Scarlett did it again. The book was so good that I couldn't put it down and read it less than 24 hours. The way she brings her characters to life is amazing. I love this alternate universe that she writes about the commoners and the mysticals. The wittiness that she writes her stories will make you laugh while you read. Her surprising twist at the end will make you go back and read the first 2 novels all over again. This book is a must read and I recommend this book to all of my friends, even my mother is reading this book right now.

Sadly there were few moments that left the readers with the same emotional attachment to the main characters as in the previous books. It was worth reading, simply to get closure, but even so, too much was left up in the air.

As expected a amazing read created by Scarlett Dawn. I was completely taken into the world of Lily and Ezra. My advice to all new readers is to read from the very beginning to the very end, it will be a wild ride.

Amazing! I'm not giving any spoilers here....scarlet is absolutely amazing! I love this book and the characters and can't wait for book 4! Right from the first page this book starts with a punch and I couldn't stop reading. #teamezra

Having waited so long for the release of this book, I was sooooo excited when it finally released. Unfortunately it wasn't what I expected out of Ms. Dawn. I just didn't connect with the characters even though they were same (but not the same) characters from the two previous books. I felt the writing was disjointed and didn't flow like usual. I understand that both Ezra and Lily are completely changed after their experience, but their personalities just weren't very likable. I would have liked to have seen them go through the process of falling in love again, then getting their memories back. I would have really liked to have seen more of Jack and Pearl as well. I will still read the other books in the series, but I really hope they grab my attention just like the first two did. I appreciate all of Ms. Dawn's hard work in completing this novel for us and look forward to reading more of her books.

Thank you Scarlett Dawn for an amazing conclusion to a great series. I can't say anything without spoiling the story. But I will say that it was the conclusion to Lily's story I was hoping to read. I enjoyed the shock in the middle of the book. I will say I would have liked more of Pearl and Jack, but that is just me being greedy. Make like blackboard and hurry up with the forever nevermore sequel series. If it is as good as forever evermore you have three more purchases coming from me. Also thank you for the excellent price point.

I have to agree with the majority of other reviewers. I loved King Hall and absolutely adored King Cave. I couldn't wait for this book to come out.....and now I fInd myself asking......that's it?????? Where was all the love and passion from the last novel???? Everything I loved about Lily and Ezra were missing in this book. I couldn't wait for their reunion and it just....fell flat.....I kept thinking that we were sure to see them together - alone - but was sadly disappointed. The two sentence reunion between Jack and Pearl had more spark than Lily and Ezra's. I still can't believe after how great the first two books were that this one was so flat and yes....rushed. It was still ok.....but everything that made me love the first two...and makes me read them over and over......is sadly missing from this one...I'm just so disappointed....

After waiting a looong time for this book to come out, I can't help but be a bit disappointed at how things ended - it felt rushed, and flat. In addition, after the gut wrenching ending of book 2, I just expected a bit more out of the interactions between Ezra and Lily. Also, nothing much really happened in the book as far as story line - it was all about memory retrieval, and had very little action (sexy time, as well as butt-kicking). Lastly, it bothered me that Lily was built up to be this bad-a** shifter, but whenever I turned the next page, she was always getting stomped on. Irritating!

All in all, it wasn't a bad book, but in comparison to the first two books, it was disappointing. It's worth the read to get the story wrapped up, but don't expect it to be like books one and two.

The book was good, however, the ending felt rushed. Something was missing. I did not like how Jack and Pearl only showed up for a split second. The twist towards the end was unexpected and that was hilarious!

One of my all time favorite series is the Forever Evermore Series by Scarlett Dawn. King Hall got me hooked, King Cave had me on the line, but King Tomb didn't quite get me to eat that sinker like a great series should. In a nutshell, the story was a big disappointment. If you want this third book to wow you, or even knock your socks off, you might want to consider writing some fan-fiction. Whoever wrote this book is not the same author who wrote King Hall and King Tomb.

The lead up to this book was phenomenal! Scarlett Dawn had me on the edge of my seat and pulling out my hair for a whole year as I waited for the third book to come out. With such a startling reveal at the end of King Cave, I'm surprised she didn't do more with King Tomb. The dominos were lined up, all she needed was to push the first one down, but this is what we got. Truth be told, I don't even think it would have been that bad of a book if the build up hadn't been so enticing.

I hadn't even purchased the book yet and I knew something was wrong. The day was October 1st, 2014 (for some reason I believed the book was coming out the 1st) I went to the store to purchase the book. Right off the bat I was disappointed, mostly because it didn't come out until the 8th, and that was my fault. My review had nothing to do with the fact that I'm unintelligent and circled the wrong date on my calendar, so don't worry, the stars are not skewed because of that. After the revelation I decided to read the synopsis for the book that held me captivated. It was okay, not the best I've ever read, but definitely not the worst! What caught my attention the most was how much it sounded like a cheesy romance novel. Trust me, I've read many romance novels and most had cheesy synopsis like King Tomb. Character feels empty inside, check; standard mission/day goes haywire, check; love interests hate one another, check; secrets surfacing, check; possible destruction hangs on their decision, check again. Do you see what I mean? Despite the ridiculous synopsis, I was still eager to read the greatest book of the decade! Now, I have a thing with book lengths. I really, really, really don't like to read or pay a lot of money for short books. Especially books that are under 200 pages. King Tomb was cutting it close with approximately 209 pages. The 1st book was almost 100 pages more and the 2nd was twice as long. I must say, that was probably the biggest let down I had prior to reading the book. It was just too short.

