The Island

An absolutely wonderful read. In many ways, not your typical love story but certainly one that will engage the reader and have them glued to the pages right to the very interesting and very surprising end.

I really enjoyed the sassy, smart intern, Kendra and laughed a lot when she talked about how her dad had "trained" his girls. Seems Mr. Sexy (Eli) really met his match when she walked into his world.

This is not your typical alpha male read...both lead characters are strong, capable individuals who had to learn how to navigate their way through a relationship in ways neither of them ever expected.

I am not telling you ANYTHING about the story because I want you to discover it entirely on your own, page-by-page. You will laugh, gasp, hold your breath and in the end, love every moment!!! It's a real page turner : ) A big thanks to Ms. Ward - she did it again and the book gets a well deserved 5 stars !!!

Awesome introduction for me to the wonderful writing of Alice Ward. Smitten is a mild description of what happens to CEO Eli Reed when he meets intern Kendra Baxter. This scene is just the beginning of many laugh out loud moments in The Island, more than any other book I can remember. I loved the characters. Kendra is an interesting mix of innocence and maturity. I loved her boldness. Eli is a womanizer who has closed himself off to any idea of a relationship with a woman that doesn't begin and end with sex. His mind is only on one thing after he meets Kendra until they crash on the island and he is forced to face a few truths. The sexual tension and between Kendra and Eli is incredible. Also, I can't not mention Kendra's retired Navy SEAL father, who is a hoot. There are many great things in this funny, sweet, sexy romance especially the snappy dialogue and lovely epilogue. I loved it.

Kendra Baxter is an new intern at Key Industries which is run by billionaire Eli Reed. Eli chooses Kendra to mentor for the summer. He is immediately attracted to her and he quickly decides that he has to have her. Not forever of course because his playboy ways won't let him get to close to any woman. However, it isn't an easy task. Kendra was raised by a SEAL who taught his daughters to never settle for anything less than. what they deserve. When he can't seem to break through Kendra's hard exterior and strong will Eli plans a trip to Scotland in hopes to 'seal the deal'. What he didn't expect is to be taken hostage and crash landing on a deserted island before they could make it to Scotland. Both of their patience is being tested as they struggle to not only survive but to get along. But what happens on the island doesn't just stay on the island and now they face a new danger.....they have to tell Kendra's father everything.

Another great book! Eli is a successful businessman. Growing up he had a wonderful childhood till his mom passed away. His father lost the semblance of love in his life so Eli lives his life the same way. When He meets Kendra he has an immediate connection? She's a company intern. Is it because she's beautiful? She doesn't put up with him? Doesn't give in to him? Kendra was raised with some good morals. She has her head on straight and is in the big apple to get experience to succeed in her career not get mixed up with boys. It does take a while to get to the island but the backstory is completely necessary. I loved it. The way Alice writes about the connection and how this progresses is such s great smooth transition. I couldn't put the book down. I finished in one sitting. I loved the way the book went to completion. I felt complete resolution. I read this book for an honest review. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next. Enjoy!!

I'm sitting here looking at the blinking cursor and realizing I haven't quite recovered from the book yet. I'm wondering how do I put into words what I just went through and make it more meaningful than "it was good" or "it was hot" without giving away the whole plot of the story. There's so much going on in this book that it almost feels like a two-book bundle. First, there's everything that leads up to "the island". Then the island and everything that happens after adds so much more dimension to the relationship between Eli and Kendra. They're such a good match for each other. They’re alpha enough to keep one another on their toes and liberated enough that, with the right partner, they can give up control too. I loved watching them both learn how to gracefully let go of that control. I can't wait to see what comes next from the talented mind of Alice Ward.

A good read, a little different to the average billionaire book, Eli is extremely egotistical when i read the first part of the book, but its clear that without the proper role models and love in his life that he had no idea how wonderful life could be if he allowed these things in his life, hes a typical alpha male that is strong, privileged and gets what he wants until he meets one intern Kendra. Life changed for him when he met her, he didn't know that he could love someone so deeply, he had to learn that he needed to be gentle with her but still share enough passion.
When they become trapped there i thought it would be a quick short time on the island and wouldn't have to survive long, but was pleasantly surprised that they managed to keep themselves well enough to survive for that length. Alice Ward has another winner on her hands, IMO. It was a great book that captures your attention at the beginning and keeps you page turning and wanting more. Eli, a billionaire CEO who always got what he wanted and when he met 22 year old Kendra, he knew he had to have her. Her dad was a Navy seal and he raised his daughters to have standards. Morals and no sex before marriage. Kendra had no intentions of being her playboy boss's next fling. He plans a business trip to Scotland and has her come along so he can continue his pursuit. Their plane crashes from a botched kidnapping attempt and they are stranded on a deserted island. As they try to survive they take comfort in each other. No spoiler so I can't say more without giving the plot away. It's a well written book with a strong emotional story line and great characters. A pleasure to read. I received an advance copy and voluntarily chose to review it.

