart he desperately wants to capture for himself.

This is a very enjoyable read and one I would recommend to all. Thanks to Netgally for and Advance Reading Copy.

When Hunter make Emma Promise to introduce him to her best friend Grace he knew that the moment he would finally have the one woman he can't thinking about. His job might be an issue, but one he is determined to see through and not let him deter from having Grace in his arms.
Grace ahs been tricked by her best friend into helping this Caveman as she calls him. He looks almost homeless and won't speak a word, but when she begins to help him clean up he instantly wakes up from his catatonic state. She realizes that she is incredibly attracted to her Caveman, now if only he felt the same.
This book is intensely romantic and incredibly exciting. Grace has to be protected from the danger Hunter has been working on. His attraction is turning into the one thing he never expected LOVE. Grace has vowed that she will not put Hunter into the label she seems to give every man that she falls for.. THE ONE.
I love reading this book it was exciting to read how Hunter really feel about Grace and How Emma is reacting to the change in her friend. I can't wait to see what happens in the next installment to this series!

As I was reading this, I thought it was in the middle of the series (my normal way to read books). I was pleasantly surprised this is actually a prequel novel and all the rest of the series is already written.

Caveman and Magic Fingers...what nicknames they have. I loved the names and Hunter & Grace. They were so perfect for each other, sparks flying every where. I'm not sure what to make of her brothers, but I loved her BFF. I loved their dares.

Now I just to have to find time to read the rest of the series.

Lacy Silks has delivered an incredibly hot romance, with danger, suspense and some mystery in this series prequil.

Emma Cross's best freind Gracie has come to the attaention of Emma's co-worker Hunter. Hunter Reeve,a former navy seal and an agent working for Cross Investigations, not only does she turn out to be a person of intrest in the current case Hunter is working.Hunter is incredibly attracted to Grace, simply just seeing her across has him picturing all the things he would like to di to her and with her, but first he needs an introduction.

Grace's estranged family is involved in some very questionable business and Hunter feels she may need protection from them and what they are involved ;in so before leaving for an undercover op he secures a promise from Emma of an introduction.

Three months later Hunter returns but,she is not the man he was, Emma takes him to Grace's salon to be cleaned up before heading of to a mental institution. At first glance Grace sees a caveman, long hair , long beard, dirty and in dirty clothes and figures she should start him with a shower, which leads to him totally naked in the shower and her washing his hair fully clothed.
From, this point on Hunter comes out of his silent stupor and these two can not seem to keep their hands of of each other.(bring your fan, you are going to need it!)

Hunter is all in but as much as Grace is into Hunter she tries to keep her expectations low and who can blame her, she is recovering from a pretty bad loss and to add to that her estranged family is trying to pull her into their dirty business deals. Thank goodness for Hunter, Gracie's Safety is paramount.

As the plot line is revealed, you learn more and more about gracies crazy family Dynamic and how she became close to Emma and her family.

Great read, do not miss out!

I always love what Lacey's stories. Grace is doing a favor for her friend Emma. Hunter seems so lost when she meets him. It is all not what it seems. I don't want to give to much away. Just buy the book and enjoy another great book starting a series. I did get the book as an ARC copy for an honest review. I'm always waiting for the next story to come out from Lacey. I love how characters from her Layers series are incorporated into this one. I also bought this book in the Red Hot Alphas Box set.

Grace Brooks is estranged from her powerful family and has been for 10 years now. After several attempts and actual kidnap attempts she realizes who is after her and why. Can cavemen hunk Hunter Reeve protect her from her own family? And how will she protect her heart from Hunter? Or could he be 'the one'? I've read some of the 'Crossed' books and loved every one of them. All are full of drama and action and 'who done it' themes and are very well written. Highly recommend the whole series in order.

Grace owns a Beauty Salon that caters to celebrities and the well-to-do. Hunter works in Investigation and Security. As a matter of fact, he works for Emma, Grace;s best friend.

One day he sees Grace with Emma and after that he is begging Emma for an introduction. Emma hesitates trying to protect her friend but ultimately says she will introduce them when he returns from an investigation he is going out on. She has warned him not to hurt her friend. but she knows Hunter is a good guy.

Three months later Emma introduces them but not in the conventional way. I found this to be a bit unbelievable. If my best friend brought a smelly, catatonic looking man into my shop and then asked me to drive him rehab after I cleaned him up I don't know how much longer she would be my friend! After a robbery attempt at the Salon the same day, she and Hunter are basically inseparable. Not only has their lust taken over but he will not leave her unprotected.

Hunter has been investigating her family for 3 years. She has been estranged from them for 10 years and doesn't even use their last name, she uses her mother's maiden name. They are not quite 'mob' but are into money laundering and other illegal activity. They want her back into the family fold but she won't have anything to do with them.

Things start to happen; a robbery at her salon, a man following her. The man ends up being her youngest brother and he says the family sent him after her but he didn't know it was her until then. They are using him.

The "love" story is good but some of the other storyline is vague. Her father is downright evil and I had the feeling he wouldn't care if she were dead, as long as she came back into the family fold and he could control her.

Good things are happening for Hunter and Grace though. They continue to grow closer and closer. Everyone tells her he is crazy about her but she is afraid to believe it. He takes her to his mothers house over a weekend because she is going out of town ans he loves being in his family home. Her trip is disrupted and she is home that night and by the next morning all his sisters are there. It was sweet.

I probably would have given this book a "2" because of the vagueness but like I said, I liked the love story. The ending gave me such a good feeling that I could overlook some of the other things.

I quickly became engrossed in this story of Grace and Hunter. Their relationship was so real, their emotions so touching, and the sex too hot! The plot was intriguing, and kept me guessing- who was good? Who was bad? I liked the supporting characters and simply cannot wait for the next installment!

Crossed is the prequel to the Crossed series. This is the first book I've read by Lacey and it was an enjoyable read. I loved Grace and Hunter and the way they met and the progression of their relationship. There's action, suspense, and hot steamy scenes that makes this is a good read. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

I love the connection that Grace and Hunter had with each other. Lots of suspense, spice, and love.

The friendship between Grace and Emma also added a lot to the story.

An okay read. There was some storyline and developement but too much sex filling up the pages in between. I love a good romance book but felt this was lacking in developement from the two main characters. I wish there was more explained for Hunter and why he was the way he was " cavemanish" besides the fluff of I was undercover as a homeless man or his brief description of past trauma. Storyline was great but wanted more drama.

I loved the Layers of Trilogy series...and was not dissapointed with Crossed! Hunter is hard, hot & sexy as hell! I defiantly recommend this book....now to continue reading the Crossed series...

Anyone who likes erotica or graphic romance novels, I recommend this book. It is a great love story with a little suspense added. Lacey Silks is one of my favorite authors. This book is also free right now on most platforms.
