Undone (Pregnancy & Passion)

So basically the story went as follows: Boy meets girl. Boy wants girl. Boy tells girl he wants to screw her - one night only - and of course girl agrees (apparently he's incredibly sexy and rich). Boy takes girl to his mansion for a night of amazingly hot sex. All night. And it was all good until she gets knocked up. That's where the story turns and my heart hurt from there on out.

I must say my heart truly ached for like 95% of this story. As soon as their night of pasison ended, it was a continual downward spiral, inching back up numerous times, only to force you farther down the spiral.

The emotional rollercoaster ride left me sad, but I couldn't cry. Right when you thought it couldn't get worse, it did. And then it got worse yet. I didn't want to be all depressed waiting to finish the story another day, so I read the damn thing start to finish. I was glad, because there's a very happy ending that left me completely satisfied. Despite all of the emotions spilling from the story, I loved it!! :)

I am in love with this series, even though I didn't read the books in the order they came out. And with this being the last book in the series, I thought it delivered and a job well done. Cam's character was interesting and based on his past, we learn why he is the way he is. He's resistance to relationships long term took its told on his growing or newly developed relationship with Pippa. I love Pippa's character and with this similar concept that has always been used, the author manages to still keep me entertained and interested. Though what brought them together was a pregnancy, watching and reading both Cam and Pippa's story unfold was very pleasant with two strong personalities sticking to what they believe and want.

Would recommend this book, and I would definitely recommend this series.

She doesn't want to lose her independence and she certainly doesn't want to move in or marry a man who doesn't love her. What will happen when Pippa gives birth? Why does Cam run away when he finds that Pippa is expecting a son? Will he love Pippa and his son enough?

UNDONE BY HER TENDER TOUCH was the first book I read from author Maya Banks and it certainly won't be the last. It is a dramatic, at times heartbreaking but ultimately uplifting story about loves' devastating choices, redemption and triumphing against the odds. Pippa is a wonderful, strong heroine that readers will relate to and admire. Cam is a gorgeous albeit a brooding hero whose strength, sensitivity and magnetism will melt every reader's heart.

UNDONE BY HER TENDER TOUCH is a fast-paced and feel-good romance that sparkles with red-hot sensuality, sizzling sex scenes, mesmerizing emotion and intense passion.

Cameron Hollingsworth can't keep his eyes off his sister-in-law's best friend, Pippa. He has decided he must have Pippa for a night to get her off his mind. He is done with relationships and this is the best course of action for him. However, he never counted on the intense feelings Pippa would cause or that their one night together would have lasting consequences.

Pippa Laingley is trying to get her new business off the ground and catering a party for her best friend is great exposure. She didn't count on the night ending with her exposing her heart to the sexy Cameron. Nor, did she realize Mr. I-don't-do-attachments would turn into a possessive loon when they learned their night of passion left them with the ultimate gift.

Cameron's tragic past is clouding his possible future. Can he make peace with the past to find happiness with Pippa? Will she be able to forgive him for his disappointments?

Undone By Her Tender Touch is my favorite of the Pregnancy and Passion series. Ms. Banks pulls out all the emotional stops with this beautiful story! Cameron is very broken when it comes to relationships. He's been hurt so deeply that he'd rather not even take a chance on love again. However, completely locking away his emotions is easier said than done; especially when Pippa walks into his life. Pippa is such a sweet and loving character. It's obvious that her heart is enormous. She is possibly the only person that may ever be able to mend Cameron's broken heart, if he will let her. Undone By Her Tender Touch has many brilliant moments; from Pippa and Cameron's explosive connection to the emotions these characters bring to life this story will have you under its spell. I'm so sad that this is the last Pregnancy and Passion book from Ms. Banks! I have thoroughly enjoyed the series and hate to see it go!

THE REVIEW: Ms. Banks amazes me every...single...time. She has an ability to choose any topic and draw me in. Hell, she could be talking about the Periodic Table of Elements and I'd follow each one of her words as if they were water and I was on a stranded island.

This book gripped me right away and drew me in to the drama. The beginning throws us right into the problem and it made sense to do it that way. Ms. Banks has a way about her writing that is smooth and again, gripping. Her scenes flowed well from one to the next and I sat there reading, falling in love with Pippa and Cameron as we went.

Pippa is just the right female for a broken hearted Cameron and it sure takes him awhile to realize that. But it's what makes the story THAT good. There was one point in the book that I felt tears prickling behind my lids - and that speaks for the author herself and just how well she writes.

This is number four in her series but it won't be the only book I'll read - I'm definitely picking up the other three now that I've read this great book. Five out of five stars for a job well done.

An engaging story that grabs you and reels you in from the start. The chemistry between the hero and heroine are captivating and makes for an entertaining read! Cam has suffered through tragedy and heartbreak that prevents him from loving again. Pippa is a likeable character as an independent career woman uninterested in a lasting relationship. An unexpected pregnancy brings this couple together to make difficult decisions that doesn't involve the usual boring chatter that goes back and forth in this type of storyline. I haven't read any of the previous books that are part of the Pregnancy and Passion series, but this final book has sparked my interest in looking up the other titles!

"Undone By Her Tender Touch" is the final story in Maya Banks' `Pregnancy and Passion' quartet and gives Cameron (Cam) Hollingsworth's story. Pippa Laingley is one of the close-knit circle that includes Ashley, Sylvia and Carly who have paired up with the strong males who are in business together. Each male had to learn a hard lesson before he is able to win his happy ever after and Cam is definitely no exception. A mutually acceptable one night stand with Pippa quickly morphs into a waking nightmare when a failure in one of the condoms results in an unexpected and undesirable tie. Cam has a painful past and is unwilling to allow anyone into his heart but is unable to explain his shortcomings to Pippa although he is strongly attracted to her. The constant swing between attraction and rejection is confusing to Pippa who is struggling with her own issues, including the start up of a new business that is fraught with roadblocks. The bond between Pippa and her female friends will be required to help her weather the emotional seesawing that she is undergoing while both she and Cam work out their issues.

Another poignant romance in the series. The author deftly depicts the possible consequences of depending on only one form of birth control and the impact on lives and future plans when an unexpected pregnancy occurs. Cam is the final member of his close-knit group to succumb to the reproductive curse or blessing (depending on your perspective) that they all seem to be fated to emulate. His suffering and mental anguish from past events have caused him to wall himself off but he must learn to cope with his undeniable bond with Pippa and their child. Again, this was a tamer version of Ms Banks' writing but still an enjoyable read.

This was very good ending to this series and would have been a five star rating if not for one phrase "her take no prisoners attitude" which has been repeated a few times in Maya Bank' Harlequin Desire Books. She is one of the most descriptive authors out there so seeing the inner strength and integrity of her heroines described in the exact same manner within a series was a bit jarring. That being said, there still aren't many authors that have her talent for pulling me into a story or that can make me smile and cry at the same time.

Cam was a complete jerk from the beginning. One of those men that thought if they kept everyone pushed away life would be fine. Pippa proved to him otherwise, sweeping in and knocking him of his feet and never taking a back seat. This was a really good book. I recommend this and all Maya Banks books.

This book is a classic Maya Banks work, gorgeous brooding hero and a slightly different heroine. Pippa is feisty and is not afraid to say whatever is on her mind. She is also not a doormat! She is so refreshing, she doesn't take crap from the H and give a remarkable set down when he is acting like an a.s.s. All in all a good read.