October 8th comes along and I purchase the book the minute I wake up. Bam! Loaded for a complete day of uninterrupted quality reading time with my new BFF. I start the book, and it was actually pretty good! I had hoped the book would start off a little farther down the road, but hey, beggars (and I was begging for the book at this point) can't be choosers. The story begins with the same 'new' or 'altered' Lily that we left off with. She was obviously very dedicated to her work, so much so that she held off having her baby for 5 hrs. Holy Guacamole! Is that even possible? I've never had children so I wouldn't know, but hey, more power to her. Despite the length let down, I was anxious for the book. So I continued reading and I started to wonder when the action would happen, when I would fall head over heels in love with the series all over again. It never happened.

One of the main reasons why I loved the books were because of the way it captured my attention. It captivated me in its hypnotizing plots and characters. I felt as If I knew the people on the page, that I was some how allowed this glimpse into this fabulous world of mystics. I was given nearly everything I wanted from a book when reading the first two. Emotion, action, adventure, comedy, supernatural, and when I got to King Tomb, I was left imagining a different ending to the series. I WANTED a different book than the one that was published. It took me almost two days to read this book. In case you didn't read the previous paragraphs, it's only 209 pages. Normally I read a book like that in hours at most. I was dragging my feet through nearly every page. Where was the plot? Where were the characters I fell in love with? Where was the emotion? More importantly, where were Pearl and Jack?

I was so very, very lost in this book. Where was the plot? It seemed to me as if this last book was going to wrap up all of the questions I had in the other books. This book was filled with fluff, filler crap that doesn't belong as a main story unless it's packed full with DETAILS and DESCRIPTIONS. It most certainly does not belong in a series conclusion. The whole book was Lily diddling around with Ezra. Don't get me wrong, that alone could have been a great book, but I was led to believe there would be more or at least done better. When Lily snuck into Ezra's tent I was all like, "It's goin' down now! WooHoo!" I liked that scene, I really did. It rang of irony since I'm willing to bet every single person who read that knew it was Ezra, yet Lily didn't. It wasn't going to play out any other way. The fact that he ended up torturing her, I also found acceptable. That quickly established their new relationship and I could see the book going in so many different directions at that point. It was full of promise and potential, and then the welcome dinner happened. It was sooo ... anticlimactic. No build up or anything to suggest that it was going to happen, and WHAM! Everyone knows who the father of Isa is! I discussed the possible scenarios with how the information was going to be revealed with my friends, and during dinner was not one of those options. If the goal was to under-surprise us, consider it successful! I knew the characters were smart, right off the bat Lily knew why she had her memories taken and I loved that about all of the Forever Evermore Characters! What I don't love is anti-climatic revelations. The whole point of the end of King Cave was that she didn't have her memory! There were so many different approaches Scarlett Dawn could have gone down, and she chose that!?! So I continue to read and grow bored with the lack of direction the book was taking. Every short cut Scarlett Dawn could have taken with writing the book, she did. Page after page I skimmed through because I couldn't take the lack luster writing and lack of depth. Probably the greatest part of the book was finding out the two Elders were gay. Literally the only surprise or shock I got from this book. It was also the only thing that even faintly resembled the writing style of the last two books. The action scenes left something to be desired. It was like a summary of all the events in as few sentences as possible. Rushed is one of the many ways I would describe this book. If it was slowed down I might have appreciated a few more pages of this book. And nothing bad happened? This most definitely is not the Forever Evermore series, though I will concede that this book was the conclusion and it isn't required that books end with unhappy endings. But talk about falling flat. CLIMAX people! We need a climax or conflict that makes you feel like the book took you somewhere. I got nothing. The only climatic thing that happened was finding out, and here's a shocker, Elder Harcourt is evil! Whoa, no way! It's not like he erased everybody's memories or anything. Literally the last page.

The characters didn't have any depth whatsoever. You call whatever that was in the book emotion? I didn't shed a single tear in all 209 pages. I understand that Lily and Ezra have changed over the year, but they should still be recognizable and have human emotions and quality. I didn't feel anything for these characters. In fact my favorite character, which used to change frequently from Ezra to Lily, is Isa. Her role in the book as a thinking and contributing character is rather small, yet she got the most emotion from me which was a smile. A very small smile may I add. Where were Jack and Pearl throughout the whole book?! I didn't put up too much of a fight in King Cave because I was distracted with the blossoming relationship between Ezra and Lily, but baby Isa got more pages than the two combined! One of the main allures of the book were the relationships Ms. Dawn could construct. They were beautiful and pure and enjoyable. Why didn't I see any of that in this book? Even the relationship between Isa and her parents weren't entertaining or even emotion evoking.

