Enjoyed this story. Enjoyed reading both points of view. Enjoyed the characters. Did snort in disbelief a couple of times at that big ol bad Ex ops guy acting like a spoiled brat but expecting his 'girl' to act grown up.

The book was good and emotional and had some very hot loving going on that was not on every page, but sizzling there waiting for it to happen. The characters were great, the action was good and contained a thriller as well. My only hesitation not giving it 5 stars is because I had a hard time with their past and what he did, although by the end I liked him more. Definitely a good read that I read straight through - these are two authors under one name and I have enjoyed all of their books, so don't hesitate to read them!

I really enjoyed the first book in the series. Very hot Alpha Bobby and tough as nails Annabelle gripped me and still haven't let go. Great love story mixed in with dangerous criminal takedowns. Can't wait to start book two.

Secret Maneuvers is my first book from Jessie Lane, and all I can say is she left me gob smacked and wanting more! I loved the hell out of it, and the storyline was something completely new to me, and she’s made me fall hardcore in love with everything that involves hot military men.

Belle was a girl from the so-called wrong side of the tracks, in love with the small town golden boy, Bobby. They had a young teenage love that they thought would last forever, but of course, something comes between that dream and shatters it. Unknowing to them, their dangerous jobs would bring them back into each other’s lives 15 years later.

They’re was mistakes made on both parts, secrets kept, and misunderstandings all around, and seeing each other after so many years, all that anger and heartache resurfaces, causing an all out explosion of emotions. It’s an absolute action packed story, and I couldn’t put it down. Did I mention the group of sexy hot military men? Oh yes, that adds to the awesomeness that is Secret Maneuvers.

I really enjoyed this "all sorts of emotions" in every page book ! You can get a good feel of each character, each one with strengths and weaknesses to relate to. Looking forward in reading more in the series.

Loved all the characters and how they worked together. Great plot twist after you think they will finally have their happily ever after. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys action and a love story all in one.

Secret Maneuvers by Jessie Lane is a well written and edited military and suspense romance that is about 40% military/suspense, 40% angst-filled romance and 40% explicit sex. The beginning starts off sad and filled with regret (I hate regret). After the beginning, their relationship seemed to go downhill. I loved the easy friendship of Bobby's team and the easy way they could joke and laugh. I actually liked his team mates better than I liked him. I really liked Annabelle's character. In fact, compared to Bobby Baker, she's was a long suffering saint. Bobby's character fluctuated between likable guy and jerk. Too many times his jerk side made me want Belle to dump him and find someone better. But it became obvious that she was way too much in love with the idiot to give up on her HEA with him. So that's just what the author gave them both – a HEA.

It has something for everyone. Action, love, lost love, adventure. I would love to see a movie based on this book if it was exactly like this book. Hope every one enjoys this book as much as I did.

This book was phenomenal! This was my first Jessie Lane book and I know it will not be my last. I am fixing to start the second book in this series but wanted to take the time to give this review. This book has wonderful sexy, hot and steamy romance with angst and a suspenseful plot. The secondary character's are equally as wonderful as the main characters Bobby and Belle. I can't wait for Jessie to give us the stories for the other characters. She has developed a world of suspense and adventure that takes sucks you right in from page one. The relationship between the guys on the Ex Ops team is wonderful with very funny scenes that help balance the very intense moments the book has. Now on to Stripping Her Defenses. . :-)

This book reminded me of Kristen Ashley 's style and especially her book Creed. I loves this book on so many levels, the hero/heroine had off the chart chemistry, and the backup characters were so good I hope they each have their own book too, especially Declan and his brother Riley! I read this book in a few hours and literary could not put it down! Can't wait for more books in this series. The writing duo of Jessie Lane is very talented and anyone who buys this book will not be disappointed! Truly!

This is a well-written, complex, and interesting romantic suspense; it is somewhat predictable, but that does not take away from an excellent story. The Rivera Cartel is horrifically violent and looks like they have someone in the United States helping them with drugs, weapons, and sex trafficking. The ATF Agents Boyd and Roberts are getting help from an Ex Ops Team who specialize in "hostage rescue, high target bodyguards, and security".
The love story is amazing! Hot, Hot, and more Hot. The suspense just keeps coming! The story takes place over 15 years and the characters are wonderful and well-described.

I don't usually read 2nd chance romance very often but I'm glad I read this one. This the first time of me reading this author and I really like the way she writes. I was sucked into the story and it was so believable. I could see everything happening as I was reading it. This book also made me cry like 5 times.

Will definitely be reading more of this author!

I regret this purchase. This man in a real dunce. I wanted to bash his head in and after the third time he was a cruel moron to the heroine. I wished she would move on and let him go. I will not buy more books by this author
