Echoes at Dawn (KGI series Book 5)

The flow was different. More unwieldly in that it moved along then dragged then started and rushed... I agree with other reviews that I liked other books in the series better. For me the depth of Grace's torture was too much for her to act in the ways she did. I would have tried to maybe do more research to give a more "real" feel.Loved Rio tho...

I really want both Swannie's and Donovan's stories. Would also like to see the redemption of Hancock...

There are no words to describe how amazing these characters are!!! Such a wonderful read with just the right amount of passion, solidarity, lust and let's face it ALOT of alpha male!!! I'm in love with the KGI men!!! The series is a must read!!!

I have liked books because of story, characters, even writing style of the author or combination of any TWO reasons. Maya Banks' KGI series is one of the SUPER RARE conversions of all THREE.

The characters are three-dimensional, with history, real emotion and believable reactions. The stories are well-crafted to fit each character, playing off the differences between them as well as their similarities and familial loyalty--even those who are not technically family. And Maya Banks writes in an honest fashion that is refreshing--when the occasion calls for the f-bomb, she drops it, when it calls for a more sensitive or even poetic take, she gives us that, too.

Thank you, Maya Banks for the kind of book and writing I've been looking for.

Rio was touted as being the strong silent type the 2nd biggest "badass" as the author likes to say next to Steele yet this book in the series was rather tame. I think it was fairly boring at times because there were so many words about nothing so much that would end up being repetitive. Then considering what the heroine's abilities were this should've revolved around the government and one of their cover ups like her Sister Shea, would've been a more interesting read.

Too much words, not enough action.

After re-reading Fifty Shades of Grey for the 3rd time, I wanted to find something that was similar in romance and that gave me goosebumps as I read. When I searched, these book series popped up, and I've fallen in love with each one! It hasn't taken me long to read almost all 7, but I'm on book 5 now and it's still just as amazing!

I would definitely recommend these series to anyone!

I have totally enjoyed the characters in the KGI novels and look forward to more stories about these adventurous people. The stories are imaginative and exciting, and display loyalty at its best. These people are not necessarily family but they are FAMILY!

I really love this series and hope that Maya Banks continues it for a long time to come. I am already looking forward to the next novel coming out in June.

Though this story still centered around the KGI story line of intigue and mystery, there was a definite love story. What I loved most was the hardness of Rio and his men during battle, but their gentleness with Grace. I love all the conflicts in the story and how Grace and Elizabeth, the young girl dying of cancer, connected. It was good seeing Grace and Shea happy, loved by their new family. Another great read by Banks.

I love this series. Plenty of hunky men and strong women. Wild exciting ride and a fast read. I had trouble putting it down. I've read the entire KGI series to date. Can't wait until the next book in the series comes out. I love that all the characters go from book to book. It's like keeping up with very exciting family members. If you like high octane escape, this series is for you.

I bought the first 4 in a bundle, I tried to purchase the rest in a bundle but nothing available, had to purchase individually. Darn it.

She was smart, analytical and logical. Just the right amount of emotions and her confidence was a joy to read. A perfectly well written and well matched character to our gorgeous, hunky hero. Bravo on another well written book.

I will not summarize this book as others have already taken care of this. However, I would like to say that Grace and Rio are a great couple. Both are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for each other, and Grace is willing to do this for others as well. The reader also receives more insight to Rio's team in this installment. I found the character of Hancock to be very compelling. I have a feeling we will be seeing him again. All the books of this series are well worth reading. However, believe it or not, I am patiently waiting for Donavan's and Sean's stories. I hope theirs will be written some day! Please, Maya!

Couldn't suspend reality & believe the telepathic communication. Or that sickly heroine fell in love so fast & let hero make all decisions. A lot of rescue action & heroine gets strong at end but I won't be reading any other books in this series.

KGI series number 5. Couldn't wait to continue with this series, awesome writing by maya. Sexy as hell Rio ( love his character) totally hot and dangerous a loner, finds a need to protect Grace from a life on the run, like her sister she has been through hell and finds she just doesn't want to keep running. Rio protects her with his life and wants her for his own. he falls in love with with this amazing women This couple both loners, hiding from their pasts but need each other to move on with their lives. Very intriguing and emotional. Sex of course very hot. A must read

Awesome book, loved it. Hope Maya continues to write the KGI novels. I love the Kelly family; they all are very strong characters. This one was especially sensitive and the bond between the main characters was very special, I cried. Will probably read it more than once.