I hope everyone understands how much I WANTED to love the book, how much I NEEDED to love the book. I know Scarlett Dawn is a good writer, no, a phenomenal writer, but this was definitely not her best work and that's sad. This definitely wasn't how I was hoping this series would end, and seeing it at such a low bar is both shocking and depressing. I don't understand how the book flopped as it did, but it can't be helped now. I'll just have to wait and see what other books Scarlett Dawn has in store.

I really loved how this book took the characters in new directions but continued the story line that I liked so much. I had been anxiously waiting for this book to be released since I finished king cave last year. My only complaint is that it felt much too short! While some of the loose ends were tied up which was nice, there were plenty of new threads that were left dangling for the next installment.

Scarlett Dawn is my absolute new favorite author. Although I thoroughly enjoyed the book and the writing style, there were a few branches to the story that seemed thrown in. I don't want to give any spoilers but I'm really hoping that they're picked up on in the next series. It's tough when you've been with characters for so long to not want to have some closure for everyone, but at the same time, some of the pieces did seem to be thrown in without much background.

Please torture me with another book I can't finish in one sitting (some of us do have lives you know.) But...

Sadly this wasn't as lengthy of a book as the first two contributions to Scarlett Dawn's Forever Evermore series. If it had been a first time effort I would have enjoyed it, put it down and moved on instead of obsessing over it like I did with King Hall and King Cave. But because I was expecting so much from this concluding novel, I was a little disappointed.

This book wraps up Ezra and Lily's story but it felt rushed, lacking the lingering detail in character development between the two romantic leads that kept me re-reading the previous titles. I liked that they were quickly attracted to each other but I was confused when Lily immediately accepted that Ezra felt possessive and jealous about her when they had really just met again. The story so far had discussed how cold and emotionless Lily and Ezra had become. And even though they had discovered the extent of their earlier relationship they were still basically strangers. Their new relationship (after they had previously and passionately fallen in love with each other and then been magically spelled to forget they ever knew each other) felt abrupt.

I was okay with missing out on more detail in the Com/Mys war but I did mourn the lack of humorous banter and the training and fight scenes between the main and secondary characters and the bad guys. I missed hearing more about Lily's struggle with her dual nature which left her feeling as an outsider. That was an aspect of the story that helped me to feel more interested in Lily's character, but was barely mentioned this time around.

I'm still glad I pre-ordered this book, I needed to get my hands on it as soon as I could. I love this author, I love this world she's created and I needed to find out how Lil' and Ezra were doing.

I just would have liked a little more.

After waiting all year and reading everything I could by Scarlett Dawn to get my fix until October 8th, I'm disappointed. It wasn't as funny, felt rushed to tie up loose ends and Jack & Pearl should have been involved more...I'm left underwhelmed and more reluctant to read incomplete series in future.

I feel bad writing this because I love most everything Scarlett writes but it was just ok for me. I wish the reuniting part was more involved. The book is pretty short - a little time for romance and reconnection wouldn't have been a negative.

What a disappointment! How does this even happen?.. unless Scarlett carefully wrote the first two and then was surprised by their success then had to meet a publishing date? Was this really the ending she planned? Sorry, but as much as I admire her talent for writing this series (5 stars worth on Book 1&2), I refuse to give her a pass on this pathetic Book 3. Maybe she held onto all the good content in order to write the spinoff. Time will tell. Frankly, if it weren't for my fond memories of the first two books in the series,I'd be asking for my money back.

Please take your time and get it right!

I loved King Hall and King Cave. Such amazing characters and a plot with so many twists and turns they were hard to put down. Which made this third installment so disappointing.
The plot was subpar and the interactions between what were amazing characters were mediocre at best. there was none of the intrigue from the previous books and most of the storyline was focused on subplots.
Words can't describe how irritated I am that was one of my favorite series ended like this :/

This book was just plain disappointing. It was shorter than the second book, and much, much shorter than the first which left me craving the detail that made me fall in love with this series to begin with. There was little to no plot, and what plot there was took place almost entirely in a bedroom. There was a lot of talk about how "badass" Lily and Ezra are, but very little of them actually doing anything "badass". The main conflict was resolved via a ridiculous deus ex machina that made me groan with disbelief. We got a more satisfying ending for a lab grunt than the actual villains. Though this was supposed to be the conclusion of the series, there was a confusing epilogue tacked on to the end. I was looking forward to reading this book for months and was severely let down.

I'm disappointed in the third book of the series. I believe that Ms. Dawn must have ran out creativity juice on her third book. We were left in book two wondering how is she going to get the gang of four back together. Well spoiler alert, Not sure to do it give them a memory potion in a vial. Then put together relationships that make no sense. How does Elder Farrar and Elder Cabal even make sense. I don't mind the introduction of a gay relationship, but relationships have to make sense. Elder Cabal always loved Elder Farrar, but his bond with his mate Vivian got in the way. Then to top it off let's go back to the future and kill our adversary, so you can use the scene from the initial attack as an answer to that problem.
Ms Dawn's 1st book of this series is the best then one has to endure a pretty decent.2nd book and a horrible 3rd book.

