Truly a wonderful love story! Strength interwoven with love masterly crafted to form an epic love story. The evil character is so scary, but never fret because love conquers all as the town pulls together to ensure a happy ending.

Glynnis Campbell captivated me from the start. Her scenes were discripive enough to get a good strong picture of the surroundings but not so much that it drones on and on as filler. A truly enjoyable read. Thank you for your hard work.

I loved the characters, all of whom are so relatable and realistic. The author has a gift of describing the life and times vividly and enlightening the reader effortlessly. The sexual tension and romance was well written with just the right touch.

I really enjoyed this book. It's a somewhat different plot and a wonderful love story. The characters are interesting and the story is well written. I love strong, tender heroes and independent heroines and both were present in this tale.

It was an enjoyable read, and it was sufficient to hold my attention. The twist and turns in the story was not what I expected, but it was great none the less. Suspenseful enough. I really enjoyed the read.

The book started out pretty slowly but once I got past the first third it got better. The love scenes were pretty lengthy and repetitive. For a free book it was okay, if I would have paid for it, I would feel cheated.

Free kindle books are so often disappointing that I had no real expectations for this. Yet somehow I was pleasantly surprised. The story of Rand and Florid is a solid tale with plenty of romance an d a little danger. I have read a couple of this author's books and I love her writing.

Great read. Florie is a strong independent female. The huntsman is a key character who is also strong but much more aware of negotiating daily life and the politics of the area. Fair amount of suspense.

An enchanting tale. Life in that time at its best and worst. Love, greed, loyalty, all the feelings of life written by a master hand. Glynnis tells a truly marvelous tale. I have added her to the list of favorite authors.I cannot wait for the next one.

Fast moving, suspenseful look at the hard times of medieval Scotland. We should not forget what the masses suffered in that time, especially with them seeking to separate themselves from Britain now.

I absolutely loved this story! It was one of those hard to put down stories. The heroine's personality and confidence was refreshing, and the hero was so engaging. Chivalry isnt dead and shines through in this story. Thank you Glynnis Campbell for another fantastic read!