If you are looking for an arrogant prick that will grow on you, and a strong heroine that can hold her own against his onslaught of appropriate comments and actions - this is a book for you. If you are looking for a realistic story without creative liberties taken to enhance the character, you might not enjoy this one as much.

Alice Ward brings us Kendra and Eli - a SEAL's daughter and the subject of Elis attention vs her billionaire, cocky counterpart. While traveling their plane is hijacked (albeit a weaker part of the story, how else were they going to get to the island?!) forcing them to survive on, you guessed it, the island. There's some mighty anger and animosity that comes out between them, while trying to survive; but do not despair - a wonderfully hilarious meeting between Eli and her father, as well as a wonderful HEA.

Nothing brings out the true character of a person more than a crisis situation: just ask anyone who has ever stared death in the face. Author Alice Ward has provided us with a great glimpse of that with her two superbly crafted characters, billionaire Eli and his intern Kendra. I found both the plot of this novel as well as its characters to be richly developed and highly detailed. The tension between Eli and Kendra is palpable as they deal with their attraction to each other in the workplace as well as their personality differences. But when they’re forced to rely on each other to survive following their plane crash, well… it’s safe to say things change. People change. Perspectives change. All of this makes for a beautiful and gripping story masterfully written. I understood their challenges, fear, angst, joy, growth, and passion. It made glorious sense. This is the stuff fantasies are made of.

I volunteered to reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This book piqued my interest from the very beginning. I was captured from the first page and my imagination took off in all directions. Needless to say, I haven't slept much in the last couple days because I just couldn't put this book down. The storyline begins with Kendra starting a new Internship with one of the greatest and richest financial advisors, Eli Reed. Eli, a womanizing bachelor wants more than to just take her under his wing to teach her the business, he also wants to teach her in the sack. Not only is this book hot and steamy it is very suspenseful. I don't want to give anything away so I'll just say there are many twists and turns you will not suspect that will keep you on your toes keep you totally engrossed until the very last page.
This book will no doubt make the top 10 and will probably be number 1.

Eli Reed is a very wealthy CEO of Key Ventures and he's a real playboy he hires Kendra to intern at Key Ventures she can feel the chemistry between herself and Eli but he's her boss and she likes her job so she not going there. Later they end up in a plane crash on an island where it's just them and thing turn rather hot and steamy but not without conflict the sex scenes are so hot this is a must read you don't want to miss it's got drama, secrets, passion, humor twists and turns its an all around great read. Alice Ward wrote an amazing storyline with terrific character it's a real page turner I highly recommend to read it won't disappoint.

Kendra is the daughter of a Navy Seal, who has raised her with morals, self worth, and old time principles. She is in NY for a summer internship with Hey Ventures.
Eli is the CEO of Key Ventures, and he chooses Kendra to be his intern. He is drawn to her, and he wants her in his bed. But Kendra has self worth and old time principles, It is never going to happen.
On their way to a business meeting in Scotland they are drugged, Eli is out, but since Kendra doesn't drink her drink she is listening to what is going on around her. When Eli wakes several hours later they try to figure out what to do to survive. When the plane crashes and they end up on a deserted island they find the chemistry they have, along with the deep caring and love. But will the romance end when they are rescued?

I enjoyed reading The Island. I loved the main characters and always smiled at the conversations Kendra had with her father. The conversation between a rich CEO and the headstrong, family-oriented young intern he selects to mentor is snappy and fun. Kendra has had a strict upbringing with her Seal father and Navy mother and has no intention of letting any man deter her from her goal to become a successful businesswoman. Eli, the playboy, has to make significant changes in his lifestyle and his personal outlook to become the man who Kendra wants and the man he can be. After being taken hostage and surviving a plane crash on a deserted island, Kendra and Eli learn how to not only survive but thrive with each other's love. Once found and returned to civilization, Kendra must assure herself of Eli's love and commitment. This books packs a lot of growing up and growing wise in it to reach the HEA.

