Giant Print Compact Bible - Imitation Leather

I was worried because the info on this Bible said it was swmall enough to carry, but with giant print and I didn't see how that was possible. But, it was, indeed, exactly as promised. This Bible was for a friend, and I was happy to be able to provide her with a Bible that has nice, clear, LARGE print. It is a very reasonable price, comparable to paperbacks, yet the cover is a very nice leather-looking type of thing. It is different from my Bible in that mine is a study Bible with all kinds of notes. Other than that, they are the same. The only thing I didn't like was that the I just recently was told the NIV is missing several verses! I checked and it's true. So, if they have a KJV or some other version, I would get that one the next time.

This is an exceptional Bible for being compact! I can actually read it without reading glasses. I bought it for my vehicle so I would always have God's Word with me no matter where I was. I am not ashamed of the Gospel or my faith and I will take it in anywhere to read it when I have the time. I am so impressed by it. I've never even seen a single column, but it is good. The book is thick but not too thick. It is simple for carrying. I also bought a case for it so I can have highlighter or whatever when I need it.

I would recommend this Bible to anyone. It's even good enough for a reading Bible at home.

It is NOT a study or reference Bible. It has God's Word in it and that is it.

Dissapointed, freighted a copy all the way to Australia. Freight costs more than the book, and then its NOT leather. the store needs to tighten up the "leather" label on bibles or their will be legal action in australia. Ads should clearly state , genuine leather (hide) , bonded leather, or imitation "leather look" . Bible will crack up in Australias climate. too expensive to return by mail.

I purchased the black premium leather version (not to be confused with the bonded or imitation leather versions). This is the best made Zondervan Bible I've seen. I compared it to the brown premium leather version of this Bible (which I found at Mardel and returned once I received this one) and I feel this black one is much nicer. The leather and binding feels better. The black color is much nicer than brown which has odd mix of grey in it. Both have sewn binding and raised edges with art guilding, but the brown leather feels a little 'rubbery'. If you're comparing these two premium versions, the black one is the nicer of the two.

The type and font size are great (I plan to use it to preach from so the bigger font is a real plus). The Bible is a little thick to be compact, but it is a very manageable size. It's fits in my work bag nicely and is actually lighter than expected. It is a great Bible to have on-the-go. It's size is specially impressive when you consider the font same. I also really like the single column layout, it makes it very readable. Pages are a little thin and creates some ghosting, but I think it's a very fair trade off for getting such a compact Bible with this large of print. The outside of it is great. A raised spine and art guided edges add a really nice touch of class to it.

A+ effort and a great little Bible!

I bought this bible specifically for a bible study method involving color coding. This bible works perfectly for that! I can read it easily without straining, and there is plenty of room for color coding.

This bible has a one column format. My only qualm with this bible is that new books don't start on a new page, but that's to make it more compact I guess. Its not a big deal, and I probably would have known that had I read the description more closely.
I still give it 5 stars.

The single column/large print size (not giant print size) and the compact size of this Bible makes it the best Bible I have ever owned. Not a huge fan of the NIV...have come to enjoy using this on Sunday mornings at my new church. During the week...use online Bibles and their resources. Am looking forward to using this Bible for many years. May eventually give this one away to someone who could use the large print as they get older and purchase an actual leather version of this.

Single column is great. Cover is a bit stiff and has that underlying cardboard feel. I have seen this same Bible in duotone leatherlike soft cover but it was double the price, so for a gift for my friend this was perfect. She is having trouble reading regular or small print, but has no trouble reading this Bible. It does not have tabs. I'm 44 and have no trouble seeing, but I'm thinking about getting one of these for myself in the softer cover. Love how you can lay it across your lap and read like it's a great novel, no columns!

This was not Giant Print and returned it as person for whom it was ordered could not read it was 16.5 point print, but ad did not say this. It was printed in preface to bible, only. This would be considered Large Print, not Giant.