So....the part that you have been waiting for....the review.

I originally began this series reading King Hall; the first book in the Forever Evermore Trilogy. I really didn't know what to expect. I really hadn't done many reviews online so I was a little worried how my reviews would come across since I was so new at writing them. I mean, of course I have talked about books to my friends, but never did I imagine putting them on the internet. How amazed was I? Not only did I get such a positive outpouring, but I also got quite a few new followers of my blog! How exciting! But it doesn't stop there. King Hall was fabulous!!! I couldn't wait for the next one!
Then King Cave showed up in my email. I was so excited to read it that I literally dropped everything I was doing to read it. I had it finished in about 2 days! I had my review already written as I waited for my publish date on my blog. I am such a nerd! I know!
So, when King Tomb came, I thought for sure, 2 days and this will be done. Then life happened. I became so busy that this book got put in the back of my mind. But when the time came for me to read, I couldn't stop! I read the book in about 3 days. This is saying something considering how much I have going on!
This book is everything I thought it would be! I was so upset at the end of King Cave that I cried true tears of agony. So, when I got started on King Tomb, I was a little apprehensive. I didn't know what kind of emotional turmoil Scarlett was going to put me through. So, as the story began, I read it carefully. I truly mean that.
My heart hurt through the first few chapters because I knew what Lily didn't. So, when she got to see Ezra, my eyes teared up and my heart broke. Because neither of them had any idea what I was put through because of them.
As you go through this book, you are automatically thrown into a blender of so many different important things going on all at once. There is no focus, on this, then that, then go back to this, then finish this up. Oh no! You are on the fast train of Scarlett as she whips through all the unimportant things right to the heart of the story. Once you are there, where else could you want to be? With Ezra. That's where!
At the end of the book, something very important happens. The universe is set back in motion. Scarlett gives me back my heart when she gives them back their memories. Yes, the war is important too, but not as important as that moment. When everything begins to make sense in the world.
Scarlett, thank you for the love you put into these books. This trilogy has been truly uplifting to me. These characters have become my friends. If I ever could imagine myself in that kind of reality, I could only hope to be on the winning side. I miss them terribly. When they each held hands and said "I missed you", I thought, "You have no idea". I love them.
This book is mesmerizing. Scarlett's range as an author is phenomenal. This trilogy could potentially be hazardous to your health if you have a heart condition ;). Be inspired. Be engrossed. Be Mystical.

I am completely conflicted about my feelings for King Tomb. Like really harshly conflicted. On the one hand, I adored this novel, and then on the other, I was really disappointed. Can you be disappointed and really happy all at the same time??

*shrug*

Apparently I can, because as I reflect on this book, that's how I feel.

When I downloaded King Tomb, I immediately was brimming with excitement to finally be able to see how it all ended. After the cliffhanger of King Cave, I was desperate for more. Now as it happens, I was either waaaayy to excited about this book, or waaaayy to sad that one of my favorite series was ending, that I put off reading it for a bit. I would open my Kindle stare lovingly at the cover and then jump back out, to afraid to actually read it. When I finally got up the nerve to read it, I was...yeah, you guessed it...happy and disappointed. I thought for sure that I was just expecting too much or something...

*shrug*

So, I read it again.

Second time around, I was still left with a conflicting mess of feelings, happiness and disappointment vying for control.

After sitting on my thoughts for King Tomb, and thinking it over, and re-reading sections of the book, I've come to this conclusion - I didn't love it, but I did really like it.

I can't go into really much of any detail regarding the plot of the book, because there be a crap ton of spoilers that route. I will say this though, if you've been reading this series since the beginning you will want, no scratch that, NEED to read King Tomb.

Soooo many things finally come together, there is HUGE resolution to so much of what has happened up this point. And there are definite questions to be answered in the books to come in the spin-off series, I seriously can't wait for more.

If you are new to this series, this is not the book to start with, definitely go back to the beginning with King Hall, which is one of my favorite books of all time, because if you jump into these books with King Tomb, you will be very lost.

King Tomb is a lot different then the first two books in the trilogy, the tone is a lot darker, the stakes are a lot higher. The relationships are not at all what they were before and there is a HUGE bomb shell of a relationship that had me freaking the frack out. I kid you not, I was freaking out, screaming and giggling like a crazy person at the revelation that took place between two of the characters that have fascinated and intrigued me since the very beginning.

If you are going into this novel hoping for the four friends to be magically spectacularly right back in each others space again, weeelll...teeny, tiny spoiler...they are not together. Which is significant reason behind my 4 star rating instead of 5 stars. Part of the magic of this series, is the friendship between Lily, Ezra, Pearl, and Jack. The other piece of the magic lays in the romantic entanglements that came from that deep remarkable friendship. To have a lack of not only one, but both of those key pieces to this magical series, just left me not loving this book.