Eli Reed the CEO of a successful company is attracted to Kendra who is at his company with a bunch of other college graduates looking for mentors. With one look Eli wants Kendra who is clearly not impressed or interested. After awhile Kendra excepts him as her mentor but not everybody is thrilled with this turn of events. What happens when a trip to Scotland goes wrong and they end up stranded in paradise on a beautiful island. All alone on this island and no way to get help, well Kendra follow her heart and forget the rules drilled in to her by her father and will Eli get the girl. But what happens when Eli wants to stay on the island and Kendra wants to leave? Are they truly stranded here or will Eli find them and way home? This story did not impress me. It did not capture my attention the way I hoped it would. This is just another young naive virgin that somehow managed to get the playboy billionaire to fall in love and marry her story. The only redeeming part of this book, in my opinion, was how they ended up on the Island. I would have probably enjoyed it more if this was not another typical cookie cutter billionaire romance.

Very enjoyable, with good writing and no grammar/typo problems! At first I thought the hero was a disgusting sexist (which he was at the beginning), and that the heroine was a naive stupid woman (which she was). And yet, there was very creative humor in it. For example, he said, "With sexual harassment being all the rage..." and "when I stepped into the pit of despair, as I called the place the lowest people on our company's ladder worked...."

I finally started looking at the story as kind of a satire, sat back and got involved with it and with the development of the characters. It hooked me, both with the story, their romance, and the wit of the writer -- especially in the head of Eli and between the two of them. There was plenty of very fun dialogue as well as tenderness. I recommend this book.

I received this as an advanced reader copy for an honest review. Wow, that's all I can say, I had a book hang over from this one. Kendra has a summer internship at Key Ventures where Eli is the CEO. Sparks fly from their first meeting, and Eli isn't used to being told "no". He will do about anything to get her in his bed, and plans a business trip to Scotland as an attempt to make it happen. With out giving too much away, that resulted in a plane crash and well as the title says "The Island" I just couldn't put the book down I wanted to know what Eli was going to cook up next and how Kendra was going to strike him down because of her strong morals. She's a bit stubborn, but I think one has to be in order to tame Eli. Throw in a bit of suspense which I wasn't expecting and it was a perfect book

The book had potential, but it fell flat. Kendra was a great spunky character that knew what she wanted in her career and relationships. Eli was the playboy billionaire that took her in as his intern and wanted to sleep with her. There was some romance and intrigue, but it all revolved around him wanting to sleep with her. Could have been written better. I voluntarily reviewed this book.

Told in alternating POVs, this is a sexy romance between womanizing CEO Eli Reed and naive virgin intern Kendra Baxter. From their first meeting, there is insta-lust on Eli's part and he aggressively pursues Kendra to the point of sexual harassment. The author added the island twist to the standard playboy boss and virgin intern storyline to make it unique. The witty, funny, snarky, flirtatious banter between the main characters flowed naturally. There are moments of tenderness countered by displays of immaturity and bouts of irresponsibility which made me emotionally frustrated and confused. The story is layered with enough drama, intrigue, some twists and sizzling chemistry to be an almost romance in my opinion.

A very entertaining story with tons of drama between the main characters. I found much of that drama humourous but it does get a little immature as their bickering goes on. Eli is in his thirties and a CEO, it just started to scream temper tantrum to me. Kendra is waiting for Mr. Right and has no intention of giving into Eli, Mr. Right Now.
The story really picks up on the trip to Scotland. Suddenly Eli and Kendra are focused on survival. There are a lot of tense moments while they fight for their lives and many very tender moments as they both realize that love has snuck up on them. Overall a very entertaining story with plenty of adventure, heartache, trust issues and smokin hot chemistry. Voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader's copy of this book.

What a great love story! I love how well developed the storyline was. This was no Insta-love, fall into bed, they lived happily ever after. This was a much more realistic, slow burning, let's-get-to-know-each-other-before-we-jump-into-bed, type book!

The sexual chemistry was smokin' hot, the anticipation was at max level and the twists were unexpected, but appreciated!

I have to admit that I was nervous to read this after SEAL'd Heart had touched me so deeply. I was afraid that I would compare this book to that one and find that it left much to be desired. However, the only thing this book left was, a smile on my face, a good feeling in my belly, and a desire for more!

Another awesome entitled billionaire playboy finds romance and challenges. Eli grew up with money but he worked and played hard. He wasn't looking for love and avoided it. Kendra came to his company as a college intern. She is the oldest of 3 daughters both her parents were in the military. Her dad was a former Navy SEAL so he taught his daughters early now to defend and take pride in themselves. Eli was dumbfounded by his attraction to Kendra and she didn't understand her attraction to him. Adversity and danger are ahead of them so you'll need to read this book to see what happens during extremely difficult conditions. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. Ward.

