Keeley's Fight (The Protectors Series Book 1)

I enjoyed this book. I would recommend it to anyone who likes alternative lifestyle stories, but I have one BIG objection. Early on in the story, Nate has the thought that Keeley is to young and too beautiful to be a victim of such abuse. It shouldn't matter if someone is the ugliest or most beautiful person, in the world. There is no justification for abuse.

Disjointed plot
The plot was disjointed and at times seemed to be written by two different authors. It started well and I was sorta thinking there may have been a paranormal element to the story with Ty and Nate's mom sending them to the restaurant where Keeley worked and the guys saying she 'the one' after one hand shake but that fizzles out and goes nowhere. Keeley was horribly abused and I thought the guys would help heal her emotionally and physically. They never do they buy her some clothes and let her wonder around their home for awhile until they get her to bed. I prefer the hot bedroom scenes and I read a lot of MFM stores, but considering her background their first bedroom scene was just disturbing with the use of the choke hold. Also by the time they get to that scene the instant love theme is gone and now the guys are thinking she 'may be the one'. Why is the plot changing again? Then she gets physically attacked by the guy's ex and they still do not take her to a hospital. It is her second injury they know of. With her first injury with the author's description I am thinking Keeley had a fractured wrist but no worries they have a first aid kit. With the second I am think head injury and possible broken ribs, no worries no doctor just a shower and dinner. By this time I am really not liking Nate and Ty I am wishing Keeley would leave and get some much needed medical care and counseling and that I did not waste my time on this book, but no she stays and suffers emotional abuse. it's just too much these are no Heros just guys out for sex. Do not waste your time. I kept reading waiting for the guys to step up and be the heros they seemed to be when they met in the dinner they never do and Keeley is so beat down with no support she just keeps going back to them. If your going to do a plot with a heroine that has this much abuse, your going to have to take some more time with the plot to allow healing and trust before the bedroom scenes starts. Also some guy's who actually can protect and seek medical assistance would be helpful,

OMG what an amazing first book! I absolutely loved it! The guys were great, I love how responsive they were to Keeley and how their relationship progressed in the book! Can't wait to read whatever else is to come from K.L. DONN!

Wow I’m in total love with this series already. Who wouldn’t want Ty and Nat as their own, I know I would ! The passion and love these two men show for their woman Keeley is extraordinary. If you like passion and love then this is the series for you. KL Donn has a way with her words that just draws you to her characters. She makes you have empathy and compassion for all her characters. She makes you feel like you are right there with the characters living as them. Her storylines really draw you in wanting more and more.