That being said, as a whole this series rocks. Big time. It's one of my favorite series of all time and while King Tomb, is admittedly not my favorite of the series, I still greatly appreciate how Scarlett Dawn ended her trilogy. She gave me emotional payoff, and while I had a hard time with how the last edition delivered that payoff, I am still happy with how she tied everything up. I can not wait to see what Scarlett Dawn comes up with next, she has permanently landed a spot on my automatic read list.
Now go forth and read these books! I can't recommend this series enough, seriously, read these books. Read them now :)

I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

The first two books in this series, King Hall and King Cave, were recommended to me by a friend and co-blogger, and, let me tell you, they had me hooked right from the start! I had a major book hangover after finishing book two, especially with the way it ended, and, by the time we received the ARC for King Tomb, these characters were still so very fresh in my mind, and I couldn't wait to dive right back into their world.

We see a very different side of a lot of these characters. It's shocking, seeing the way they're behaving now. It's as if they're completely different people. it's interesting to see how the relationships develop between the characters. There's a completely different dynamic there than in the past. And it's heartbreaking. Gone is the carefree group of young kings and queens, and in their place are people who are jaded, cold, and more than a little hallow inside. As someone who has fallen in love with these characters in the first two books in this series, I was incredibly sad for them, and as angry as they were that they had to go through this. Luckily, they're pretty smart, and we don't have to suffer for too long before pieces start to fall into place. But there are still plenty of complications to keep them busy. And, speaking of complications, this author definitely does not disappoint when it comes to drama and twists and turns! There were plenty of things that left me saying what the heck?!, things that I never saw coming.

One thing I was worried about before starting this book, was that we wouldn't get much interaction between Lily and Ezra, at least for a good portion of the book. And after reading the teasers that were released, I was even more worried that the interaction they did have would be full of insults and hurt feelings, and that I'd be heartbroken the entire time, cringing at what these two had become to each other. Fortunately, while there was definitely a strong dislike between Lily and Ezra during their first few scenes together, it didn't take long at all for them to start feeling that pull towards each other and start things off in the right direction.

We get to see Lily and Ezra basically fall for each other all over again. How fantastic is that? Things get just as hot and heavy between the two of them as before, and I think I loved them even more as a couple this time around.

While I did really love this book, I was still left wanting. I was really hoping for more of Jack and Pearl. They disappeared a lot during book two and, while I know this is Lily's story and not everyone's, their friendship and bond was something that really pulled me into this series, and I missed it. I also loved the few scenes with Lily, Ezra, and their baby. I would have loved to get more of those three together. There were also some things/characters that I felt were left unresolved, leaving me with several more questions-- Elder Venclair, Julia, Elder Ferrar, and that mysterious third task Lily was meant to complete. Another thing I would have enjoyed more of? That edge-of-your-seat action that had me so enthralled in the first two books. While this one absolutely had its fair share of drama, It wasn't quite as much of a page turner as the previous books in this series. Don't get me wrong, that's OK. I think I was just expecting something slightly different. Having said all that, I am certainly not one to complain about a book that focuses a bit more on romance than suspense, and I still couldn't put it down! If you haven't started this series, do so ASAP! It's incredible and so very addicting. If you have read the first book, or first two, then know that this installment is just as fantastic. I wholeheartedly recommend this one!

An eARC Review:

~You know sometime when a beloved series come to an end,and in your mind you pictured a certain ending. But the truth is you can never be satisfied, because you've wish the series would just keep going? ->that's how I feel about King Tomb.

King Tomb really took me on a roller coaster ride, at first I was so excited to finally learn about the gender of Lily and Ezra's child. Then I was sad by the estrange relationship Lily and Anthony shared in the book. I was really looking forward to Lily and Ezra's reunited. And I was quite surprised how it actually went about. Let's just say there was nothing warm or happy about the reunion. But no worries, Ms Dawn didn't torment her readers long. Ezra figured out early on that he was the father of Lily's child and he and Lily were actually married. The ending though, I thought it was rushed and not entirely organized.

I think I would've like this book a bit longer (but I am greedy when it comes to a story I like). I am not sure the actual length of King Tomb yet, since I am reviewing an eARC copy.

Since King Tomb was mostly focus on Lily and Ezra, so when it comes to other parts of the book, say the war, and how the way Philip Masterson goes down. These other bits became more like a background and an afterthought in King Tomb. The actions of "war" part was quite short, I think merely a chapter. Jack and Pearl were notably absent throughout the book, and were only briefly mentioned in the very last part of the book. The "method" to hunt down Philip Masterson down was interesting, but it was still fairly short and quick, not to mention too easy. The lack of elaborations and explanations could make the readers easily missed the connection from King Cave. A small hint, it has to do with the deal that Lily made with “Clarice".

Something I would've like to see but was absent in King Tomb, remember the Vizoac (lions) from King Cave? Well, sadly they basically have no use in this war, at least not the way this book was written. In fact they were hardly mentioned, which was quite disappointed since I've loved reading about them.

