My Commander (Bewitched and Bewildered Book 1)

Thank you the store for recommending this series and author based on my browsing history!!! I was wholeheartedly surprised and absolutely fell in love with the characters and the series so much so that I ravaged through all ten books (so far in the series) all within a week ... and only because I had to go to work the next few mornings or it would’ve totally been a shorter marathon.

If you have a fondness for manga and have that type of imagination when reading, then Alanea Alder’s works and quirky characters will completely draw you into her worlds.

This by far is my favorite series. I reread this series every time I'm between books or if I just want to enjoy myself. I LOVE the characters, love that each character continues in the series, the humor is laugh out loud hilarious and I can't say it enough - this is my fav series of all time.

What a fun read. I prefer aliens to shape shifter but man Alder nailed this story. Her description and attention to human behavior had me cracking up. I had tears in my eyes at the tampon buying store scene. The characters are so fun and lively. The men are strong yet inept which is spot on in a woman world. I will definitely buy the next book I can't wait to see the klutz meet grace! Need a laugh? Open the book and enjoy.

Another take on PNR, this one includes shifters, vampires, witches, and the fae (oh my). The heroine is very quirky and a little psych, but all in good fun. Is is very much insta-love, so if that isn’t your thing probably not the book for you.

I liked it. Feisty women characters always gave me a thrill and pulls me Into the storyline. A new author add to my library and she is off to a good start. The only complaint I have the readers were left at the end of the novel with questions pertaining to the attackers motive towards Meryn.

I LOVE this series! The characters are well drawn, the action captivating, and the humor wonderful. I am halfway through the third book, and will be anxiously awaiting the release of the fourth one. ( I also love the fact that the story continues with other characters we already know.) I am going to start on the other series carried by the store as soon as I get my next paycheck.

Adein and Meryn are the perfect couple in my eyes , she is a very outspoken human, and he is the typical over protective alpha shifter when they meet sparks and tempers fly but the love and devotion these two have will change their world

As a fellow nerd, I sincerely appreciated Meryn's vocabulary, cultural references and descriptions. As a fellow woman, I laughed so hard at the 'mission' she gave her mate and his unit that I almost choked. I can't wait to read the next book as I am also a klutz. Wonderful world building and just flat out fun!

Wonderfully entertaining. So great to read a paranormal romance with humor! The world is different and yet familiar as to make it easy to follow. Great main H/h,but then the supporting characters are well scripted enough so you know they will eventually play leading parts in future books.
Highly recommend, well worth your time and $$.

I Love these characters. They totally worm they way into your heart and the story is really good. But what really got me was in the middle of a budding romance and man hunt there is this scene about tampons that I laughed so hard over I cried. I won't spoil it for you but ladies.... it's worth the purchase for that scene alone!!!!!!! Can't wait to start the next book.

I really enjoyed this book. The humor was quirky, the interaction between the main characters was amusing and hotter the longer the book went along. I'm looking forward to reading more books in this series. I enjoyed the movie references. That may be off-putting for some but I felt it was indicative of the main character's admitted "nerdiness." It is a good length for the price.

Not too complicated for my feeble brain, but entrancing, enhancing (my library!), and romancing in a comedic, but lovable, way. I just wish that women in these stories could be on the taller side than always petite! The story had so much heart not just a sex-capade that some authors resort to. Thank you for such an enjoyable read!

Meryn is by far the funniest character I ever read! I literally love Meryn to pieces! If you are interested in witches, far, vampire, and shifters this book is it! I been reading all of Alanea Alder books and it has disappointed me yet! Get it, read it, and you won't regret it!

Loved this book. There were a few editing errors but nothing that detracted from the book as a whole. The movie references were awesome and perfectly on point for any movie lover. Although the romance goes from "don't know you" to love you at warp speed it didn't hurt the overall story.
BEST PART OF THE STORY: The warriors impromptu shopping trip! LAUGHED SO HARD I CRIED! I hope to see more of the friendly cashier in other books!

This is my first time reading this author but certainly not the last. I loved the way the characters interacted and learned to get along. The story was just fun and I'm looking forward to continuing the series.

I honestly do not read romance, erotica, etc. I'm not opposed to it. It's just not my cup of tea. There are a few sex scenes in here but I just fast forwarded through them. I absolutely loved this book. It's sweet, fun, interesting and funny. A good read.

This book had everything I like and nothing I didn't. There was a lot of laugh out loud moments and "wtf, am I reading this right" (in a good way) ridiculousness. Can't wait to read more from this series.

What a fun read. The lead female character is hysterical and completely perplexes her serious Alpha mate and everyone else. I loved all the other characters and the supernatural world they live in. Onto book #2!

I loved this story so much because of Meryn! Love this character! She is so full of emotions and has no problem releasing them! I laughed out loud several times with her antics! There are some editing problems, but I didn't care this time, it's that enjoyable! Alanea Alder, you have a new fan!

I love the storyline, the humor, the outspoken leading lady. She was smart, witty, and hilarious. The flow of the book was good and I read it in one day. Everything was explained well and there were parts of the book that I laughed so hard I startled my sleeping husband. It is a great love, adventure, funny book. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. Loved it.

If you like your romance with paranormals and humor, then you're right to read this book. I hate trying to relate how great a book is without giving away plot twists, so I'll just say that this is a VERY worthwhile read.

I really enjoyed this book. The world building was excellent and the characters people I would enjoy knowing. I read a lot, and have read lots of shifter stuff, but I enjoyed this one more than most. Funny, heartwarming, a little spicy.

Absolutely loved this book, I have had this book for awhile and finally found time to read it, Aidan is hot, this story has just the right amount of everything! Being the first in this series I am excited because there are more to read.

This book was beyond great! I was hooked from the beginning and this kept me wanting for more. I simply could not put this down until the entire book was read. Looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

This story is very well written, the story and characters are interesting and it has very funny moments as well. The men are hot and the sex quite steamy. My only criticism would be that the love making scenes could be even more steamy. But I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

I have never written a review before, so here is goes. ....I loved this book, this is probably my favorite so far. The book was well written and funny as hell, I never laughed so hard people around me looked at me as if I were losing it. I don't normally read this kind of book but it called to me and I'm glad I did. I have also read the second book in the series and it was just as good. I have the 3rd on pre-order, I can't wait. I would recommend this to any and everyone.

This series (My Commander, My Protector and My Healer) had me engrossed immediately. There was action and laugh out loud moments. These books are the reason Kindle's were invented!
I thank my lucky stars that I ordered them. Thank you Alanea for being the brillant writer that you are. I'm hoping there will be more books on this series to come..