This is another great book by Alice Ward. The story begins at a steady pace and becomes more and more intense as it unravels. The book title seems symbolic as it signified more than a place that was essential for both protagonists to learn and understand themselves and each other better as extreme circumstances reveal a person's true character.
Both strong and willful, one womanizer and one virgin that saved herself for marriage, both set in their ways, took care of each other on that island and fell in deep all-consuming love. What a fantastic, passionate story! The plot is enthralling and executed with great skill. I highly recommend this book for everyone who enjoys romance and adventure.

Eli, the playboy boss, meets Kendra, the virgin intern who has grown up saving herself for marriage. She comes from a military family, where ideals were instilled in her sisters and her from an early age. Eli came from a loving family, that changed when his mother died; and putting him on a different path. Even though they come from two different types of families, they still come together and grow to love each other. They get in a situation that they have to survive through, and thus come out on the other side of it changed for the better. This is a stand alone with a HEA, and no cheating. I would recommend this story, because Ms Alice Ward has a way with words.

Alice Ward's stories are priceless and they can keep you riveted from the first to the last page! Kendra gets an internship at Key Venture and the minute the CEO Eli sees her, he wants her as his own. What he did know was that this girl is sassy and her father the Navy Seal instilled some serious rules on what a young woman should expect and look for. Eli tries everything he knows to get his hands and her, but he's striking out all the time. One day he decides to take her on a business trip and they are taken hostage and they end up on a deserted island on the coast of Scotland. They get very close and when the times come he will be her knight in shinning armor. This is a great story a must read this summer. I voluntarily reviewed an arc.

I really enjoyed reading this action adventure mixed in with a whole lot of sexual tension! Kendra is in New York for the her summer internship. Eli experinces lust at first sight and decides to be her mentor. The sexual attraction is there, but Kendra is saving her self for Mr. Right. This story seems a little predictable until it doesn't. Eli has arranged for a private jet to take them to Scotland for 'business' but unfortunately some crazy stuff goes down ( gotta read to what crazy stuff I'm talking about) and the two end up stuck on a island. Overall great book although I found Kendra to be annoying at times. Another complaint is that it ended at 31%, although the author threw some bonus stories I did not read.

** spoiler alert ** Eli watched his father fall apart after his mother dates and vowed to be a playboy and never settle down. Kendra was raised with a strict set of morals and is determined to wait for love to give away her virginity. Instant attraction blooms, but Kendra is determined to deny Eli. Will Eli be able to prove he's after her heart as much as her body? Will Kendra and Eli be able to be rescued in time?

Another Alice Ward hit! Loved how Eli was pretty much dedicated to Kendra from the beginning. Kendra drove me up the wall a couple of times, BUT when something is drilled into your head for years, its not easy to drop it immediately. Loved the ending these two got! Great book and a hot read!

If your prudish about sexual scenes, or prejudicial on step brother/sister ROMANCE, even though they are related NOT by blood, or are homophobic. Then You might not want to read this story. Your loss!!!
For those of us who don't care what someone else's sexual orientation is, might actually enjoy this story. It's actually 3 love stories.
Male windowed father of a 'daughter'.
Female widowed mother of a 'son'.
Male single gay, employed by 1st Male mentioned & good friend to his daughter.
I never knew there was a prejudice against **non blood related step children** falling in love and marrying.
Lots of twists n turns, ups and downs, misunderstandings. Excellent story.

Another Amazing book by Alice Ward! This book had me hooked from the 1st page. Extremely well written!
Kendra is a gorgeous, college student who was raised in a military family with very high values.. She doesn't want to give up her virginity until she meets Mr.Right and gets married.
Eli is a gorgeous,playboy billionaire who has never wanted a relationship.. until he meets Kendra. He tries to make her jealous but she is not taking the bait.
When they have to fight for their lives and get stranded on an island, their love and protectiveness comes out full force.
This book is a must read!

I just love books that have a strong smart heroine. Kendra is a new intern in Eli's business who selects her as his intern. She has him pegged rightly as a womanizing playboy. Her ex-SEAL dad taught her well so she is a strong moral person determined to hold her own. After an accident they are stranded and things go from there. This is a well written book with such chemistry between Kendra and Eli that is smoking hot, very likeable characters, funny banter and suspense and drama filled. You will enjoy this book immensely as they work their way to their HEA. Highly recommend.

