this was a very nice book with awesome pictures. i did sent it back however because it was a little too easy for my 1st grader who reads at a 3rd-4th grade level. it would have been great for her a 1-2 years ago. it's probably perfect for a kindergartner or pre-schooler who reads with a little help, or a 1st grade who reads at an average level. overall it's exactly what you'd expect from national geographic, which is nothing less than excellent.

This book went along with our volcano that we bought and built. All the kids learned a great deal from this book. My son still picks it out during nighttime story reading or will randomly bring it to me to read during the day.

The book jumps around and each section has almost no information. This book will definitely be sold to the used book store first chance I get. We bought it because we took our first grader to Mount St Helens and he loves volcanoes but this book was really watered down and not worth purchasing.

I wish it had more in depth information. Great for Elementary students (3rd and 4th graders). But my 5th grader needed more info than this could provide. Which is fine because she learned how to do ample research for this project, but I just expected more from National Geographic.

I purchased this to complete a volcano-themed gift for my 7 year-old nephew. I also bought him a volcano making kit, so this was the perfect accompaniment. The book is filled with bright, colorful pictures, and it really keeps his interest without providing information that is too hard for him to understand.

A volcano erupted and almost killed the people and the volcano when is erupted it cracked the whole street . The volcano is so hot that the rocks all melted . A volcano can break a house like a hurricane .My review of the book it tells me about volcanoes and what volcanoes can do like i did not know that a volcano can break a street into pieces.
