The day that I went around he was saved by the most beautiful woman. For the last five years he thought that was Celeste. He was wrong. So after his divorce and selling his house he's back at the same bed and breakfast where new life was breathed into him.
Will he finally realized what Maren did for him?

Maren saved Owen from drowning and her best friend Chelsea married him and then cheated on him, so he came back to Monterey to see if he could find peace but he finds maren instead. Maren is about to lose her families bed and breakfast and her friend Hettie suggests that she get him to invest in her bed and breakfast but maren loves Owen so she says she won't. Owen and maren fall in love and then he hears Hettie and maren talking and he thinks he is being used again so he leaves but then he buys her bed and breakfast and comes back to give it to her and then they find out their pregnant and four years later Gaby is pestering her parents with tons of questions.

Beautiful Encounter

Beautiful imagery by Ms. Hart to elucidate her "Beautiful Encounter" novel. Such an appropriate title for the aligning of the male and female main characters in sweet intimacy. Magnetized toward each other; they almost feel a compulsion to be with each other. The story was easy to read and flowed along very well. This is a novel all romance enthusiasts should read.

I Highly Recommend OVER 18 DUE TO CONTENT. Loved this book it takes you on an emotional roller coaster and the storyline is intense.
Maren is the owner of the "Old Raven's Gem" bed and breakfast. Her best friend Chelsea ran off with Owen and then broke his heart.
Owen Carter is divorced and can not seem to get over Chelsea. He wants a change of scenery and so he decides to go back to Monterey where he first met is ex. He can not explain it but he is drawn there.

Owen returns to the town where he visited 5 years earlier where he nearly drowned but was saved by his now ex-wife Chelsea. He’s staying at the same b&b where he did before and seems to connect with Maren the owner and also Chelsea’s best friend whiles he’s there. But Owen keeps having nightmares of the day he almost drowned and every time sees Chelsea saving him but soon the dream changes and he now sure it was Chelsea at all. Maren has had feeling for Owen for 5 years but just sat back and watched him fall in love with her best friend but now that he’s back and divorced will things change.

A modern update spin of the "Little Mermaid" story only this is a yummier adult version (but with no mermaids). Owen falls in love with the wrong woman & years later, he returns to the seaside B&B to figure out his new path in his life & healing his broken heart. Maren owns the B&B & knows Owen from 5 yrs ago. This novel is a delight to read, with the right magic to pull you into the story from the first sentence & ends with a HEA.

About time Owen eyes where opened to see the real person who saved his life 5 years ago when he was drowning in the ocean, not only that but opening his heart up again, this time to the right person Maren. There love for each other has been pure and strong. They know have a baby girl named Gabby, and still running the bed and breakfast together. *Spoilers*

This book is amazing. It takes the heartbreak of one character and melds it with the sadness of another. After a few years they have been drawn back to each other. This is well written as it brings the story full circle and makes you cheer at the end. You will enjoy this book.

I read an ARC of this book and have given this review most willingly. All the comments are mine and mine alone.

Owen thought he found the woman of his dreams, more like she turned out to be the opposite. Maren was the one he was searching for, the one who really rescued him that fateful day and it took some good hard looking at the accident to make him realize what was right in front of him. Such a wonderful retelling of the little mermaid!!! I could not put it down.

Although it's not quite a Little Mermaid retelling (only thing in common is the sea and the heroine's features), it's a great love story about a woman who saves a man from drowning but doesn't take credit for it and the man who remains haunted by the event.

the story was beautifully written. I can relate to what Owen was feeling, his sorrow, his anguish and the light he felt with Maren. I wouldn’t call Maren a saint but she was the kindest protagonist I know. The story will touch your heart.

This is a great story with misunderstanding, love and devotion. I am not a fan of instant love and think there needs to be some discovery of who each other is. The writing is very well done though.

This story was short and sweet. Even though it was a short read ( at least for me, lol) I didn't feel robbed of the story, the plot, or the dynamics. It was well written and I felt for the characters, their hardships. If you want a quick, sweet read, I recommend this book.