This book will have you laughing, cursing and swooning.. I didn't want to put it down. I even snuck a few pages in on break at work.
The chemistry between the two was off the charts and I loved how Kendra held on to her values until she was ready to let go of them.
I don't see the twist coming, so that was great.
The only part I didn't totally agree with was the return scene, but I to had an over bearing military dad that I had to follow his rule until I left home, but she had left home so I was a little upset with Kendra at her reaction in that scene but totally got over it and understood her the rest of the book.

Kendra Baxter is meeting the Key Ventures and CEO Eli Reed for a intern job and when she first sees him he has a women hanging on him and lipstick all over his mouth so she pegs him a playboy and does not want anything to do with him but work and Eli Reed sees her and wants her and peruse but one day the plane crashes on a diseurted Island and he wants more from her she has skills her Dad was a navy seal and he taught her well but on the Island he wants to protect her fall in love with Kendra all the way and so is she but the fun has began. lol I loved it funny hot sexy and exciting I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. I chose this rating because this was pretty interesting book. I really enjoyed the characters. I liked the way Kendra was holding back from having sex with Eli. She was a strong woman. Eli's secretary was a little loony. She should have been fired. She was flirting with him everyday. I was happy Kendra and Eli finally got together, but not the way that it happened. Th Eli did his thang on the plane. He did all them guys in, with his ladies help. Kendra's dad was very strick with her and her sisters. I'm glad everything turned out great for them. This was a really good book. Great, great read. Very interesting.

Alice Ward is one of my favourite authors. I have not read a book of hers I didn't love and I was impatiently waiting to read The Island and I want disappointed. This story follows Eli and Kendra. Eli is the CEO of Key Ventures and Eli Is meeting with a group of new hires to choose an intern who will work directly with him. Before he can even formally greet them, he spots Kendra, and something about her draws him in but Kendra quickly pegs him as a playboy. Eli wants Kendra but he had no idea just how hard he’d have to work to win her over. A spectacular book - I couldn't put it down - I dare to say this is Alice's best book!

Wow! This was an amazing read! I loved the characters! Kendra was awesome! Loved her smart mouth and not letting Eli get away with things! It was fast paced and I really love a gal that sticks to her morals! I loved Eli too! He didn't give up on her. It was action-paced and I couldn't put it down once I started. The plot was interesting. It flowed smoothly throughout. The characters were well-developed. I loved how Alice Ward took the epilogue way out into the future. A really great read - one that I will be adding to my personal Kindle library!

Kendra is a daughter of a Navy SEAL, who is self-reliant and sure of herself, she is an absolute delight of a character. Eli is frustrated at every turn as she does not want anything, especially sex from him. No spoilers for the story but this is an extreme ride and late night page-turner that you have to continue reading to find the next twist or turn. Excellent story, great characters and interactions. Highly recommend reading this book.

She did it again another great story. Alice Ward has a very distinctive way of writing and her story plots even if they are one that has been done before she puts her own unique spin on it. Her characters are always interesting and people you either have or wish you did know. I loved the h dad in this book and how h processed his " advice/ words of wisdom" in her thoughts when dealing with the H. The Island has a little bit of everything including a couple of Lol lines. Its a good read I definitely recommend The Island

Alice did not disappoint. Really enjoyed reading this book; cover to cover this evening! It was snarky, angsty, funny, heartwarming, suspenseful, and happy. Eli is a real horn-dog drooling after his new intern complete with sexual harassment. Kendra is a sheltered (daddy was a Navy Seal) college student from North Carolina doing an internship at Eli's company in New York. After crashing on a deserted island near Scotland, Eli does a 180 and turns into a caring human being. Lots more goings on, so buy the book for a buck and sit back and enjoy!!

WOW!! Put one VERY frustrated bad boy billionaire, one equally frustrated but determined virgin and a deserted island into the mix and what do you get? One captivating, thrilling novel of epic proportions. Without spoiling the fun of reading it for yourself, I can honestly say the plot was amazing with all the twists and turns and secondary character development. Eli Reed definitely met his match the day Kendra Baxter entered his building for an internship with his company.
I highly recommend this book to anybody looking for more than just a run-of-the-mill romance story.

The chemistry between the two was off the charts and I loved how Kendra held on to her values until she was ready to let go of them.
I don't see the twist coming, so that was great.
The only part I didn't totally agree with was the return scene, but I to had an over bearing military dad that I had to follow his rule until I left home, but she had left home so I was a little upset with Kendra at her reaction in that scene but totally got over it and understood her the rest of the book.