I am not entirely sure how I feel about Anthony's surprised situation, I thought it seem a bit force and out of place. I don't recalled even slight of possibility from the previous books. I get the wow, and surprise effect. But really, the situation was baffled and mostly weird, awkward for me.

So did it all make sense in the end? Well maybe, maybe not. I think it really depends on how you read this book, for me I mainly focus on Lily and Ezra, everything else was secondary. And with that mind set, even though some of the theories and results seem vague and somewhat scatter, I get the idea and was okay with them.

I am sad to know there will be no more books about Lily and Ezra, but in a way King Tomb was a perfect ending to the first forevermore trilogy. I look forward to read the next new trilogy of the Forevermore series.

Fans of Ms Dawn will not be disappoint, you will find all the good stuff we like about Ms Dawn's writing in King Tomb. If you are new to Scarlett Dawn's book, definitely start reading today! Ms Dawn's writing style really draws you in and take you on a ride along with all of her lovely characters.

Happy reading! XO

Despite the 3-star review, I would still strongly recommend this series to anyone. The reason for the 3 stars on this last of this trilogy is that it's too rushed and leaves no resolution. Really, this book was such a disappointment after King Cave (book 2), which was great in how it introduced different characters and built up the relationship between Lily and Ezra and their interactions with those around them. Then the author give us this "book" which, first of all starts up in the middle of a story due to the way that King Cave ended, focuses only on Lily and Ezra, then after the big reveal between them, throws in a couple of other surprises, then wraps the book up with no resolution. It just makes no sense. Lily and Ezra still can't be together because of Law 6002 so what's the point? Exactly, that's how the book ends with no explanation from the author on how Lily and Ezra are going to continue to be together. Unless the point was to teach them to be more discreet?

At the end of King Cave (Forever Evermore #2) Lily, Ezra and their fellow royals were in a pretty dire situation. I did wonder how this story was going to play out. I was expecting a reasonable amount of separation between Lilly and Ezra and I had mentally prepared myself for that. As it turns out, there was really no need to worry. I don't want to spoil the story-line for anyone so I wont go too much further into that but I know that often in sequels, the main couple spend a large chunk of the book separated but this wasn't the case in King Tomb.

Lily and Ezra are smack bam in the middle of Mystical/Commoner World War II, but this installment was definitely more romance focused and less focused on the battle side of things. It had just enough war info to keep the story-line interesting, without bogging the reader down in too much detail. The battle scenes that are featured lean heavily towards the 'fantasy' side of things and are written in a thrilling and engrossing way that will keep you flipping the pages.

I did miss Jack and Pearl in this story. They didn't feature heavily, but it wasn't really necessary to the story to have them involved in the entire book. I still missed the playful banter between the four of them that we got to see so much of in book one. Hopefully we will get to see more of these two in the future.

This book held quite a few surprises for me! Some of them I did NOT see coming but loved! One of my absolute favorite things about this series is the rich and diverse range of characters. Race, sexual-preference or age is no issue. We always get a varied and nonjudgmental mixture of characters that really bring this story to life.

The ending of King Tomb was a little different to what I thought it was going to be. Not quite as conclusive as I was expecting and slightly confusing until I did some research and discovered that this trilogy is the first Forever Evermore trilogy, meaning there will be more. The main characters story-lines were more or less wrapped up in this final installment but there is definitely room for more so I can't wait to see what the next trilogy brings!

I was so psyched for this book! It’s the final book in the Forever Evermore trilogy and the last one left you on the biggest “omg!” moment ever.

So you can imagine my excitement when King Tomb finally came out!

Lily had her memory taken away from her, but she doesn’t know why. Her closest friends and family know the reason, but are unable to tell her. She’s forced to take care of her child while dealing with the war against coms, when she finally finds out who the father is. A discovery that could change everything.

I have to say I did enjoy this book, but it was a bit of a let down after the first two. So much happens in King Hall and King Cave that the final installment felt a bit rushed, especially the end. It was too much of a “tied in a bow” ending. That’s how the war was won? Really? I would have loved to have seen much more of a confrontation. Ms. Dawn does leave us with some questions which will make readers pick up the next trilogy, but I would have liked to have seen a bit more of a developed plot. I also wish I could have seen more of Pearl and Jack. We only see them for about the last 2 pages–if that. They were such an integral part of the story beforehand that it’s a bit of a shame to not introduce them earlier.

Lily and Ezra are biting as always (no pun intended ;-)) which made you want to see where their relationship goes, especially after having their daughter Isa. There are some steamy scenes in there, whew! ::fanning herself:: However, I think my favorite character in this whole series is Antonio. I feel that he really needs a book of his own! We learn a lot more about his past and I can’t wait to see how that impacts the future.

Overall, not my favorite in the series, but I have to recommend this book because the first two were so fantastic. I have a feeling this was a bit more of a transitional book for the next trilogy which I will definitely be picking up and you should too!

