What a great book! My family personalized it for my sister’s birthday by writing encouraging notes on each page. A beautifully illustrated reminder of just how lucky the world is to have you in it! :)

So I totally love the words/message of this book. And that's primarily why I gave it four stars instead of three. That being said there are a few really annoying things about this book. For one: the text is really small for a children's book in the physical book itself and especially in the kindle version and there's no way to zoom in like in her other kindle books. Also, the text isn't very evenly distributed on the pages. This probably only bothers me because when reading to my two-year-old, the pictures are at least as much if not more interesting than the story and there's several pages in the middle with like two words on them but beautiful pictures, then one page with like five pages worth of text on it. Maybe its my OCD that I want to read all the text before turning the page? But she doesn't have the patience for that one page. Plus, and this is probably nit-picky, the pictures only kind of have relevance to the story. They're sort of like a separate artistic something. Which is kinda cool, I guess, but the story itself I would have loved to see in the pictures. Specifically the part where your day doesn't go as planned but good can still come from it (this is mostly on that one annoying page). Felt like that was such a good message and so well written but not really portrayed in the pictures at all. There's a kangaroo kicking a ball to a boy in the page right before and looks like he's going to miss it. But all the text about it is on the next page and the picture on that page is him pushing a giraffe out of the water (like what??). That being said, this is still a book my daughter frequently picks as one of the bedtime books to read.

This wonderful book found its way into my recommendations, and I am SO GLAD it did! By the same author of "On the Night You Were Born", another keeper, "You're Here For A Reason" beautiful children's book tells your child that no matter what, even on those tough days, he/she is here for a reason. No matter how small or insignificant they may feel, there would be an unimaginable rift if they weren't here. The warmth and contentment I could feel from my 6 year old son as I read this to him was just perfect. This is exactly what I would've written if I could put beauty to these words as the author did. Thank you!
