The Skies of Pern: Dragonriders of Pern

Anne Mccaffrey left us with a wonderful book. The Skies of Pern shows us how the dragon riders will still be a needful part of Pern. This was (I think) her last book and it is just as good as her first. Her son will still let us visit Pern . But I will still miss her and all the books she wrote. What a gift for future readers

What do dragons and their riders do once the reason for their existence is over? How do they cope? What does the future hold? This book gives some of the answers but leaves the possibility open for more books about the Dragonriders of Pern.

Fell in love with Anne McCaffrey's dragonrider series YEARS ago with "The Dragonriders of Pern" trilogy! This book from you has made it possible for me to fulfill a dream of obtaining the series in hardcover!!!

I first read this author when the first Pern stories appeared in Analog and always admired the dragon riders. I missed some of the intervening books but was brought up to date nicely with this one. A nice read.