I loved it! This trilogy is just incredible. Scarlett Dawn created a magical world of mysticals full of action, danger, suspense and hot romance. The dynamic and likable characters drew me in and made me feel part of their story. They took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions during the journey and I loved every minute of it. I couldn't wait to get my hands on King Tomb so I could pick up where King Cave left off. I dived right in and didn't put it down until I got to the last page. Not many writers can suck me into a story like that. I highly recommend this paranormal/ new adult romance for paranormal lovers wanting a unique and exciting new world to escape to for a while. I plan to read the whole trilogy over again to experience it all at once.

King Tomb by Scarlett Dawn is HANDS DOWN my favorite book that I have read this year. At the top of my Must Reads of 2014 list, the other ladies of The Reading Room Blog can attest to the “HOLY CRAP” message I sent them both when I got my Advanced Reader Copy. In turns heart racing and heart wrenching, King Tomb exceeded my every expectation and I loved every page.

King Tomb picks up several months after the end of King Cave, with Queen Shifter Lily Ruckler leading her troops in the Commoner/Mystical World War and dealing with the devastating effects of a mind wipe that stole all memories of the man she loved. The loss of those memories shapes Lily into a cold and ruthless leader whose only sliver of humanity lies in her infant daughter Isadora.

When Lily is forced to partner with King Vampire Ezra Zeller on the battlefront it’s loathing at first sight. Despite the urge to rip each other’s throats out, the two royals find themselves circling back to each other. As war rages around them, Lily and Ezra must face two of the toughest battles ever – the battle to save their people and the battle to regain their past.

What I Loved: Everything. The Forever Evermore series is one of my favorite series of all time and King Tomb is a perfect blend of paranormal action/suspense and New Adult romance/angst. I’ve been very privileged over the last year to have access to tons of great books created by some very talented authors. Getting the opportunity to read the Forever Evermore series by Scarlett Dawn has been a special highlight for me. Dawn writes The Forever Evermore series with such energy and intensity, I swear I can feel it crackling in my skin as I read. I was quickly consumed by each book of the series with their exciting plots and the power and appeal of the main characters. The banter between Lily and Ezra in King Tomb cuts like glass and flows like water, it’s amazingly natural and I felt like I was eavesdropping on personal conversations. King Tomb cemented Lily and Ezra are one of my top 5 book couples of all time.

What I Didn’t Love: Not a damn thing. Author Scarlett Dawn simply knocked it out of the park with King Tomb.

Favorite Quotes:

“I was cruel, I was heartless… I was a bitch. But not where my daughter was concerned.”

“His gaze was resolute and merciless. I was his. And he was mine. Whether we truly wanted it or not.”

“My heart broke time and again, then blistered with agonized adoration. It pumped deep within my soul. The blackness that had consumed me was flooded with nothing but pure, gut-wrenching love.”

Fans of King Hall and King Cave, King Tomb is the follow-up you were hoping for and then some. If you’re new to the Forever Evermore trilogy you’ll need to check out the first two books before jumping in, you won’t regret it.

Happy reading.

(PS - Can you tell I love these books?)

Ok I have finally finished this amazing book which is the third part of a trilogy and I want to go back and read it all again! Why? Well the first book King Hall introduced a world of Supernaturals that quite simply blew me away with their complexities but I did miss the passion that I normally expect from this sort of book . Now do not misunderstand because it dripped with sexual tension but felt more like a young adult story with very little sexual content. Then the second book King Cave ramped up the heat and delivered with the throttle wide open! That was a very sexy story but the ending! O the ending was the worst book hangover ever so to finally get my hands on the conclusion should have me breathing a sigh of relief but no greedy girl that I am I want more!
So uber sexy vampire Ezra falls in love with a shifter Lily but she is so much more than she seems because Lily is a hybrid yes she is part shifter and part vampire! It's against every law for them to be together and they've tried to keep it a secret but these things have a way of getting out and this pair of lovers just got " burned"badly. To protect the paranormal world and indeed the young lovers the powerful Elders altered their memories and now they have no recollection of the deep commitment they shared but nothing is ever straight forward. First there's the growing problem of the war brewing with the mortals or Coms as the Supernaturals refer to them. Oh and there's also the little thing known as a "baby"! Yes Lily has had a baby but with her memories scrubbed she has no idea who the father is!
Now you can see why I'm jumping up and down as this series has been amazing, the characters are simply fabulous and I want an Ezra of my own! As for Lily well she is such a strong heroine and I know that many are referred to as kick ass or feisty but this girl has gone through so much and is still standing .She understands the pain of loss and yet battles through. She and indeed Ezra are both exceedingly loyal but theirs is not an easy life. Is Lily meant to be with Ezra or is there a new man meant to be in her life ? With so much happening as the war hots up it's a wonder that these characters get time to breathe let alone play but there's always time for some release amongst these passionate characters and it's a world that is open to explorations with very little being taboo.
I don't wish to spoil the outcome for other readers but will simply say this was a satisfying conclusion. It's dominated to a large extent by the war that's threatening their way of life and there are two characters that I missed if I'm honest but the world building is simply jaw dropping it's that good . I love that the author pulls me in and I'm happy to drown in this world she has created. If you can imagine it then this author can do it bigger, brighter and yes in glorious technicolor ! I have a sneaky suspicion that we have not seen the last of these characters and even though it's a trilogy I notice it's described as the "first trilogy " so I am hopeful for more. If you love action and romance then do not hesitate to get this series and simply wallow in all the unctuousness that this talented author shares.