I voluntarily received an ARC for an honest review. I was surprised how different this book felt from the authors usual work. I think I've read all her work so far, and this one seems like a different direction, but in a good way. The story was interesting, suspenseful, and the characters were great. Kendra is immediately attracted at her boss, but knows he's a play boy. She's looking for Mr. Right, and she fights her attraction. Eli can't stop thinking about his new intern to the point of distraction. When the unthinkable happens, can he prove she means more than just a one night stand? The island will test them both. Great story!

I chose this rating because this was pretty interesting book. I really enjoyed the characters. I liked the way Kendra was holding back from having sex with Eli. She was a strong woman. Eli's secretary was a little loony. She should have been fired. She was flirting with him everyday. I was happy Kendra and Eli finally got together, but not the way that it happened. Th Eli did his thang on the plane. He did all them guys in, with his ladies help. Kendra's dad was very strick with her and her sisters. I'm glad everything turned out great for them. This was a really good book. Great, great read. Very interesting.

Alice Ward is one of my favourite authors. I have not read a book of hers I didn't love and I was impatiently waiting to read The Island and I want disappointed. This story follows Eli and Kendra. Eli is the CEO of Key Ventures and Eli Is meeting with a group of new hires to choose an intern who will work directly with him. Before he can even formally greet them, he spots Kendra, and something about her draws him in but Kendra quickly pegs him as a playboy. Eli wants Kendra but he had no idea just how hard he’d have to work to win her over. A spectacular book - I couldn't put it down - I dare to say this is Alice's best book!

Wow! This was an amazing read! I loved the characters! Kendra was awesome! Loved her smart mouth and not letting Eli get away with things! It was fast paced and I really love a gal that sticks to her morals! I loved Eli too! He didn't give up on her. It was action-paced and I couldn't put it down once I started. The plot was interesting. It flowed smoothly throughout. The characters were well-developed. I loved how Alice Ward took the epilogue way out into the future. A really great read - one that I will be adding to my personal Kindle library!

Loved it. Eli and Kendra were off the charts. Chemistry at every corner. I had so much respect for Kendra. She had such self respect and discipline and no amount of seducing was going to compromise her morals. Eli just didn't know how to take Kendra. Was she serious? Even a moron could tell she wanted him, what was her deal? No one ever said no to Eli. The beauty of this story is watching them fight themselves. It takes a plane crash and a deserted island to get them to realize just how much the other means to them. Add in some harsh and strict family values and you have some sweet conflict. Not to mention the kidnappers.

Kendra is a daughter of a Navy SEAL, who is self-reliant and sure of herself, she is an absolute delight of a character. Eli is frustrated at every turn as she does not want anything, especially sex from him. No spoilers for the story but this is an extreme ride and late night page-turner that you have to continue reading to find the next twist or turn. Excellent story, great characters and interactions. Highly recommend reading this book.

A playboy boss wants a college intern who has been trained by her SEAL dad to be tough as nail and does not fall for him easily, even though she is attracted to him. When their plane to Ireland crashes in the ocean, they swim to an isolated island for survival. They become intimate to each other and admit their love to each other. Life doesn’t stay easy as on the island when they are back in civilization. Her self-doubt is heart wrenching. His love gets them back together. I love the story. It is the kind of love everyone yearns for.

Marvelous incredible read. Kendra is an intern at Key Venture Inc. From the moment Eli Reed saw her, he was drawn to her, but Kendra wanted to keep things strictly business, so Eli decided what better way to get what he wanted than to take a trip to Scotland, things didn't happen as planned and ended up on a deserted Island. Enjoyed the bickering between both characters had a great Epilogue. I would Highly recommend this spectacular sweet Read.

She did it again another great story. Alice Ward has a very distinctive way of writing and her story plots even if they are one that has been done before she puts her own unique spin on it. Her characters are always interesting and people you either have or wish you did know. I loved the h dad in this book and how h processed his " advice/ words of wisdom" in her thoughts when dealing with the H. The Island has a little bit of everything including a couple of Lol lines. Its a good read I definitely recommend The Island

I absolutely loved this book and not just for the cover. Which I love. It was so refreshing to read something different than your typical billionaires bad boy books. It will have you on the edge of your seat, staying up late to finish, and reaching for some tissues at the end.
Eli and Kendra had their ups and downs but learned to work together as a team to build the best relationship. And the epilogue was the best! I would definitely recommend this book to everyone.