I had been waiting very impatiently for this book to come out. When I finally received my copy via Netgalley, I found that I couldn't put it down. Where the last book left me broken hearted at the ending, this book totally was worth the heartbreak I had felt. While some very interesting things come to light...that I never guessed!!!...I must admit surprise but in a good way. I always have loved the chemistry between the characters in this trilogy, and the author has continued with that passion between Lily and Ezra in different ways that take you on a new adventure. I don’t want to give away any secrets or something in the book I shouldn't, so I will leave my review with this.....If you are going to buy and read any books this year, I would whole heartedly recommend this trilogy. I am sad but pleased at the ending...only sad it had to end.

There is just no going back after reading Scarlett Dawn's work; she is a magician when it comes to writing. I honestly have a hard time explaining how amazing this series is, the range of emotions I experienced reading this book went from empathy to loathing to extreme joy to extremely heated to laugh out loud surprised back to extreme joy to I need more about these amazing characters I have fallen in love with. I currently am in the middle of a book hangover, I read this book in 24 hours because once I started there was no stopping. I feel like if I pick up another book right now that nothing can compare to the amazingness of what I just read, of course I am being a little over dramatic right now but that is what this story does to you. I would definitely say, for me, this is on my list of top 5 favorite fantasy series I think everyone should read.

After the heartbreaking ending to King Cave I was distraught having to wait for King Tomb to come out, eating up every little surprise excerpt Scarlett Dawn posted to get me by while I waited. Thank goodness this book jumps right in to the juicy goodness of Lily and Ezra's forgotten love affair. I was able to fall in love all over again with their relationship, even if it starts out a bit rocky to say the least. I loved reading as they both slowly began to put the pieces together and that moment when Lily sees Ezra holding Isa was to die for. Everything was perfectly put together keeping me on my toes the whole time, and unable to stop reading. Another great part is the surprise love affair that left me shocked and uncontrollably laughing out loud with my husband looking at me like I was crazy. Amazing job by Scarlet Dawn I could not have asked for more out of this story, I just hope that throughout the rest of the Forever Evermore Series these characters I have grown to love will continue to make an appearance. The next book Chosen Thief, Book 4 in the Forever Evermore Series is expected to release Mach 8th, 2015.

A lesser woman would quail under the knowledge that she is with child and couldn’t remember a single thing about the father of said child, or how she came to be in her predicament. Not so with Queen Shifter Lily Ruckler. While there are a lot of questions, and residual pain from being in this situation, she doesn’t allow her subjects to see her sweat. While engaged in a brutal war with the Commoners, Lily goes on about her business, reveling in the comfort that combat brings to her life, and of course the love she has for her baby.

When she and her entourage return to the US, Lily finally gets to meet King Zeller, with whom she feels an immediate connection, even though she believes she doesn’t know him, nor has she ever known him. Soon, secrets they weren’t privy to prior to this meeting have come to the fore, and they are re-kindling the love and the passion they once had in spades. However, they are forced to hide their reactions from the enemy who could very well be watching to exact another form of retribution against them for some real or perceived wrong they don’t even recall participating in.

The author continues to wow readers with her prowess at writing romance in the midst of an action-packed paranormal story. Read this newest installment of the Forever Evermore Series and see how Dawn neatly ties up Lily and Ezra’s story in the saga before moving on to the next in the series.

This series was recommended to me by Micki. One day she told me she was reading this awesome paranormal book with some sexy vampires and I HAD to read it. Even though Contemporary Romance or New Adult is my usual genre of choice, I do love me a good paranormal every once in a while. And since I trust Micki’s judgement, especially when it comes to hot, alpha vampires, I started reading this series. Let me just say that I have thanked her many times for the recommendation!

I LOVED these books! Absolutely devoured them, obsessed about them, ate them right up. After reading King Hall (bk 1) and King Cave (bk 2), I could not wait for this book!

With the intense ending in King Cave, I dove right into King Tomb. The characters were still amazing – the chemistry between Lily & Ezra electrifying. These two are so powerful, so passionate…certain scenes will leave you breathless. And it wasn’t just these two that I loved. I felt a connection to every character in this book - even the ones that I loved to hate.

Scarlett Dawn’s writing flows smoothly, makes you visualize every last detail, and takes you away – making you forget about the real world around you. You will want to sneak-read at work and crawl into the pages to be part of the story. When the author can make you feel so many emotions throughout the book, that (to me) makes a rock star author. I am now a huge fan of Scarlett Dawn! King Tomb gets FIVE amazing stars from me!
